When you said "put it on like a backpack " it got me thinking . What if you tied onto a backpack or laced your rope through the backpack with the 2 tails coming from the bottom to the thing you are dragging. I hope that makes sense. Also this would be good for dragging a deer out the woods. 👍
I wouldn't hook it to my pack because it is already to heavy hahahah and would put unnecessary stress on it but you are on to something because they sell the old army surplus straps separately for the 60s area packs so you could make a rig just for pulling
