- The Internet is abuzz with videos and articles chronicling the upcoming April 8, 2024 solar eclipse. Many people say it's a sign God's judgment will fall on America. Why?
The eclipse cuts a path through the United States which intersects a previous solar eclipse from 2017. In doing so, the two paths form a nationwide "X" over the United States. The eclipse also passes over a series of cities and towns named "Ninevah," "Jonah," and even "Rapture."
Some say this is a warning of God's coming judgement. Others say it indicates the day the church will be raptured. So which one is it?

I read some of the comments from his video but I did not watch it at least not yet. People don’t agree with his assessment which is probably why you started your video saying your opinion also would not be popular.

I haven’t heard anyone say it is the rapture or an omen. It’s just of interest. Considering the times we live in…? I do think God speaks through the heavens..declaring His glory, declaring a Savior is born. You’re right. It is not a salvation issue. Some believers think it could be a sign. We all love Jesus and can love one another and lift up Jesus. Let’s pray for each other. I’ve been wrong about things in my 50 years of walking out my salvation. I do pray that maybe the eclipse will cause the lost to look to God, to examine their hearts, to seek Jesus.

I have to agree that I don't need an eclipse to see where America is now. We abandoned God quite a while back as a nation, and our leaders have no moral compass with which to plot the course ahead. Enjoy viewing the eclipse if we are here, God created all this and glory to His name! Unless you are in KY, it will probably rain that day. Maranatha!

I agree. It is obvious to those who are paying attention. But perhaps these signs in the sky are a way of waking up those who have their heads in the sand.
Another interesting fact-- there were two eclipses 7 years apart, 546 BC and 539 BC, and 539 was the year Babylon fell to the Persians.
That is a pretty strange coincidence. And maybe, just maybe, that'll get somebody's attention. At the very least, if the country does fall apart this year, no one will be able to blame God for not warning everyone. They may have missed all the other signs, but I don't think there's anyone not aware of this coming eclipse!
Hey Britt, love your videos. I'm not here to say you're wrong, however, the scriptures do teach that the sun and moon and stars were given for "signs" and seasons. While Im not saying definitively that this eclipse is a sign, I am saying that when something so unusual takes place we should be extra watchful and prayerful going forward. Eclipses aren't rare but this occurrence absolutely is. Before the 2017 eclipse it had been 99 years I believe since an eclipse going across the U.S. had happened. To have another one 7 years following the first seems be something to be mindful of. I do agree that these signs will most certainly pick up during the Tribulation, but I do think that signs in the Heavens are for now as well. I don't really give any credence to the Ninevah thing, but again, I do think this eclipse is noteworthy. Also, I don't think that this means judgement will fall on that day, but I do think that when unbelieving people see things like this, it gives them pause to consider the heavens and perhaps, God Himself. I think it could be a merciful God entreating our nation to look up.

Just because the Bible gives no specific statement about an X indicating judgement of a nation does not necessarily mean that this isn't the case. God reveals much to us but not everything. There is surely plenty that we are not to know this side of Heaven.

We are to live "ready" everyday! The coming eclipse is so interesting to look forward too and the different circumstances surrounding it are fascinating but ... we might see the Rapture before April 8th, on April 8th or maybe a long way down the road! Be ready always!
I've watched a lot of videos on this. Uptime church or God a minute? They're using astronomy along with mathematics and then biblical scripture. I don't know how they do this but it's exciting and I'm praying. Britt you can't dash people's hopes especially when you're always speaking about the oncoming financial collapse. We put our hope and faith in Jesus. He is the blessed hope. We know that no one knows the time. I saw where they're looking in Esther and a few other places. I'm lost with all that but it sure would be wonderful. I understand why people don't want people looking as it dashes their hope and they fall away but truth is that God tells us to watch and the ones that are watching are standing firmly on Jesus and can afford to be watchful. There are even Christians still wanting to cling to this world and their book selling. The background proves it in every video. It's sad there are Christians that are so tunnel visioned they can't get the signs placed everywhere. Look up Psalm 19, why is Britt assuming something has to happen right on that date??? God doesn't work this way, he can't believe in the possibility of dual prophecies?? How else is the Bible a living book???

Yep, I listened to Tom Hughes (hope for our times).nice guy. But all the programs are the same. Have a prophecy update, tell about all the things happening, then in the same breath say it could be today or 50 years from now! They don't even believe what they say. It's all about books and programs.

If people are watching this video, and it dashes their hope, then they are putting their hope in the wrong place, which is exactly what he is saying. It's fine to watch videos speculating about the rapture/signs but if someone can't watch a video from another point of view without their hope being dashed, then they have a problem because if your hope is in Jesus, nothing can dash that hope. People can really lose sight of what is important really fast getting caught up in all the exciting speculation.

Excellent commentary and staying grounded in Word. I came to the same conclusion as you when all the blood moons hoopla came out. We will not know of the rapture's timing until it's here, anyone predicting a date is not a person to listen to.

I tend to lean towards this being symbolic of something God is doing or is about to do. But I also agree with you Britt. We as Christians need to be level headed and not freak out about every abnormal thing that happens. Especially when this particular event is not prophesied in the Bible. Also about confirmation bias, I love what Chuck Missler said. “When you torture the data long enough you can get it to confess to anything”. Whatever happens it’s an exciting time to be alive.

There are many references to events to come that are not specifically defined so well as getting down to extreme detail like this does. There are many things that are to come that have no detail on how it is going to happen. What I get from this question is are we talking about this eclipse being a warning of things to come in the future or are we talking about it being a trigger for things to happen now. I do not believe it means on the 8th the rapture happens and all hell breaks loose. I do believe it is a huge divine heads-up from God. Remember the rapture we believe in is not in the Bible, but we believe and don't scratch heads over details on how. Most people are too busy trying to figure out when which they cannot do. I personally believe that America is already under ever-increasing judgment and the further out of our lane we get as a society the worse our judgment will become because the hedge of protection America once enjoyed is going away. The word tells us "look up" and is specific on signs in the heavens. So while I don't believe it means a huge event is coming now, I also believe that we should pay attention to the heavens. If you truly have the "peace that passes understanding" you won't feel the need to identify the AC, forecast dates etc...and will be content to "occupy" until He comes. If you are saved, when and how things will happen shouldn't really matter to you because you will be with Him that very second He comes for us. Sorry you catch so much flack Britt and I don't think you are stealing anyone's hope for what it's worth. Jesus IS our great hope and no man can change that.

Heres a fun fact....this eclipse pattern happened once before back in 1807, with the second pass occurring in 1811. Approximately 2 or 3 months later the new Madrid fault had a 7.6 earthquake that was felt as far north as Boston ma. It could be that the pull of the (gravitational )moon may have been a factor. I'm not saying it's a biblical phenomenon, per se, but I wouldn't rule out a earthquakes in various places, thing, to happen, since Jesus said that was something to occur. I actually will be surprised if one doesn't occur. Simply because geologists have been noticing an uptick in seismic activity.

I am glad someone with logic addressed this topic! The occult definitely use these alignments for rituals therefore instead of spending time sensationalizing these events to fit what "we want to see" we should be praying.
Sensationalizing and running with these speculations only pushes more people away from and brings more scoffing to the church.

Thank you for this, Britt, I really needed to hear this today. I've been a Christian for 33 years and am a very rational and grounded person who knows God's word!
I'm ashamed to admit, but last September when many watchmen and preachers were shouting "Rapture", I got caught up in that excitement. Believing there was a high probability of it happening because of the jewish holy days that month. I knew in my heart that the Lord would not rapture us at the most obvious time, yet I held on to hope, until there was none. I really felt stupid and realized I should have stuck to what I knew was true, the word of God. Now, just a few months later with all these coincidences and people proclaiming an ominous judgment and likely rapture, I was starting to get caught up in the excitement again.
Boy, is the enemy sly! I was allowing myself to get worked up again, looking for more and more information . But then, I saw your video pop up. I believe that was God!
The enemy is very shrewd!
The fact that the whole secular world is looking at this event as well, makes me realize more and more that this is a perfect way to turn the hearts and minds of Bible believing Christians onto these hyped-up "signs" and off of following the real TRUTH!
God is going to judge this country soon, but no eclipse is going to point me to that!

I understand where you’re coming from. But there’s nothing wrong with being excited and looking up. What is that supposed to look like in the body of Christ on the Internet? We are clearly living in the end times and can see that he’s coming soon. I don’t think it’s so wrong for people to be excited as long as they’re not leading people astray by saying they think the rapture will definitely happen at a certain time - obviously that’s not right. As mature believers, we understand that no person can tell us when the rapture will be. I’ll just leave it at this… when Jesus does come to get us, would you rather be in the “skeptical camp/ annoyed at other believers for watching every moment.. or the “we were really excited until he harpatzoed us” camp? .. he will be getting us at some point! ..and by the looks of literally everything it’s got to be soon. If All of us are wrong, and the rapture is many many years away, and I die an old woman who spent her life, watching for Jesus to come back and being excited about it.. well, it’s hard to imagine that Jesus would be unhappy with that. Hope Deferred Makes the Heart Sick. Many people who make predictions, have visions, dreams or claims without supporting Scripture to back them up are deceiving people. Maybe they are unaware how much damage they are doing. Some because they truly believe they know or some because they want subscriptions, followings, or money. You are absolutely right. Truth can be Painful....but Right. Better to be painfully right in the Lord than to be painfully wrong and hopelessly depressed while waiting for His Glorious Return. Keep Looking Up and Reading His Word.

"Tell them to read Jeremiah 51:8-15. He names it 'The Mystery Babylon, The Great Adulteress'. Also, Revelation Chapter 18, the entire chapter. There it says clearly what will happen to America".
@@johngeis7284 Just looked up Dimitri Duduman. Never heard of him. Watched Prophecy for America on a Pastor's site from many years ago. I see what you mean. Will read all the scriptures mentioned including Zech Chapter 14. Was astounded to hear how he said that all the immigrants that were coming from all over to find a better life would be rising up or part of a rebellion against the government that rules this land.
