Savanna view is definitely the way to go when staying at AKL - it’s that view of the animals that makes it such a special place. We stayed in a resort view room and regretted it.

We love visiting Animal Kingdom Lodge. The rooms at Kidani could really use an update, but the resort as a whole is the most magical place to stay at Disney World. How can you compete with watching a giraffe and zebras from your balcony while you drink your morning coffee? Incredible.

I love your videos. This is kind of random, but a free activity. Have you considered doing a video about Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long at Fort Wilderness? I haven't been yet, but it looks really fun.
What a wonderful idea!! Adding it to my list of things to do on our non park days on our trip in November! How’s the bus service to and from Disney Springs? Pretty regular or mostly morning and evening? Also, do you need permission to take the shuttle from one side of AKL to the other if you’re not a guest? Thanks!
Bus service is definitely a little faster from Animal Kingdom, so if you’re staying at a resort that gives you free parking at the parks, I would go that route. I think Springs buses go every 30 minutes or so. Not terrible, depending on your timing. You could also make a reservation at Sanaa to try the bread service (so worth it) and then park at the resort. Shuttle is open to everyone. We were never asked if we were guests at the resort and I constantly asked if it was okay for non-resort guests to partake in activities like the tour and roasting marshmallows and the answer was always yes and very welcoming. It’s a perfect non-park day activity. 😃
