I've been using my insta360 x4 recentlly moving around bike using the big crocodile clip, with/without that carbon rod on top of helmet very occasionally on rod behind helmet. Had quite a few comments asking about how I did it, so very happy with mine.
Damn! That a lot of work ( AND TIME!! ) just for the Overlays 😲
THANK YOU for investing it for us 👌
I really want the x4
Gold! Thanks
Lucky that mount didn’t break! Mine did and others too. Very heavy weight to hang that far out.
I see your pal with the white bib shorts is back 😂
Hopefully he's not giving you nightmares.
I get the ride data by using the Insta 360 remote to record footage on my X3. Makes it easy to import the stats into the video.
Yes, thanks adding to the thread. I still feel the ride data is King. Hopefully Insta360 get it sorted asap.
Do you suggest upgrading the storage on the GO 3S as well as I will be of those average punters using this camera
If you are shooting longer stuff 1hr + in 4K then yes, but keep in mind the mini mode can't even for for the long battery wise.
Try Telemetry Overlay instead of Garmin VIRB.
Yeah for the low low price of $140.
Thanks for the comment Ben. I did mention this one at the end of the vid. Mitch Boyer was showing me it in France and I thought it looked just as painful!
12:43 na, it ain't tedious, it's just too freckin expensive. the guy thinks he's making more money by selling less copies but for a higher price than lowering the price but lots more will be willing to buy.
What about wahoo users? 😢 no app support?
Surely it's coming. It's adding value to the Coros Dura that I have, that is for sure.
Hasn't been a new fix for the virb map since it stopped working last year. How do you get it to work?
phone app sucks as does the desktop. I use a X2 when ride on the road which has been good but IQ isn't great but does the job. Would love an X4. can't get garmin to link to the phone app though.
you could either view your strava or garmin file and see where the segment you want to overlay starts and sync by that time difference, or when using virb, temporarily choose a large map overlay and view the video footage while dragging in the g metrix sync and see where the dot on the map overlay lines up with where the video is at.
How about non standart mounting base like trek madone?
The standard bar mounts should work for a non integrated bar system, assuming that is what you're referring to.
Hey @@CamNicholls, I’m a Trek Madone rider and I’ve had the same question. The Trek Madone integrated handlebars don’t have the usual 2 screw holes underneath so unfortunately, the integrated mount won’t work with this set up. The only solution I I’ve found is your Frankenstein set up in your video up the Galibier!
Thanks btw for sharing that!
Live your content, mate. Keep up the amazing work and entertaining/educational content. 😃🤙
@@jaywhitehead195 I see, glad the Frankenstein can be of use! Cheers Jay
I chatted with Insta360 and they told me they're working on adding more bike computers to their mobile app but are not planning on adding .fit file functionality to the desktop app. Looks like we're getting conflicting information.
Thanks for sharing. I heard it second hand, so perhaps my source is dodgy!
Did insta360 not send you the also awesome Bike Headset Cap Mount? This one mounts to your headset cap and together with the Action Invisible Selfie stick, solves the problem for integrated handlebars.
The problem with the Bike Computer mount is that it’s still too near to the rider, and the view of yourself and the handlebars is very distorted and unnatural…..
Yes they did David, just not my cup of tea, like the rear mount. Thanks for adding to the thread
