    Look up Willhem Reich characterology. It’s a theory where our psyche influence our muscles which act as a body armor(defense). The schizoid one is exactly the pattern you describe here. My body was twisted, my right thoracic cage compresses and my lots of pain in my right SCM. I was fully healed and I’m not twisting (leaving) physically and mentally anymore. It’s a long story story but I watched your videos some years ago and now my body and my life has changed tremendously. Thank you Neal for making me couscious of my patterns.

      @ The Reichian theory led me to find why I was twisting out if fear. I could not remember what trauma had caused that. In a bioenergy book it said that the trauma had to be really early in the development even in the mother’s womb. Anyways I started meditating and observing my thoughts and feelings/mostly apathy. Learned about chakras and what I read about the root charkra led me to a realisation that I was ungrounded living in my head mostly. One day I made a root chakra meditation about self love and I start weeping and had a spiritual experience where I saw my life flashing before my eyes where I forgave everybody and myself.. Now I know what happenned to me that day. Anyhow, I ask my mother later about it, and she admit not wanting me when learning I was a boy. So I sensed the rejection in the womb. Thats why I was fleeting (mind/body) because my soul was longing to go back before being born.

      @corruptqc8334 Very interesting! I had a lot of emotional issues growing up and then had some major injuries. This caused me to become TOO grounded on the right side and my body became stuck in fight or flight. Many years later I am reclaiming my normal range of motion and re-learning how to breathe without using my neck. Thank you for sharing!

    I have a theory that being in a right BC can cause abnormal heart beat issues, like the pulse being too high at rest even when the person is fairly fit and all the medical tests are normal. Maybe because of deflated left posterior mediastinum creating less space for the heart to beat. Or is it just a continuous sympathetic state causing tachycardia. Do you have any thoughts on this?

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  21 годину тому +5

      @@KnowPainM8 well, in the sense that PRI is truly working on the level of the autonomic nervous system, which the heart and lungs are prime contributors, any
      time a ribcage can’t expand too allow for diaphragmatic breathing, the vagus nerve will be affected to one degree or another, and you can certainly experience abnormal heart beat issues. Our most basic autonomic function is diaphragmatic breathing, so if you lose that for too long, all types of autonomic symptoms can present themselves.

    2:38 same problem. Once my dentist removed a little bit of my left upper canine (less than a mm probably) i totally lost that sensation of having my weight in the left foot. Also left hip overactive expecially on the obturator is gone, left big toe was going to to the right, now is back in a normal position (same on the right but obv in the opposite direction).

      @NealHallinan  22 години тому +3

      @@YukiKawura In regard to the hamstring, yes, but I generally don’t talk about it in terms of strength. The left hamstring is not being used to its full capacity due to never being on the left leg appropriately.

    if something is going on in the mouth, my bottom teeth are crowded to the right, the bottom midline is to the right. Should we see an orthodontist first? i already wear glasses im wondering if i should get a splint or braces to fix the bite

    • @firebirdmotorcarriersoluti4815
      @firebirdmotorcarriersoluti4815 3 години тому

      See a PRI therapist first, because I got noticeably off balance (I didn't feel off balance before) after I "fixed" my teeth. My orthodontist had no idea what it meant when I said I don't feel contact on my left side when I bite down. He said everything looks good, so it's only in my head. So don't assume orthos can really help unless you know what exactly is going on with your body and maybe even have a PRI therapist communicate a treatment plan with them.

    • @Fer-xu2pp
      @Fer-xu2pp 2 години тому

      @firebirdmotorcarriersoluti4815 there is no pri certified person in my area or any other city close to mine. I was watching a different video on splints Neal had made and I guess not everyone needs a splint or a splint can even worsen symptoms. I guess I have to travel to the US to see a PRI with dental integration certificate

    Sorry I still don't get it. How does adduction correlate with anterior torsion of the ilium? Why is in the majority of people the right SISP higher than the left? Isn't that an indication of a right AIC?

    • @qrtkl
      @qrtkl День тому

      Isn't adduction more linked to an high ilium than torsion?

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  День тому +2

      The left AIC equates with "right stance" in a biomechanical framework. AIC simply means "anterior interior chain" of muscles (left hip flexors mostly) that hold a left ilium forward compared to the right.

    • @qrtkl
      @qrtkl 23 години тому +1

      Ok thank you. It is getting clearer. I thought AIC means smth like anterior Iliac crest

    • @NealHallinan
      @NealHallinan  День тому +4

      A left AIC does not have to be cured. You just need to establish a stable stance position on both sides, which generally means the left side needs to be stabilized.

    Rotation of the first vertebra of the Atlas C1 spine causes curvature of the entire spine and pelvis. Please make people aware that in England, X-rays of the cervical spine are taken in a sitting position through an open mouth aimed at the first vertebrae of the cervical spine. This is the only correct and proper way to start a proper diagnosis of the curvatures you are discussing.
