They're building this in the perfect spot; the only things noiser than college students are an interstate expressway and a football stadium! 😂
Thanks for this update. I was wondering what this project was about.
Nice video and view
Seeing this somehow brings back fond, nostalgic memories of the post-ww2 Quonset huts that were “temporarily “ on campus in the 1970s. ;).
The area certainly has changed in the past decades. I wonder what happened to the stop gap theater…?
Once Lucas museum is finished it will be transformed.
That once fairly quiet corner of Vermont and expo will never be the same. La plus ca change..? ;).
The neighborhood around USC has already changed tremendously since the 70s and 80s. The last 10-15 years have been especially noteworthy. Even the Coliseum got a several hundred million dollar renovation a few years ago by USC.
@ yes, so true. Incredible changes. Alumni and donors wealth fueled real estate expansions. It’s a powerhouse. Still, I’m glad I saw it way back when. Pillow concerts at the shrine. ;).
Isn't building housing right next to a freeway a poor choice? Noise? Pollution?
Welcome to LA. The capital of poor choices.
that's perfectly normal in CA.
Please map out the better choices in that neighborhood. It was a parking lot, now it’s a place for people to live. This is not the issue you think it is.
So where else do you build a complex this size within walking distance of USC?
