  • Finally! The day has come! I am installing new suspension on my BMW F30 335i!
Bilstein B8 struts with H&R Sport Springs
This is PART 2 of 2!
FYI, you do not NEED the ECS Tuning Installation Kit - you can reuse all of your stock components if you want. I wanted to keep all of my stock suspension intact, so I opted to buy the ECS Tuning Installation Kit.

B8s have internal bump stops. You should cut the stop down to just keep the dust shield and get more travel back.

I think its the perfect suspension setup for a daily. Finger gap will depend on the tire sizes you go with. In this video I had about 2 fingers. After this, I switched to a taller sidewall tire and it went down to 1 finger gap. Plenty of ground clearance though.

I believe I remember reading forums with pics of people have gone up to 19x 9.5 + stock offsets and put on 255/35/19 on the f30 generation maximum; it was within mms from the shocks. But I think it also depends on how much you lower your car as well so you should try measuring the distance from the brake rotors to your shocks at your ride height to get a rough estimate for your situation.
