I’m sorry but tempest your dumb 2005-2010 was my favorite time in wrestling your just a hater I don’t know what school you went to but during that time a lot of my friends and a lot of kids I knew loved watching wwe with Cena as the top guy.
Cool
I was at Wrestlemania 24 and yes, the Citrus Bowl was a hole. Damn place didn't even have a parking lot, we parked in some nearby alley and hoped the rental car would still be there after the show. WWE really put the lipstick on that pig that day.
I wanna give a little love to Fully Loaded 2000, the undercard might not have been anything to write home about but it did its job, and the last four matches are great. Rikishi Vs Val in a cage for the IC belt and a career moment for Kishi jumping off the top, Y2J Vs HHH Last Man Standing, Angle Vs Taker, and Rock Vs Benoit for the title.
I was hoping we would get a “Best/Worst PPVs of the decade” for the 2000s, 90s and maybe even 80s (maybe a 5 best/5 worst)
We'll get the 10 worst next week
An Ichiro Suzuki reference? 5 star review!
I’ll give them a pass that they are making a reference to a Seattle legend and found a photo of him in a Marlins jersey.
Here’s mine please don’t throttle me for my choices
2000: royal rumble
2001: wrestlemania 17
2002: survivor series
2003: vengeance
2004: backlash
2005: vengeance
2006: unforgiven
2007: royal rumble
2008: one night stand
2009: no way out
Disagree with Vengeance over Mania 19, but hot damn Vengeance 2003 is fantastic. Maybe the best brand specific ppv of the original split.
@@guyincognito9831 idk why but I tend to like b ppv’s over the big 4 don’t get me wrong I love summerslam, royal rumble, wrestlemania and survivor series (in fact I’m watching the triple threat tag team match from survivor series 2002 right now) but there’s something about backlash, vengeance, judgment day, extreme rules and other b shows that I really like maybe it’s because the big 4 shows are like the godfather of wrestling shows and I like to go for something like spiderverse or puss in boots the last wish (I don’t know if that analogy made sense but the point I’m trying to make is that I prefer b shows over the big 4 simply for personal preference)
the last two One Night Stand events are so underappreciated
'08 of course had Taker vs. Edge, but '07 gave us one of The Great Khali's only good matches as well
Not hating, honestly curious, but why one night stand from 2008? To be honest, I hardly remember anything from that pay-per-view, but I’m curious what your reasoning is.
@@bMt5553 because I’ve been watching the dvd I got Christmas in 2021 and I loved this show as a kid
Edge vs undertaker tlc match
Jeff Hardy vs umaga falls count anywhere
Singapore cane match
Stretcher match between Batista and Shawn Michaels
Even Beth Phoenix vs Melina in an i quit match
The only matches I didn’t care for were the first blood match and the last man standing match (mainly because it suffered due to orton getting injured)
Plus it was hard to pick because 2008 was such a great year for wwe ppv’s
One of my favourite parts of my Sunday, the other being a Sunday Roast!
Im just glad 2007 is so praised thats my golden year for when i personally was becoming a lifelong fan
Same but I don’t get why tempest thinks 2006 was a bad year that’s one of my favorite years in WWE.
Crazy how everyone calls 2006 a bad year for WWE. This is one of my favorite years, but then again this is the year I REALLY got into wrestling so maybe that's why.
It's a pretty fine year at best (Angle/Taker at NWO and RVD winning at ONS are definite highlights), but after Unforgiven, the rest of the year falls off a cliff. Just remembered the Kevin Federline stuff that happened then, Jesus....
I'm with ya man Mania 22, Unforgiven, One Night Stand! It was a great year for WWE IMO
I still remember that Cena Edge TLC fondly. It was way better than it had any right to be. I still love No Mercy 07 a lot even though it’s a 3 match show but I love the idea of an entire PPV having one long story arc self contained within it. The Last Man Standing main event is still great!
In ring quality, cm punk plus rvd's win at one night stand were highlights but unfortunately in 2006 there were a lot of lowlights. Shawn vs vince went on longer than it should have and the spirit squad wasnt needed, the rumble show was mid, rey was made world champion and lost to every big guy Vince could find, kurt was doing great work but he left, bobby lashley wasn't over, khali was over pushed, and ECW was over when it started.
From what I've seen. The issue isn't the PPV's. Its the week-to-week TV that was terrible.
Not having cable in Australia, I didn’t see many PPVs, but the one memory I do have is “I’m sorry, I love you”. WM 24 is well ingrained in my head, just an outstanding show
2000: Backlash.
2001: WrestleMania X-Seven.
2002: No Mercy. Yes I prefer It to SumnerSlam.
2003: WrestleMania XIX.
2004: Backlash.
2005: One Night Stand.
2006: One Night Stand.
2007: Backlash.
2008: WrestleMania XXIV.
2009: Backlash.
No you dnt
2000 was incredibly wrong. Fully Loaded was the best PPV that year by a long shot. Every match was either good to great without a single stinker. Trish's debut in a 6 man tag TNA vs Team Xtreme where she and Lita get the biggest pop, Rikishi jumping off the Cage, Y2J vs HHH in a last man standing match, Taker squashing Angle but it's justified, Rock vs Benoit. Damn phenomenal show without a match worth skipping
Hard agree.
true but I still prefer backlash 2000 that was basically wrestle mania 16 and that Austin pop cant type that bro sorry
Nah Backlash clears it. I'll never forgive Undertaker for squashing Angle. Was totally unnecessary
I really am noticing how old some wrestling fans are if they watched in the 90s. I'm in college and didn't even discover WWE until 2016
Same bro. I don't have time to go back to watch it all and get invested like I am now 😅
Agreed that the Steve Austin theme used at X7 was the best
hey Tempest idk if you kno this about Luke Owen but he loves mid-2000s TNA
WrestleMania XXIV is in my top five WrestleMania's ever.
It was my favorite until 39, and then 40
A person of taste 🫡
I swear this is like the 3rd time I've heard the "Most people forget about Wrestlemania 24/Wouldn't have it in their top 10" take in these videos even though everyone says it's one of the best ones
Fully Loaded 2000: am I a joke to you?
This was my answer for sure, stacked card with the triple main event living up to the billing
@@tobiogunyemi7631Y2J vs Triple H delivered. Rock vs Benoit delivered. But Undertaker vs Kurt was awful. Undertaker was so selfish that night
Talking about how good backlash was makes me want a list of “the best of every PPV” where yall go through every PPV stipulation and choose the best one
Dan will hear that WM19 jabs for the rest of his life.
My List:
2000: Fully Loaded
2001: WrestleMania
2002: Survivor Series
2003: Survivor Series
2004: WrestleMania
2005: WrestleMania
2006: No Way Out
2007: Survivor Series
2008: WrestleMania
2009: Backlash
Normally I'd say that the early 2000s are not worth our nostalgia but that would be selling these shows short.
Why would you say that anyway
@@eyeoctave Because I hate Limp Bizkit, I really hate a lot of early 2000s comedies and it was the era of one of the biggest tragedies known to mankind.
@@claytonrios1 Limp Bizkit ain’t the only band from the 2000s. And I personally really like 2000s style clothing
@claytonrios1 i would take LB over so many other artists, i mean this is the same era that gave us Trapt after all
@@pr0udb3ta420 Okay Trapt is genuinely amazing. I'll give the 2000s that.
2004 is easily wrestlemania. You can’t find another mania with 2 champion main events like Kurt vs Eddy and hhh vs benoit vs Shawn. IMO the best main event. That triple threat was absolutely perfect ! Also taker returned as the deadman, rock n sock had one more match, cena won his 1st title, Molly vs Victoria was a good womens match, edge vs Jericho was really good especially with the Trish heel turn.
Royal Rumble 2007 is still my favourite PPV from the 2000's 🔥
Cena literally proving his haters wrong, putting on a classic match against Umaga 🫱🏼🫲🏾
And then the Rumble itself being one of the greatest EVER! With the final 2 of HBK & Undertaker giving us a mini match during the final stretch 👌
UNDERTAKER WINNING WAS PERFECT!! 💯👏🏼
Love this format big man I'm here for best of the 80s
Huge cheers to Tempest for the Ichiro shout out, which is more than he got by non-Seattle MLB reporters during his years in Seattle.
Best part of every Sunday, waking up to Tempest's newest list.
"Get the F out."
I refer WWE to the Worst Finishers TLC episode. It's the STF, not the STU.
I’ve been blessed to see all from 1980-Now I’m from NY I’ve been to many Supercards/PPVs and watch all promotions around the world what a life of wrestling
100% correct on your No Way Out name take. I thought when it was changed to "Elimination Chamber" that it was a massive mistake. Like when Rogers renamed SkyDome to "Rogers Centre". To this day, everyone still calls it SkyDome.
This list could have been called Backlash and friends
The 2000s were when I got into wrestling so this list fed me all of the nostalgia! Great job
2005 should’ve been Vengeance
Smackdown VS Raw 2007 was the best thing to come out of WWE in 2006
I was born in 2007 so I didn't see any of these matches I only started watching in 2011
Loved this video. I need moooore. I need to be fed the best show from every year of the 80s/90s. The best from the 2010s. The best non-WWE event from each year. The WWE moty's from 1985 on, and the best non-WWE moty from those years as well. Tempest, we need you to FEED...US...MORE!!!
Nice, showing Conker
Appreciate the Ichiro love Tempo. Jam that Jam baby
YES TEMPEST, THIS MARINERS FAN APPRECIATED THE ICHIRO REFERENCE!!!
5:27 Never letting Dan off the hook for Wavelength. *_NEVER_*
My picks:
2000: Fully Loaded
2001: WrestleMania X7
2002: SummerSlam
2003: Unforgiven
2004: WrestleMania XX
2005: ECW One Night Stand
2006: Unforgiven
2007: WrestleMania 23
2008: Royal Rumble
2009: No Way Out
Hey @partsFUNknown, I have a request: After watching the finally-loaded-to-UA-cam spectacle that is the Undertaker/Mankind Hell in a Cell match from KOTR 1998, could you guys do a list of top ten feud ending matches of all time? I suspect that list would be dope!
The 2000’s was the best decade quality wise of WWE in their entire history.
The 90’s had a 5 year New Gen bad downturn, the 90’s was only good for the first 18 months of that decade, and the last 2 and a half years of that decade.
The the first 5 years of the 80’s WWE was just getting started and it wasn’t until 1985 when things started looking up for WWE.
And the 2010’s was the worst decade in the history of WWE.
It’s just that 1985 to 1992 and 1997 to 2001 was the hottest two periods of WWE.
But if we are going off of decades, the 00’s was the best decade quality wise in the history of WWE.
I miss the 00’s so much
2000 - Judgment Day 2000 (probably)
2001 - Mania X7 (The greatest Mania of all time)
2002 - SummerSlam 2002 (the greatest SummerSlam of all time)
2003 - Mania 19
2004 - Mania 20
2005 - ECW One Night Stand 2005 (my all time favourite wrestling PPV)
2006 - Mania 22 (there were 3 really good PPV’s that year but Mania 22 just edges out No Way Out 2006 and Unforgiven 2006)
2007 - Backlash 2007 (apart from Vince winning the WWECW title)
2008 - Mania 24
2009 - 2009 wasn’t a good year for PPV’s so I’m going to have to go with Mania 25, even though that Mania wasn’t that good except for WWE’s greatest ever match in Taker vs Shawn.
2000’s best is a toss up between Backlash and Fully Loaded
Not a hipster, but Wrestlemania 19 is the best Mania of all time. IMO, obviously. It was a near perfect show.
7:50 too bad due to copyright its almost IMPOSSIBLE to find the version with the actual song playing instead of the Networks royalty free version on YT etc.
I was at 2 shows on this list, backlash '07 and wm 24
The best announce team. 😂😂😂
I'm feeling generous. So, I'll give you "top 5".
10:11 that's not the line🤣
Having a picture of an empty smackdown from 2016 when you are talking about the 2000s is stupid especially when the ratings for raw and smackdown in that 2000s is still the highest ever if we exclude 1998 and 1999
Backlash 2000 ending should have been how WM ended
Oh boy I wonder what 2001 will be!
5:27 perfect
New list:3
"That’s one for all my Mariner fans out there" He says, while putting up a picture of Ichiro on the Marlins 🤦
Kids these days don’t know the roll of the dice it was every time you just wanted to download a song from Limewire. You might get your song. You might get digital cancer.
Backlash is on this list a lot 😂😂😂
My Opinion
2000: Backlash
2001: WrestleMania 17
2002: SummerSlam
2003: WrestleMania 19
2004: Backlash
2005: ECW One Night Stand
2006: Unforgiven or WrestleMania 22
2007: Backlash
2008: WrestleMania 24
2009: Backlash
My Favourite book is To Kill A Mockingbird
Good choice man. I go for the talented mr ripley for mine
I don't think the DX/McMahon feud in 2006 was pretty entertaining. I don't see how anyone thought it was bad .
As someone who grew up watching Backlash 2004 on DVD. But Backlash 2004 has aged horrifically. In my opinion.
All hail the 2000s
So I’ve attended
Nxt takeover Toronto in 2019
And
Saw edges last match in Toronto last year
And money in the bank is next month and I don’t know if I’ll be attending because my mom will be working I mean she’s trying to get her shift covered but so far it’s not looking promising which means unless things in the next couple of weeks money in the bank will join the list of Toronto shows i haven’t attended next to
Unforgiven
Survivor series
Summerslam
And
Raw 2022 (that one I missed due to a blood sugar spike and diabetes)
If I don’t go to money in the bank next week triple h if you are listening please bring another show to Toronto next year like idk the royal rumble or elimination chamber
2008? Best night for production? Wasn’t there an incident with the pyro hitting the crowd at the end?
My opinion
2000: Fully Loaded
2001: WrestleMania 17
2002: SummerSlam
2003: WrestleMania 19
2004: Backlash
2005: WrestleMania 21
2006: Unforgiven
2007: Backlash
2008: WrestleMania 24
2009: No Way Out
I just gotta say it because it bugs me every time you guys call it X seven. It is WrestleMania 17 because it is the 17th WrestleMania.
tbf, that's the way that the logo itself is formatted
@@pr0udb3ta420 nobody calls wm18 x eight
11:28 - I ask myself the same damn thing! WHY?
PS: Had Finlay won his match, Wreslemania 24 would have been perfect!
Backlash 2009 for me
Haven't been around here this early. What should I do?
No Fully Loaded 2000? Bruh.
I think RR 01 is better than WM17 from top to especially the ending
Am I the only one who says fully loaded 2000?
Also mania 23 was WAY better than back lash. IDK how people underestimate wrestle mania 23 so much
Yeah, WrestleMania 23 it's good, and I'm still feel upset that Batista vs Undertaker was the 4th match in the PPV
Quarter past ten for the win
11:44 and you don't have to censor it for Germany
2000s - is 2001-2010, not 2000-2009
first PPV on the list and immediately gets it wrong, The royal rumble, Fully loaded and Summerslam were all overall better PPV's than Backlash!!
Putting ons 05 over WM21🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Hello 👋🏻 jamthatjam
Vengeance 05 was robbed
What is wrong with you tempest what are you talking about I loved wwe during the ruthless aggression and the early PG Era and I loved John Cena most people call him the goat. I don’t get why y’all say it took a step back when ratings were still high as ever and y’all blame Cena when he was the solution not the problem.
Ratings we're wank with Cena on top
@@joshuahirst7218 your stupid and wrong it’s proven that ratings were actually higher when Cena was on top

Just ranking the honorables that are absolute contenders.
2000: Royal Rumble, Judgment Day, Fully Loaded, SummerSlam, Armageddon
2001: Royal Rumble, No Way Out, Backlash, SummerSlam, No Mercy
2002: Backlash, Judgment Day, No Mercy, Survivor Series
2003: Royal Rumble, No Way Out, Vengeance, Survivor Series
2004: WrestleMania XX
2005: WrestleMania 21, Vengeance, Survivor Series
2006: WrestleMania 22, ECW One Night Stand
2007: Royal Rumble, WrestleMania 23, No Mercy (just for the absurdity of 3 WWE Title matches)
2008: Royal Rumble, One Night Stand: Extreme Rules, Armageddon
2009: Backlash, Night Of Champions, TLC
I would’ve also included No Way Out 2006, Judgment Day 2005, and No Mercy 2003. But 2008 and 2001 are hard. They’re probably the best WWE years in terms of PPVs.
The attitude Era Is some of the worse wrestling ever
