At 2:08, Sonny goes to kick it over while it's in gear. I always liked this about him. He could of easily had this part omitted from the film. But his ego didn't gaf. Sometimes it's the little things about a man that speak the most. Rest easy Sonny...
Man the 70s and 80s always looked badass asf, nobody seems to wear helmets in those days, or seatbelts, everyone looked like they smoked or drank anywhere lol... looks like a fun era to be wild lol
always wondered what stretches of roads these are on, could be the santa cruz mountains, but the east bay has trails that look similar, could be around angels camp or somewhere in the sierras.
Paycheck was a real outlaw! I bet they aint a country singer alive today that can hang around and party with the HA. They was a few that did back then tho.
I never could figure why Sonny(RIP) allowed the clip at 2.11 of him trying to start his bike in gear.I cringed when I saw it 50 years ago and I cringe now.
That was Sonny kicking Sweet Cocaine over at 2:08 and hauling ass. The cover of Hell's Angel (Sonny's auto-biography )has a picture of Sonny laid back on this bike. According to the book some assholes stole it. Later scared shitless (and rightfully so) when they found out who it belonged to they cut it up and dumped in a pond or lake somewhere.
Immediately remembered "Days gone" and "The Lost MC" in Gta 5))) Ordinary criminals, murderers and antisocial elements, why romanticize them so much and why? I don't understand...
Listen to this song at least every day! Love Johnny Paycheck and love the Angels!
❤

Here’s my take. The 70’s were everything the 60’s wanted to be. We all paid for it in the 80’s.
