Captain Nice K-26 video. Well done as always. Thanks for taking the time to always provide us with super cool content. Love this series. Keep up the great work. Bangarang
Got the same numbers for sentry x2 with a home depot 11kg spring. Easier to prime as well. Nice to have other video to compare my results. Thanks CAP🤙🏼
New mic sounds great if you can figure out the battery kerfuffle with it it'd be awesome noticed the audio desync was gone later in the video as well so yay for that
Could some rattly K26 have fit inside the liberator spring? Would that even help? Also, I can't wait to see your recommendations for rival pump action!
Does the music that plays when he opens up the sentry at 3:05 remind anyone of the music from the Lego Battles video game? The moment I heard the startup of it I felt instant deja vu.
How do you feel about deleting the priming ratchet? Personally, I prime by feel, so when speed shooting, too many ratchets tends to leave me locked mid-prime. Removing the ratchet tends to make for less ambiguity when priming. As a result, I have deleted the priming ratchets from all of my blasters.
@@CaptainXavier Have you tried out the internal return spring mod on the Chaos Meteor? TaG has a video on it, and I did it myself, and its amazing. I don't know about you, but my Meteor had a pretty serious projectile drop issue that hopup adjustments wouldn't fix. Drilling out the faux vent holes flattened the trajectory right out. Only the shroud vent holes, not the inner black barrel. Add that to a ratchet delete, and it makes the Meteor almost a perfect primary. The main reason I ask about the vent holes is that I'd love if someone with the equipment could do a slow motion analysis of what actually happens to a rival style ball when fired. Is the backspin really that noticeable, and what is happening with the air that spills out behind? are there vacuum and/or turbulence effects? Do "speed holes" or barrel ports affect this?
Thanks for the information, Captain! I wouldn't be surprised if Rival-esq blasters are soon supplied with adjustable hop-ups ala Airsoft weapons - would be useful.
Next time, I've heard that clapping helps with syncing up audio in videos like this. Not sure how it works, but from what I've heard, you can clap to make a large spike on the graphed sound which you can match to the clapping motion in the video. The guys at Achievement Hunter count out up and down motions in computer menus, usually on a video game pause menu. Maybe you could do something similar by counting out loud and on fingers. As for the planned Unfair review, might I suggest getting Walcom with his spring thunder blaster as one of the "mop the floor" option.
That would only help if the audio track was separate from the video track...which it is not in my editor...because my editor is cheap...I should fix that.
MS Movie Maker. My videos are so simple that is all I have ever needed. Now that I am wanting to increase my production quality I really need to get something more powerful.
OH! I know this! I forget which but a few states because of the age these are targeted at they're technically considered sporting equipment and have to have safeties because they fire projectiles. Will you make a K26 and/or unfair comparisons video featuring the Chinese "Blaze Storm" clones? (I've seen very few such videos in English, mostly in German)

Cap if I were to send you a modulus longstrike, even though slightly modified (just the basics, at and lock removal), would you feature it in a can it take a k26 episode
@@CaptainXavier I think he's talking about knockoff blasters that are like the yellow hammershot in K26 - episode 87. So, I guess blasters that are practically clones of existing blasters but with a different shell. Zecong Toys (a chinese company) makes blasters under their Blaze Storm line that are clones of Nerf blasters, but with a different shell and worst performance. Someone posted an image of Zecong's knockoff hammershot on Reddit (r/Nerf/comments/djleal/ordered_these_two_hammerfakes_from_chinaland_will/). Also, in Walcom's new video, he showed off a knock-off of Dart Zone's Magnum Superdrum. Same 40 dart capacity and useless arm brace thing, but different color and cooler looking shell. I'm guessing he's referring to knockoff blasters like those.
Hey cap I went to a value village today and saw a hail fire, a proton and a centurion as well as a rebelle wind speed but sadly I didn’t buy anything today well but they were great finds as in the first two I said
So your tests with K26 in the Sentry x2 have conclusively confirmed what I suspected was actually the case - the spring is A problem, but it's not by any means THE problem with the Sentry's performance: I'm getting your EXACT numbers just using a stock Hypnos spring in mine, because I also cleaned out/adjusted/re-lubricated the o-ring on the front barrel section, and outright replaced the stock plunger o-ring with one originally from a Kronos. It seems the anemic 70 FPS average is mostly the result of a poor air seal.
I Teflon tape the seals as well, thinking that could be to. I got a spring from a auto store, hits better but don't know what the difference is between this spring and k26

@@captsomeguy1 It’s because the sentry x2 got a update. The old ones shoot around 70, and the newer one shoot around 100-110 out of box. The way you can identify the upgraded one from the old ones is if the line from the grip goes up diagonal to the base of the gun, the line on the old gun goes up a little and then wraps around to the back.
