I was laughing my butt off at Warner's "OH NO" slow-motion flail to the ground to really sell it. Dude has the instincts of a Grade A hockey pest.
That's not soft, that is common sense. You can't have players doing suplex all over the field. It could cause injury to the neck. Metcalf should have shoved him or pushed him to the ground with his full strength and that would have been fine. But you can see with his legs on how he was just taking his time to position himself for the suplex...like it was WWF or something. Totally a penalty. And that was also the reason why Warner had plenty of time to hand the ball. He was just looking around with all the time in the world, while metcalf was locking his legs for leverage.

He drilled Metcalf in the back of the head and pushed him to the ground, if not a shot to the head penalty then a block in the back should have been called on Warner. Metcalf penalty was not any worse then what Warner did, both should have been called if your going to call anything.

Ball was live, each play was fair. Grabing an opponents face mask is not going to sit well with the rule book.
You go up after the play is over, start grabbing a facemask with both hands, and yanking the guy around with it, you get tossed. Simple enough.
We saw Greenlaw get ejected last week for barely grazing the Eagles security guy's face, which is way less than this.
I thought Greenlaw got tossed because he body slammed the receiver to the ground, a similar play to this. The security guy should never have been in a position to join in the fracas.

In my view, the tackle was less than elegant, not particularly dirty, and honestly I'm not sure it should be illegal. If he slammed his head, maybe, but really?
At least DK slammed Warner who had the ball. It was a “legit” play. Warner pitched the ball and likely stopped resisting the tackle.
Warner went for a player sitting down from behind. It wasn’t “legit” or with purpose other than a complaint that he was tackled.

Metcalf can't see that Warner has given up the ball. It happens in his blind spot. All Metcalf knows is that Warner is still trying to get away (Metcalf thinks with the ball), so he tackles Warner. Warner attacks Metcalf after a flag, that in my opinion, should not have been thrown and the fight begins.

I wish I could say his whole career. He was with Seattle when wilson and lynch were on the team. Back then they seemed to have the Niners number
Metcalf's tackle was questionable, as was the shove by Warner. Flags offset. The face mask- that's automatic. Lenoir's shove though later in the scuffle is worth a penalty, yes, but not disqualification.
People don't realize that sometimes referees allow some retaliation. In this case, Warner was combining a retaliation move with also dropping metcalf as he can potentially be a blocker to Greenlaw. However, Metcalf got penalized for the suplex, not ejected. He only got ejected from the accumulation of EVERYTHING he did. First the Suplex, then grabbed the helmet once, and finally went back and grabbed the helmet AGAIN, not listening to the referees. It was the sum of EVERYTHING he did in that moment that got him ejected. Warner had no reason to get ejected with that push, and metcalf would have only recieved a penalty call if he had stopped after doing that suplex.

That was not a rough tackle by DK and the personal foul hands to the head by Warner happened during the play so doesn't that make the interception nullified and void and first down Seattle? Plain and simple you need to look at the HISTORY of DK Metcalf. The Seahawks don’t play well. Shocker that DK Metcalf isn’t happy. The initial slam to the ground is what it is. It’s a penalty and what appears to be frustration. Warner gives him a good shove afterwards. And then DK Metcalf grabs him with 2 hands and shoves him in the facemask with Warner’s hands outstretched. How in the hell do you think that Warner should have just let this go when all he did was give him a shove on his way out. Suspension worthy? No I’m not going to go that far. But how many times have we seen DK Metcalf pull something like this. Fines apparently don’t mean anything so maybe a suspension IS an answer to someone who can’t keep his cool (and making more money than I’ll make in a lifetime).
