@@RoyalAppleBerry and Ariane, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you both. The two of you are among the first soapers I started watching on UA-cam. Shampoo Bars have been around since the 40s. My Grandmother and my Mother used them. I must say my Grandmother and Mother have beautiful hair. Love your channel.

Ariane, I highly recommend Rustic Essentials lavender fragrance oil. This fragrance smells really good and soaps well, no discoloration and slow to trace. The scent holds thru the cure and after.
Great vid! Thanks for sharing! I saw that you had a recipe for shampoo bars on the website where your press came from. They listed a few ingredients in that recipe and SCS was on that list but you didn’t use that in this video. In your purchased recipe, do you use SCS? I’m trying to avoid that ingredient. Thank you!
I love lemon curd from Rustic Escentuals. It reminds me of the smell of these lemon sugar cookies my grandma used to make. I am wanting to try my hand at making these shampoo bars. I am currently saving for a bath bomb press, and when I reach my goal, these are among the first projects I intend to try. These shampoo bars look wonderful!
I really enjoyed watching another video using the BathBombPress in a different way than just a bath bomb. Please, I would love to see more of the versatility of this press. I have watched enough of your videos to know that, after trying a few presses, this is the one that performs well.
da lime in da coconut is one of my favorites too! thanks to your video message about the press. I got the 25% off email solicitation today and blasted them as fraudulent

Hi Ariane they look gorgeous I would’ve liked to have seen you lather 🧽 some of the leftovers just to see how much lather the shampoo bar makes. Thank you. 💐💐
Hi Ariane, was wondering when your shop would be back up online? Would love to order one of your fab shampoo bars! Love that you're Québecois, I'm in ON - Represent, Canada!!!
Your videos have been a huge inspiration for me for so long in my soap making, and I actually found you when researching solid shampoo SOAP with your brine shampoo bar video. This type with the sodium coco noodles, what's the advantage of these over a classic shampoo soap? (I've used shampoo soap for 2 years and change now since learning to make it and not sure I could go back to a surfactant) but other than the hearts are VERY cute :D what do you like that's different? I didn't hear you mention it, so sorry if this is a repeat question. Thanks for being so awesome and bringing us inspiring content!
Good morning Ariane! These look great, the press is so awesome! I have never used a solid shampoo bar. Lol ; ) I guess like other people, I have thought...what, use a "bar" for shampoo? Haha You explained it very well and the convenience it is super amazing! Great video, have a great Sunday! Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!! xoxo : )
will you be making your shampoo bard in lilac and rose scents? My husband love the smell of my hair and those are 2 of my favorite secnts. It is so hard to even find perfume in those scents. I am interested if you do make those scents.
I'm using 57% sci noodle and 23% coco betaine, but when I mix them the shampoo is too wet. I continue put cocoa butter and cetyl alcohol etc. But the shampoo is still too wet. I mean you can't press it with bath bomb press cause it sticky everywhere. I wonder if my formula is wrong? :( Am I too much add coco betaine, or should I make half of my sci noodle in powder form? Oh also, is SCI smells strong? Mine smells like strong coconut and it fragrance doesn't cover the smell at all.
I have that same fragrance from rustic escentuals and love it but it does discolor my soap. Although on their website it states no vanilla content it still turned my soap tan. Did the fo discolor on your soaps?
Hey do these need a preservative? Can you help me out, I want to try making Shampoo bars, but I sometimes see videos saying you "need" a preservative. However, sometimes I see major Shampoo bar makers not using any. Is it because of a certain ingredient?
Hello Ariane! I would like to know how many CFM do you need for making shampoo bars, I know you use 100psi, but how many CFM do you actually need for the press? Thanks!

Debbie Baker the first time you try a batch, make a small batch. Downsize your recipe. This way if the PH isn’t right, you can adjust by using lower ph ingredients if the final PH is to high and you don’t have too much ingredients loss. Everything is about testing
I’ve seen youtubers make bars of soap and call it shampoo bars but they don’t include any of these shampoo ingredients, my question is are we just washing our hair with plain soap or are the two interchangeable?
pamela gilmore this is a surfactant based shampoo bar. We can also make cold processed shampoo bars but the PH will be slightly higher and it doesn’t work well on everyone’s hair. You can read more about this on the soapguild.org
Artiefrog people are also allergic to natural ingredients. Like eggs, peanuts, lavender, etc. Since I don’t know which ingredients you are referring to, it is difficult for me to answer your question.
@@Artiefrog the only chemical used to make homemade soap is lye. After it becomes soap there is no lye left over. If you could be more descriptive as to what she is allergic to that would help.
Normal body pH is 7.35 to 7.45 however this shampoo bar have to be a every day shampoo bar because remember your scalp can go from normal to oil depends on sebaceous gland your body is also the the same, sometimes it all depends on the climate you live in or your culture and your ethnicity, making a shampoo bar at 5 on the ph scale that is at least 7 sound like a Cow-ash bar. thank you as always you always do great videos
HANDMADE COSMETICS LADY From all my research I have found that human hair usually has a ph between 4.5 and 5.5 I could be wrong, but so far the way I make my solid shampoo they aren’t a co-wash. They work very well to cleanse the hair and scalp and leave the hair feeling nice and smooth.
What are you talking about? Her ph is perfect for shampoo. Ph 7 is neutral and still too alkaline for shampoo. Skin is around 5.5 and hair around 3.75 so both slightly acidic. You're meant to wash your scalp not hair and so a 5 works. Anything higher or lower will upset the balance of the scalp. Conditioner is better to be lower because you condition the hair and not the scalp. Even regular water is too high in ph for our hair.
