  • With a rich vine and wine history dating back to 1842, the Barossa is one of the most historic wine producing regions in Australia. Today, there's a group of new and exciting winemakers who are helping to change the face of wine in the Barossa. "We’ve got a bedrock of winemaking tradition and old vines blended with a younger generation who are challenging global perceptions of Australian wine." Charlie Melton, Charles Melton Wines.

Australian wine is great. Affordable, spicy, elegant, available, creates more wine trinkers worldwide. I first started with Yellow Tail Shiraz. Now I drink better wine (Shiraz) for half the price, and its not Yellow Tail, but still australian. You can be proud. There are some really cheap wines from Germany, Italy or Chile but they are not as half as good as australian wines. 😍

      God you're a fool.
Shiraz, also known as Syrah, is a varietal originating in the Rhone Valley in Southern France. As it relates wine that was historically made in and around the Persian city of Shiraz, they were made from varietals other than Syrah. The reason why Syrah is also called Shiraz is because it was once believed to have originated from Iran, but genetic testing has revealed this not to be the case. Please don't embarrass yourself anymore.
      All the best. 👍🏼

      Wrong
DNA has proven Shiraz is a native of France. Not Iran
