It's said that when the ball is on the 18 yard line, it's inside the penalty area. Why is it not a goal when the ball is on the goal line? We are assuming an attack move in both cases. Some referee on the Doku chest kick on Macca some time back said that should that attack have taken place infield, an infringement would have been given. So, kick me within the penalty area to escape a sanction because you do anywhere else on the field, trouble is your name.
The present referring system is not fit for purpose . There has got to be an independent adjudicator overlooking the referee system that con educate and adjudicate. All work organisation’s have a trade body that controls, educates and sets standers, plumbers , electricians etc.
The line is the same line that the ball has to fully cross to be throw in , a corner , goal ,it has to be fully across the line why suddenly heard this for first time the b 7:09 all is the referees 🤔
The line is in the general playing area of the pitch. The whole ball has to cross the line in any reference to a decision s stated, reference a goal, a throw-in, a corner, a goal kick. I do have an issue with the corners nowadays, the ball being placed OUTSIDE the corner quadrant, the ball always has to be placed within the quadrant. When did that rule change? At kick-off, all players must stand behind the centre-line in their own half. I haven’t seen a rule change rule change? At kick-off, the rules state that the ball must move forward of the centre line into the opposition’s half of the pitch. The whole ball must cross the line, to be a goal! Referees are making their own rules to fit their own narrative. Do referees have to attend a refereeing awareness course event every year in order to qualify for professional status? Every other profession has to attend refresher courses and pass examinations to keep their jobs. Why not referees?
In the Sou v Liv match, you missed the shirt pull from Bradley and slide through from Kelleher on Armstrong right before Liverpool's equalizer. Even if they didn't think it's enough of a tug from Bradley, I still don't see how you don't penalize Kelleher when he clearly didn't touch the ball. Even worse that it was given as a free kick against Armstrong.
I would say that was a penalty as a liverpool fan, I thought it would be given when they went to VAR. To be fair Robertson tackle was definitely outside the box.
I am a referee here I totally disagree with his stand against the clear handball with extended arm way far from his body thus handball.
Referees don’t understand… just end the sentence there
Those lot hate Liverpool
Does this ex-referee start every single sentence with "yeah, listen..." ?

Also, Lavia isn't sent off because of double jeopardy. It's accidental contact as he's attempting to chase down the ball, so it's a yellow.
Disagree. It was handball.
Referees are like spouses. They will defend one another irrespective.
Tierney on VAR, say no more 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤬🤬

You missed lallanya definate red card
The argument was not that kelleher didn't foul it was that Armstrong had Bradley's shirt just before that so had fouled before kelleher contact
