Good stuff👍🏻, Holderness is fishing well, I was out yesterday at Cowden and it was a fish a chuck, mainly doggies, but I had 2 decent rays, the guy next to me had 5rays and hound . Also had a turbot. I would only fish it when the swell is below 2 foot tho or you won't catch nearly as much , also I believe it fishes better on a big tide, like at least 5.7m high
Aup Joe. The seas just weren't right for when I could get out. You need 3/4days after the sea calms back down for the fish to return so your timing was about spot on 👍🏼
I could, but either the list would be massive to cover all options, or I'd rely on it and miss stuff. Like some places, I don't pack waders, only boots.

Great video. I know others have stated sound issues. I’m on an iPad, like always, and the sound when you are sitting on the tacklebox is low, but at other times normal. Go figure UA-cam…

I refuse to buy crab these days prices are silly, I just have a look on the beach as I’m fishing see what I can find. As for the secretive anglers I’ve never understood to be honest, if I can advise or help someone with locations I will.
Yeah if I was closer to the sea I'd definitely be foraging for bait more. I've got a pump now and if I'm on a beach at low ill see what I can find. Usually I go pillaging low water rock marks for lost leads, but crab will be top of the list now.

I think you should have probably tried new brighton alex. It's not a bad place for flatties to be honest and they normally come when the estuary starts getting flodded in. We'll at least it was day out and you explored another venue. Tight lines m8
Always do the check list thing to and realise 5mins from the mark most times that I've forgotten something 🤦♂️ worse when uve got a long walk from the van, uve set up, ur on ur own, its getting dark and u can see ur headtorch sitting on the dashboard in ur mind 😂😂 funny now wasnt at the time... always love the content look forward to the next one
My worse one was fishing a mark in south wales. Walked out on to the mark and realised my bait elastic was in my jacket pocket, the jacket I decided I didn't need and left in the van 🤦🏻♂️ thankfully some lads nearby were kind enough to give me and old roll he kept as a spare.
Thanks Adrian. I have a go pro, and use remote mics. A couple of folk have said the audio doesn't work for them when it cuts to the beach scene, though.

@Adrian-wc7sb just adapt, depending on what you have. I could do a video on my phone, but would just be selfie style and try to shelter from the wind as much as possible. Go pro do a mic mod which is pretty good. But remote mics are the way forward for good quality.
Great little session and some very nice plaice and they taste fantastic and sweet. I am the same as you as I double check everything before I leave and even take toilet roll just in case I get caught short as I suffer with IBS. As for the peelers I know someone who collects hard back green crabs and puts them in his garage in a large tray. He covers them in sea weed and puts a heat lamp above them on a low heat which forces them to peel. He says it saves him a fortune with the price of peeler's these days. Have a great time on your hols and watch out that your toe doesn't get infected in the heat and sand. I have just one question for you, are you sneaking a fishing rod with you? If not then have a bit of a relax you deserve it but I really loved your early videos where you were fishing abroad.
Phwoar, with the price of electric I'm not sure your mates heat lamp is the cheapest solution these days either 😂 There's no need to sneak a rod anywhere, it's a given that a rod is coming with me. In fact this trip I've got 2 with me. Whether I'll get chance to use them is another question, the winds are always an issue on the canaries
We were fishing arnside one time in the early 80s, there is or was a bridge with a signal box on it with smoke coming out of the chimney, an old boy was walking past us and shouted to us"look its Stevensons Rocket going over the bridge" he must have been short sighted but deadly serious it was the vintage steam train.
I was at Mostyn two weeks ago when two guys turned up and said I was wasting my time if I didn't have crab. Luckily though the ten plaice I caught must have fancied lug tipped with squid for a change...
@@theawfulangler my view is if you can't get the bait AND it is expensive the look for alternatives. Trialling out crab cart double wrapped in a finger bandage. It is the presentation that needs work on as i think it needs whipping on.

It does mate, but that drive is also the bit that distances me from whatever I've got going on back home. If I fished the local lakes, be far too easy for me to say ill just do x then nip, or I'll pop and do y and go tomorrow instead...and we all know tomorrow never comes. What is it with UA-cam fishing channels.. I'm not here because I'm interested in what equipment you're using I'm here simply for your style fishing or what fish are catching and what locations you're going to I'm not interested in designer gear. I've seen people catch big fish on the worst fishing equipment possible so I'm not interested in your style of rods or how much they cost.. absolutely big fan of the channel been subscribed for a little while.. but again I'm here for the locations for the fish not for the bragging rights of what rods and reels are using
You are entitled to your opinion but many people do want to know what rods, reels, line and the set up he's using. Like you say other UA-camrs are also doing it and in all fairness he has to cater for others who watch his channel. It doesn't interest me too much either but he does review them and if they are crap he gives his honest opinion. You could always fast forward over the bits that don't interest you buddy. In my honest opinion I've not seen him brag about any rods but maybe it just comes across like that to you and again you are entitled to your opinion. If we were all the same then the world would be a boring place. He's a genuine fella and the only bragging I've seen him do is about his son Jack and rightly so. I hope this message doesn't come across as me having a go at you as it wasn't my intention at all. Like I say he has got to cater for everyone who watches and I don't think he wants it to come across as bragging but we will see if he comments on your message.
Hi Shaun, sorry if it comes across as bragging mate, that's not my intention at all. I get a number of messages asking what rods reels etc I'm using, why I choose certain rods for certain places, that kind of thing. So now I always talk through the setup at the start of the video.
