- Part 3 of a three video series compiling the different offensive sets Duke ran in the 2014 men's lacrosse national championship game against Notre Dame. This one is a compilation of the times they ran their version of the pairs offense with a right-handed 2-man game featuring Jordan Wolf and Myles Jones and a left-handed one with Deemer Class and Christian Walsh.

Love how at 7:47 the ball accidentally comes out mid shot releasee but he makes the adjustment and stays committed to scoring!
I love the angle of this video, you can see everything happening, thanks!

thanks for the good vids keep them coming man
Such a strange offense. What are your thoughts on combating this by putting four poles up top to try to flush the ball behind the net?
+Mainely Mesh It's essentially a box-field hybrid offense. The strange part is that they're running it without any Canadians on their roster. Probably no need to put 4 poles up top. Some teams used to double pole the midfield to get poles on Jones and Class by short sticking Matheis and from what I recall whenever teams would do that, Duke would always go to a Wolf-Matheis 2-man game behind.
Makes sense. It will be interesting to see whether they try this offense again this year, as I feel like it would be much more susceptible to a double pole up top scenario. (I just really want to see Jones invert but that's the attackman in me haha)
+Mainely Mesh I don't think they will. It really only makes sense with the set of personnel that they had in 2014 where their top 6 guys were 3 righties and 3 lefties. We didn't really see it last year even though they had 3 lefties they could have run it with in Class, Keenan and Guterding. Now they only have 2 lefties in their starting 6.
0:50 Jones on Perkovic hahaha
