The pecan waffles are a must at the Waffle House. It was Anthony Bourdain's go to. Grits are fantastic too. you either love em or hate em. Southerners take pride in their grits. i usually get the cheesy grits there.
I don't know about go to, since he had never been to a waffle house until Sean Brock (chef at Husk) took him there while in Charleston. My personal favorite is the blueberry
A big HECK YES for Waffle House. Thanks for sharing this to the world. Sit at the counter and watch the cooks working the flat top, usually a show and a meal for one price.
Wow waffles and biscuits and gravy are looking delicious. You guys going to miss farang breakfasts? I tried Somtum for the first time the other day. Added many chopped green chilies and I was crying but it was so tasty I kept eating 😋
3 fried eggs (over medium) with thick grits on top, with real butter, salt and pepper. Side order of SOS (Sh*t on a shingle) biscuits and gravy, heavy on the pepper. Go Navy. Breakfast and Midrats. Love those waffles.... but I'd be 500 pounds in a month. Everyone else is getting heavy (fat) just looking at this video.
Pecan waffles are my favorite. Special breed of cook at the waffle House it's a lost art having the waitresses yell out the orders to you like the old days before computers. So satisfying to watch as an old timing kitchen person.
My German hubby loves himself some Waffle House but I can't convince him on the grits😆😀 Not even Charleston SC low country shrimp and grits what a shame.
@@teribendt94 That is a shame I am not a big seafood person but Charleston shrimp and grits with that cream sauce is delicious. I am a Northerner so when grits are just plain like at waffle house I put sugar on them. Reminds me of oatmeal. I have a Charleston SC video you can check out on my channel.
@@FOCUSonASIA13 ,Thank you for the tip about your SC video,You did such a fantastic job capturing the beauty of the low country. My ex husband and family are from Pennsylvania and New Jersey and I appreciate Pork Roll and grits but not so much Scrapple.I love the bread here in Germany but I sure do miss my buttermilk biscuits, bagels and knishes.I will have to watch your videos on the Philippines I worked with a very good friend from there.🙂
I discovered the Waffle House when I moved to Arkansas. If anyone in Thailand wants to know what a real American breakfast looks like just go to the Waffle House and you will see a true American breakfast. I could watch that cook work all day long. It amazes me how they can throw things around and presto you have a plate full of food.
Waffle House - is a great company. It is one of the FIRST places to reopen after a disaster (hurricane, tornado, etc.) -- FEMA has a WH index to determine just how bad was the impact. (TRUE story - informal index) --- Because of its level of preparedness, Waffle House is able to provide a place for residents to charge their phones and provide food to first responders in the aftermath of a storm. Waffle House supports its locations by monitoring storms at the Waffle House Storm Center.
ive been to the US 5 times and travelled all over my brother lives in Atlanta, any took my kids over there when they were younger we went to Waffle house, yes they liked it next day we went to iHOP, then every night it was dad, can we go to iHop in the morning, they are crazy for it,
I've only been to 1 Waffle House and it was so filthy I will never go into another. And that is after being in the Army for 6 years eating C-rations covered in muck. I've eating mystery food from back alley stalls all over the world and Waffle House was the worst. 555
I've learnt that the USA is full of massive highways, big wallmart type shopping and gas stations and souless fast food restaurants. Kinda sad not to see small business thriving anymore.
Should also learn that there's a lot more to see other than what shown on UA-cam especially in my short little trip to texas. Most of the fast food restaurants here are franchise owned by small businessmen.
@@eric1weecw001 Ive been to America 6 times and done a 15 city road trip from south along the west coast up to canada back down the east coast. I know my way around the country. Us Brits find the wiener sausages in Thailand as offensive as you do. We're very picky with our breakfast sausages. Main thing being they should actually be damn sausages 😂
It's an acquired taste. I like them thick, no clumps, with 3 fried eggs, butter, salt and pepper. The Awful House. My friend was banned from one where he lives in Virginia. Did you apply for a Waffle House credit card while you were there? Ha ha ha.
Love the rapport with this group!
Hi Chuck and Paige wow food looked amazing making me so hungry.

There's another kilo right there! Alan
I'm definitely keeping track of the weight gain on the calorie counter for the weight check back in Thailand. Might be 1.5 kilo.

what airlines you guys use out of Houston. Im thinking about making a trip to Thialand
We like Eva. But we are using AnA on this trip.

Singapore Airlines out of Bush is the best. Number one airline in the world for a reason. You can easily get a round trip to Bangkok for around $800.
smothered covered and chunked hash browns and cheese grits you missed out in my opinion lol
Why did you hide the prices?
We don't have Waffle House in New Jersey 😕.

What’s “grits”? Doesn’t look gritty at all. Looks like a place in a movie
