i have been watching your videos since 2021, and today just wanted to try my hand at Moo Dat Deaw at home here in Bombay, so surprised you tube picked up this old video where you guys have made it too. This is my all time favorite dish ( also literally the 1st dish i ate on my 1st trip to Thailand ).

Next time buy a bone in ribeye roast and cut your own steaks Chuck, unless you don' know how. Kobe beef cattle are much smaller than Angus or Longhorn and are fed beer and massaged when feed lot finishing which helps distribute the fat and creates that heavy marbling. Most high end steak houses, including in Texas, don't add all that seasoning, only salt. Sometimes they will sprinkle some type of seasoning salt just before they pull it off the grill. The idea is to taste the beef, not all the seasoning, If you like all that seasoning, fine, but it's not how most Texas steakhouses do it, unless you're talking about the medium quality chain places. Quality steakhouses usually dry age their beef, and then trim them before cooking. If you want medium well to well done, you should sous vide them and then finish them on your grill, they will be much more tender.

Wow……I really miss Thailand and Cambodia. Stuck here in Canada for now. 72 years old with a quadruple bypass. But they tell me I’m health enough again to travel anywhere I want. Coming back soon to Cambodia and Thailand. And stay and live there for my last years.
