I really appreciate your videos. It is nice to have an explanation for my symptoms. I am on day 16. I went for a short walk yesterday and in the evening I had severe pain in my back and extreme fatigue. It came on suddenly. Today I went on a bike ride and tonight I am experiencing fatigue and back pain. I have also experienced night sweats. I wake in the middle of the night hot. Then l can’t fall asleep. I have experienced those headaches you were talking about. I would get random shooting pain. Now they are gone thank goodness. Coughing seems to get worse when I am feeling stress in my body.

I just went through Omicron and am 4 days behind you in the timeline. After discussing everything with my GP he let me know a few interesting things - When you feel better and then worse it's basically you having almost gotten rid of the infection in your throat and the virus attempting to relocate to your upper sinus and bronchia as a last stand. So our immune system drops a gear to fight the virus again. The cough we speculated as a result of ARDS (we are dealing with SARS-CoV-2 after all) where we get more blood in alveoli than usual as a part of our immune response which allows for more fluid to remain in our lungs that we usually clear out. Whether this is linked to mild/unnoticeable Myocarditis or not is undetermined but possible. Now if you have co-morbidities such as being obese or asthmatic you are at a very high risk of pneumonia and secondary infection here. But most healthy people's body's will just spend a few days with a mild cough and a wheeze moving the excess fluid out. But this could be the main reason for the cardio loss, my GP and I expect it to bounce back quicker than when I had double pneumonia 19 months ago. For me it was a month until I was running reasonably and another month until I was at full speed. I'm expecting to be back at full speed within the month.

General recommendation from the world of long covid and now your experience: "lay low."
Being athletic is a _very_ common feature in the long covid communities I have visited. (I have not been infected.) Whether cause or effect or just a correlation, nobody knows... but there it is. I never conversed with many marathoners, or half marathon trained people, as I did there. Anyway, for everybody coming out of COVID-19 ramp up slowly afterward lest it cost you a lot of progress. You are not out of reach of the devil yet; ease into it.
I don't know what your odds are if you don't overdo it but if you get too aggressive I would bet they will be worse - and I don't bet except on sure things.

Glad you are recovering. I got it jan 1st and had 2 days of fatigue and sinus headache (with jaw ache), then 2 days mild sore throat. day 4 I was a bit dizzy but think it was lack of electrolytes due to night sweats. The rest of the time, I just felt a bit less energetic than normal and slept 20 mins mid day for a few days to give things time to heal . I tested again on day 11 and was still pos but it was really faint on the test after about 10 mins as opposed to bold and instant on the test done on the 1st. I am walking for an hour a day to build stamina back up now. Im unvaxxed , female and middle aged.

Im glad you are almost back to your normal self. Well I have commented on my experience with covid to you before but I have a couple questions. Do you have or had during recovery increased pulse and elevated blood pressure? Did you lose weight? Did you feel a burning sensation on your lungs inhaling? I had and still have after over 1 year some of those symptoms. (Had original covid no vaccines at the time) I salute to all covid survivors out there!

Mine is a very similar experience to yours. Onset of symptoms the day before you. Currently back to normal for daily activities (walking at the park feels good again!) except hard exercise…I fatigue easily, so I’m making a conscious effort to ease into exercise very gradually. I continue to feel “pressure” (not a full headache) in my head and occasional runny nose, so almost, but not quite normal.

Thanks for sharing. It's helpful to hear another persons experience with Omicrom. I had similar experience in Dec/Jan. Tested neg twice with Rapid, 3rd PCR test came back positive. Most of my symptoms were gone around 2 weeks in, then ENT congestion came back. I'm 4 weeks in and some days/nights are great, some not so much. All vitals have remained good, chest X-ray normal. But just moments where anxiety and short breath kick in. Moments when mild ENT congestion kick up. I too have tried to get back to cardio and working out, but not ready. Focusing on nutrition, rest, stress management, recovery. Wish you well in your recovery!

Why do people keep getting tested? Lol. 😂the inventor of the PCR test (Kerry Mullis) said it was not to be used to diagnose viruses. We should listen to him and stop all of this testing. Stay home, rest, drink fluids take some ivermectin etc. mucinex is great for the ENT symptoms. We took it 2x a day starting on day 1 and we were over all of it in 10 days. Also took hydroxycloroquine

Quite similar symptoms to my own. I also felt as though I was done with it when an annoying cough appeared. Nothing scary or debilitating, just annoying. I am on the 3rd day of the cough and feel really good outside of that. Compared to bouts with the flu over the years, this has been quite mild. The worst part of it was 2 days of chills and body aches.

Thanks for the update good you are feeling better. Very similar for me. Age 63 living northern England with one vax in March and taking high strength Vit D, Zinc and NAC. I was tested with positive LF and PCR early December had symptoms similar to you with some loss of taste also. Unusual for me I had very limited sore throat followed by tight chesty, tickly cough affecting sleep. Most symptoms gone after 12 days and feeling OK until mid Jan when chesty cough and heavy sinus affects returned. Its still lingering at the moment. Probably one of the most persistent colds I've had for 10 years

My reaction were almost identical and we tested positive on the same day! Triple vaccinated and symptoms were mild overall but did start to clear and then resurface with extreme nasal congestion and slight taste loss. My GP prescribed a Medrol pack on my request… being a nurse sometimes works in my favor! Returned to work on 1/10 and still had some fatigue towards the end of my shift as well as a sore neck/headache. Thankfully, this week has been much better-let’s hope this is it for us!

I have had almost no symptoms (age almost 73; Moderna vaccinations and booster) and would not have known I had covid if my daughter (with whom I traveled out of state) hadn't gotten it. Like you, I had a negative rapid test one day and a positive PCR the next, even with no symptoms. However, I do have very, very mild symptoms: congestion up in my head, tickle in my chest and a sense of increased congestion there. I will have a day when I feel great, I am quite physically active, and then these symptoms increase. Rest more and they decrease. So your video is very helpful to me. Thank you!

My resting heart rate has increased since my recovery, and I am now beginning to get back to my 35-40+ miles of walking per week. Cardio definitely took a hit while quarantining in the basement, watching TV ... I guess that is not too surprising when one goes from doing 35-40 miles per week to 4 total the next week.

Sounds like a good plan. Jumping back in makes my hair stand on end, easing back in over a week or two would make more sense. The "long tail" of COVID has a wicked stinger that can lay people low for a very long time. Some people who were infected in early 2020 are still not recovered, and athletes are remarkably common in long covid communities.

I’ve been looking for something like this. Thank you for posting. Vaxed and boosted. Started with sore throat and cold symptoms which lasted about 6 days. Now at day 16 and it’s sitting in my chest. At night I get a slightly sore throat, runny nose and have a dry cough. Problem is that I can’t really exercise as I don’t feel well if I do and my chest hurts after. It’s frustrating as exercise is my hobby and my stress relief. Very similar and I got COVID on Jan 4th also so the timeline is almost the same. The wax and wan of symptoms in your timeline match with mine also. I did not have very bad headaches though. I did have a later onset but very productive cough where there was a lot coming up, I also had the fevers and night sweats, those were pretty bad. I feel pretty good now although I still feel a bit fatigued. I am doing light cardio, not pushing myself, using light weights at home. I will recovery my fitness when I am feeling 100. With my longtime (40 years) post-viral fatigue syndrome experience (ME/CFS), I beg you, please do not exercise or push yourself in any way at all. This is how ME/CFS develops, with its common PEM, Post-Exertional Malaise, which it looks like you are experiencing. Resuming a walking or jogging routine is not the way back to health.
I will go so far as to say that the Omicron variant seems to set up a pattern similar to ME/CFS, which is a devastating condition. Check out Whitney Defoe's story.
Please, do not jog, walk for exercise, or go to the gym.

This is my exact same situation. Triple vaccinated here. My symptoms were exactly like yours, and funny enough same dates, too. Better some days, worse some days. The congestion was terrible in the morning. I tested positive on rapid test for 11 days. I’m now almost back to normal but strangely, I started getting panic attacks which never happened to me before. It happened after I attempted to play tennis again. Heart was at 164bpm and I started having a panic attack for some reason. Going to visit a cardio next week to make sure nothing is wrong with my heart.

Elevated bpm has bn a sar-cov symptom since the start; I would still get it chked to be safe. Get well soon ~✌️💕☺️

I think I had Covid in March 2020. It was a mild flulike illness. I was definitely exposed. I went from fit to wrecked - some days just getting up and dressed left me sucking for air. I had a full workup - lungs and heart looked fine, but every time I got on the treadmill, the technician stopped the test within two minutes. My medical team decided I had long-term post-viral fatigue.
Roll on 2021. First vaccination - a week later I was feeling pretty damned good. Second shot and I was bouncing about, back to long uphill walks and doing strength training with an x-band. 6 months later, I started Emgality shots for chronic migraine. The headaches were brought under very good control but I gained 5 lb in the first week after the first shot, 5 lb within a week of the third shot. The third shot set off a horrible allergic reaction, and back came the fatigue and general malaise. Got the booster shot and started improving again.
Three weeks ago I got a mild flulike illness! Headaches, body aches, runny nose, sore throat, overwhelming exhaustion. One day of low fever on the third day. Next morning, all symptoms gone - but I'm again struggling to get enough air if I walk and talk, go up the stairs, or move too fast. Negative raid test but the wait was so long it took 10 days to get it done.
I don't know if these incidents are due to Covid. Circumstantial evidence suggests it was.

So…I’ve watched and very much enjoyed your videos for months. I watched your video when you got COVID and felt so bad for you! I’m a Pediatric RN in the States. Well…I woke up this past Saturday and thought oh God, oh God…crap. I felt AWFUL. Not like “Oh this may be COVID but, oh this will be test #7 and it’s not a lucky one 😩”. Super sore throat, cough, achy, fever to 101.5, chills, congestion, headache a little…I made an Urgent Care appointment and ordered Rapids on Amazon. So here’s the funny thing. I work at a Hospital based Clinic and we are doing Employeee testing so of course this would happen on a weekend. I felt worse as the day went on. Went to UC and got swabbed, the NP gave me all the things and was super nice. I was wheezing too because I am asthmatic and while I admitted to not using my albuterol because it makes me shaky, she sent in Levoalbuterol for me as well as a Z Pack if I felt I was getting Pneumonia and Prednisone which I equally hate because I’m an odd adult who gets croup from viral infections and has gone to the ED for stridor. While awaiting my PCR result my rapids came and I took one and as some of the liquid crossed the test line it lit up bright and clear. So…yep, PCR of course came back positive. I almost think I have the Omicron 2.0 with how hard and fast my symptoms came on. I maybe had a sore throat some of Friday that I could attribute to allergies. And maybe a little headachy before that but I get them anyway. I am down and out. Out of work. Can’t leave my bed barely…I am not a wimp 😕 Triple vaxxed too. Not fun but looking forward to some good immunity now!

Last Friday I started having symptoms (dry cough, congestion, runny nose, fatigue, moderate body aches (this was my most significant symptom), dizziness and mild headaches. I have taken 2 rapid and 2 PRC tests and all have been negative. I have had a pretty mild case (except for body aches and fatigue). I'm a long covid sufferer from Oct 2020. Unvaccinated but use IVM and hydroxy. Also hydrogen peroxide gargle, swish and spit. I'm wondering if these therapies are keeping my viral load down enough to continue giving me negative PCR tests. I was PCR tested on day 4 and 6 of symptoms. My doctor says they were more than likely false neg since I had close exposure and symptomatic (80% accuracy). I'm hoping these body aches do not linger. Evenings are pretty uncomfortable. Your updates have helped me so much. It is hard feeling like I do with a negative test and not knowing for sure if I had it or just imaging my symptoms lol. It's a question of speed and degree of recovery possible, and only time will tell that. I find it annoying we're two years into a pandemic and we have so few early infection treatments and all seem out of stock at moment. The vaccines against the first variant have sadly turned out to be a Maginot line defense and CDC and WHO utterly failed to have any backup retreat defenses on hand. Seems by time the new recently approved antivirals and Omicron specific vaccine are available we'll be well past the peak of this. Interesting video on symptoms. I’m vaxxed and boosted but still got the Omicron. Similar to your symptoms. But I’ve never really felt that fatigued. Mostly headaches, and I’m the same, I rarely get headaches. Sore throat, sinus felt stuffy, mild cough. No fever, but I did have night sweats. And what is weird, is I’d start feeling better, then the next day it’s back. I’m on day ten since I got sick, feel like I do after a bad bout of the flu. I haven’t tried to do a run or bike ride, mainly because it’s snowing and cold outside. But I’ll try and get in a snow hike next couple of days to see how my lungs do. Still, for an old 61 year old, this stuff isn’t that bad.

first thing that hit me was waking up to a headache, which I get sinus headaches normally....treated it like I always do and it was gone within 2 hrs....most of my symptoms were mild...fever below 100f cough and sniffles, aches....by day 3 I felt better and fever disappeared, however day 6 or 7 slight fever came back and so did the cough...no sore throat , didnt lose taste or smell.... cough and sniffles would come and go for the next few days....
during this time it got really cold outside and the cold air triggered my cough, it definitely had an effect on my lungs as I would feel slightly winded so I covered my face to avoid breathing it in. I am 3 weeks out from first symptoms , still have some slight drainage which will trigger a cough and the cold air will make me feel winded if I am doing something physical outside ....I have been sleeping more than 8hrs per day, taking 5000iu d3+ mk7 - multivitamin- zinc - 1000mg vit c- non vaxxed- non smoker - lost about 10lbs due to eating broth during sickness ...I am giving it another month before I start working out again

Anyone try the synergistic combination of 40mg diphenhydramine and 400mg lactoferrin, as published from in vitro studies out of U of Southern Fl, last month? Apparently, the combination, when taken together exhibited over 95% efficacy in neutralizing vital replication. Granted, this is in lab, but a potentially promising area for the creation of a trial study (which is unlikely any time soon.) Just curious as I am holding that in my back pocket as an Alamo option on top of daily D, C, NAC, zinc supplements.

I had my first symptoms on Saturday- I felt very cold, had a fever of 37.4 and felt week also having a mild headache and back ache. Sunday the fever got a bit worse but paralen worked and got the fever down. Since yesterday I feel perfectly fine, no fever or aches. Do you think it can still get worse or was that it? Very similar timeline, I am on currently day 10. I felt good this morning, but I still test positive on the home antigen test.
Symptoms started April 6 with chills, RED EYES, and sore throat, ---> low energy and weak, sharp headaches days 2-4, productive voluntary cough. ----> felt a lot better on day 6 and started light exercise, ----> felt ok but tired on days 7-9, slight fever every now and then ---> degraded to lots of sleep and exhaustion on the afternoon of day 10.
The order of my symptoms has been:
-- very red eyes, different than allergy eyes (day 1)
-- chills (likely fever but did not measure it)
    -- sore throat
    -- fever [99.1 -- 100.1]
-- joint pain, especially in previously (old) knee injury
    -- upper back pain
    -- slight dirreaha
    -- fever returns [99.5]
-- productive upper respiratory voluntary cough/clearing junk from sinuses and throat
-- energy loss, feeling weak (day 10)
I can feel I lost a lot of strength and cardio, although I felt like exercising yesterday I did not. I have not had an involuntary cough yet. Taking Mucinex each day, 5000 IU of vitamin D, and ~ 100 oz of fluids per day: lemon water, hot tea, and kombucha. Vaccinated and boosted (10/12/21) with Pfizer.

January 3 and 4tchy throat (not sore) : thought maybe a cold.
Jan 5: nose stuffy and drippy and headaches . Binaxnow negative but isolated anyway. I DO get migraines bur these were NOT migraines. In fact much less intense: just a faint headache that I could ignore and hung around for a few days. Then Jan 7: suddenly ran a 100.5 fever all day and fatigued: felt flu like tired. Binax positive. Took PCR. Found out later it was also positive.
Jan 8 to 14; stuffy nose, not so runny, not so much fatigue after fever resolved on Jan 8 to 99 degree and Jan 9 normal temp. intermittent hacking cough with a little mucus but not much. Binax still positive but fainter red
Week Jan 15 to 22: cough diminished bur still there. Nose less stuffy. A little tired occasionally. On Jan 18ty Binax negative. I was not wanting to use up kits so might have turned days earlier
Jan 22 to today (27th): occasional faint irritation based cough . Onve in a while feeling of tiredness but this may simply be stress or emotional tiredness because started working out to 15 minute exercise videos again: no stamina issues. I do get frequent post viral coughs after any resp. virus si not surprising cough still with me.
I think I am continuing to recover and will get better and better over next few weeks I am 63 and in moderate shape .

For me the worst symptom was fever and persisted from Saturday through yesterday. Thankfully it never cracked 99.6, however it was odd in that it seemed to be on a 2 or 3 hour cycle between that peak and 98.6. Even when I had H1N1 that started out with a 103.5 fever, the fever only lasted three days and for normal colds it's usually a day or two at most.
Other symptoms include runny nose and sneezing on the first day, sinus congestion the first two days, fatigue that varied throughout the day from day 3 on and the last couple of days minor lower GI.
Today is day 8 and I feel normal, but we shall see what late afternoon brings. That's when it usually sneaks back in after a reasonable good day.

      @@stephen918 Funny you should ask...
I felt a little bit of chest congestion late on Day 8 so as a precaution I made an appointment for the next day. By the time of the appointment the congestion cleared up and they did a RAT & PRC swab. Both came back negative.
Three days later I came down with similar symptoms, made another appointment and this time tested positive. They also swabbed for flu and that came back negative.
Most like the first time was flu but they didn't swab for that and I'm betting I picked up COVID the first time I went in.
Anyway it was very similar except one night fever hit 101.1 and I had a really bad headache. I also had a few nights of chills.
The first time I was tested was 1/22 and that was negative on both RAT & PCR. Symptoms started on 1/25 and the second time when I tested positive was 1/27. Symptoms ended on 2/4 and I did two home RATs on 2/5 (positive) and 2/6 (negative).
So a little worse than your average cold but not close to a nasty case of flu. I'd say mild flu because that's what I probably had the first go-around.
I'm a healthy 62 with no known comorbidities and unvaccinated. I do maintain a good diet and have been supplementing with D3 + K2, Zinc + Quercetin, NAC and C from the beginning.

Hi Hannibal, you might want to obtain an RX for ciclesonide ICS (aka: Alvesco) being that your at high occupational risk of exposure. Ciclesonide showed an 82% risk reduction in ER visit or hospitalization when taken as outpatient. It's in a peer reviewed paper in JAMA. Those efficacy #'s are in the realm of the famed Paxlovid and Sotrovimab which are almost impossible to obtain for mere mortals. They played some games with the endpoints in the RCT. The original Primary EP was progression to ER or hospitalization but mid trial they switch the original Primary EP to Secondary and made the new Primary EP Full resolution of all symptoms by 30 days. Then they reported the trial as a failure since it didn't meet the primary end point. I feel the COI section explains why the switch was made. Nevertheless, the reduction in hospitalization is very impressive for an easy to administer, widely available, repurposable therapeutic with a well known safety profile. There is another P2 RCT that showed impressive results published in MDPI. Ciclesonide also showed potent antiviral activity in vitro against SARS-CoV-2 which supports an additional MOA beyond the typical ICS immune modulation.
