So we're downrange in 2010 when a VBIED hits the Samoan's platoon (no casualties for us thank god), purposely omitting his name btw. They find the head of the bad guy and apparently this Samoan guy starts cutting the ear off the head for some kind of war trophy....when the first sergeant sees it and screams at him to stop...can you imagine what CNN would do with that footage? Epilogue...that was the Samoan staff Sergeant's SIXTH combat tour of duty.

I served with a few samoan guys. A small one is like 230+ pounds they are naturally very large people. Some big Frickin Joes thats for sure! I wouldn't bet my lunch money arm wrestling one. Not even the women their big too. You want them as friends NOT Enemies!
I taught in American Samoa and I had 6th grade girls bigger than me and I am not a small person. Every day started out with a beautiful hymn. There voices are amazing.
If you want to see what a strong unity of community of culture/people..Pacific/Polynesians are a great example of that..they ride hard for whoever in their group, and are natural protectors..they have that warrior courage & strength thru God's spirit..
It's called 'espirit de corps' and unit cohesion. Give me a totally cohesive unit of National Guardsman or Reservists that have lived, played, trained and worked with each other for years, and I'll put my money on them any day of the week rather than a fancy bunch of SEALs or SOCOM types to get the job done.
+ I love the "aroo" thing at the end. Especially the lase one which was slightly different from the rest. It had more of a space in the middle of it. More like a "aaa-ooo"
I'm a DAT (Dumb Ass Tanker) & proud of it, give me my last crew on my M60A3 TTS & we could take out half a company of M1 Abrams! But alas I'm old & broke down. I never noticed the poor Snuffy that couldn't stay in step, Tankers just cant' march. As for Samoan Warrior Ethos, I never noticed it SSG Kiliona, nice guy but when I was his gunner, well he was awful hard headed, & would NOT listen to anyone. Hell of a Guy, when we were off the Tanks. He died in a auto accident in late '83, miss ya Buddy. . .
I was getting a little confused as the Sāmoa I know is a former British Commonwealth country (well, two islands) and the British Army recruit from there. But today, I learned there are two “Samoa’s”.

I VISIT THIS VIDEO NOW &THEN & HEARING MY PEOPLE'S CALL STILL FUELS THE FLAME BURNING IN MY HEART. LOVE YOU SAMOA 🇼🇸. ALWAYS.
Don’t forget 🇦🇸 broski
@@neuelituiolemotu-oi6fpfaimai a Upolu o ga o lakou Samoa 😂
The real true Toa of Samoa. Keep up the good work!!!!
This is breathtaking
Proud to be a samoan. Thank you for your service soldiers.👍
The powerful voices of the the south Pacific.
They say the 100th BAT of Samoa once showed up to a firefight and killed all the enemies without pulling the trigger
Always that one Samoan who “CHEEHOOOS”😂😂🇼🇸 MALO LAVA🙌🏽
Samoan woman: id like you to meet my brothers
If i was on the enemy side while i hear 1:44 - 1:50 gradually getting closer + the sound of their boots hitting the ground in full march, id shit myself...they already won mentally💯
Salapu Taavao Same 😂💯
Still gives me goosebumps!
The spirit of the true Samoan usos, unbreakable. Respect to you all.
God bless you and God bless our homeland, Samoa
Love the samoan brigade. Some tough ass troopers.
You have reached the hand to hand sector of the us army
Samoans are very loyal! Love them and they’ll die for you 💯
That looks a lot like Camp Roberts between San Luis Obispo and Salinas, California. Beautiful place, beautiful music.
now, that was proper. thanks for sharing!
Sooooo proud to be a Samoan i have tears in my eyes just watching and listening to all this.may God carry you all under his protection keep you and give courage and strength.

Amen. My dad served in the military also. And he is also a Seiuli.
As a tongan, I have much respect for our somoan neighbors 🇹🇴🇼🇸
Imagine being the enemy and hearing that coming toward you
bobby owens that my friend is the moment when you should start shitting bricks😂😂😂😂
Bruh 😂😂😂 then u see everyone try to mumble the words just to stay alive
Nah... I'd call their mommas 😂😂.. thank you all for your services USOS🙌🙌..FAATASI PEA PE ATUA A OTOU...though this was ages ago..lol
bobby owens thats when the bad guys turn conjuring**👻👻👻😂😂
bobby owens that's when they start shooting an yelling "shut up" lol
It's called 'espirit de corps' and unit cohesion. Give me a totally cohesive unit of National Guardsman or Reservists that have lived, played, trained and worked with each other for years, and I'll put my money on them any day of the week rather than a fancy bunch of SEALs or SOCOM types to get the job done.
+ I love the "aroo" thing at the end. Especially the lase one which was slightly different from the rest. It had more of a space in the middle of it. More like a "aaa-ooo"
This makes me proud to be half Samoan. Maybe I could transfer out to their unit lol
As a Samoan, you can usually hear us before you see us 😂 this is amazing! That faaumu is tooo much 🔥 love it! 💯
Samoa forever!!💙🔒
I'm a DAT (Dumb Ass Tanker) & proud of it, give me my last crew on my M60A3 TTS & we could take out half a company of M1 Abrams! But alas I'm old & broke down. I never noticed the poor Snuffy that couldn't stay in step, Tankers just cant' march. As for Samoan Warrior Ethos, I never noticed it SSG Kiliona, nice guy but when I was his gunner, well he was awful hard headed, & would NOT listen to anyone. Hell of a Guy, when we were off the Tanks. He died in a auto accident in late '83, miss ya Buddy. . .
grumpy old fart give me an M60A1 and I'll manually range and get off a round in 7 seconds...lol Life of a tanker.
Would not want to be the enemy and hear and see this coming down the road,,,,great job
Thank you. More, please. There is just something about hearing male & female voices singing
to the rhythm of cadence.
Leonidas - you see old friend i brought more soldiers than you did
Traditions must stand the test of time!!!
Sole...seki a...this is how we marched into battles back in the days...awesome stuff boys
Id love to find the song.. to download it on here (UA-cam) as it is really good to listen too..
So are all those boys Samoan? I didnt know we had entire units of em.
Fred Jackson 2 reserve companies based in American Samoa

I was getting a little confused as the Sāmoa I know is a former British Commonwealth country (well, two islands) and the British Army recruit from there. But today, I learned there are two “Samoa’s”.
1. (W) Samoa - Samoa
2. (E) Samoa - Am. Samoa
There are two governments but always one Samoa in heart, tradition, language and culture. We always say we are one people.
It sends shivers down my back
