Rosa, you have a real gift for teaching, have you ever thought about teaching sewing? I absolutely loved this so much, it was super clear and easy to follow, your explanation on why you did certain things along the way was fantastic. Thanks very much, I really appreciated your efforts. And yes, I am buying that Sew Over It book and doing the hack. ;)
Thanks so much for your lovely comment Lynette. It would be my absolute dream to teach sewing to other women as I find it so empowering and really just such a joy. Good luck with the hack! Please share your results with me as I'd LOVE to see :)
Rosa.. excellent tutorial. I have never made a skirt like this, or put pockets in anything before. When you began sewing the second pocket piece i was a little confussed, until you sewed the front and back skirt pieces together and then i had a EUREKA moment... genius!!!! xxxx
This is such a great tutorial! I'm actually making a standard Erin this weekend for the first time & after I've got my confidence with the pattern I definitely want to try your pinafore version. Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into your tutorials, they are always so clear & I come away feeling "I can do this".
Great tutorial Rosa and super cute😍. I may have to try the Erin skirt first in a denim fabric as I love that look and may be try the pinafore after. Your tutorials are always great so looking forward to seeing more 👍😁😘
Thank you so much Rosa for this fabulous tutorial! Your explanations are always so clear and helpful. I don’t really suit a fitted skirt but i’ll definitely be trying this with a pleated or gathered midi length skirt. Can I ask where you get your interfacing? The stuff I have bought is really not good and peels off as soon as I’ve steamed in on. Xxx
Hi there! Thanks so much; I'm so glad you found the video helpful. I buy my interfacing from Fabric Land usually and the brand is Vilene. I buy it off the roll for about £2 per meter.
Love your tutorials fantastic
Thanks so much! :)

Like it! I have been doing pinafore hacks out of men's shirts, using bottom as skirt, back cut from upper back and yoke and straps from sleeves :)
