  • Setting up the .22 LR Tippmann M4-22 to resemble a service rifle by installing a floating handguard tube and a fixed A2 stock. I had been shooting it with a "tube" handguard and a Magpul PRS Lite stock.
    Since I wasn't able to use the Milazzo-Krieger trigger, I refitted the ALG Defense ACT with a set of yellow JP Enterprises reduced weight springs.

      Thanks, Kurtis. The indoor position shooting is a lot of fun. In previous years before the Tippmann, I usually shot my Ruger K77/22-VBZ with a Leupold Rimfire scope.

      Have you run one in a Tippmann M4-22? So far, none of my match triggers have been compatible. Tippmann recommends the Elftmann Drop-In.

      @@WilliamCChapin mine is a V2...the top of the hammer needed very minor grinding and the safety facets. The result is simply off the chart!

    Have you tried the MBT2 trigger from Larue? I hadn't seen that free float handguard either, it's an interesting setup. The Tippman barrel 'clamp' instead of the extension is kind of novel.. makes sense to turn that notch into the barrel for indexing.

    • @WilliamCChapin
      @WilliamCChapin  Рік тому

      Yes, I have two of them, and I like them! The Tippmann M4-22 has some proprietary parts (the selector is one of them) and the ACT is one of the few “improved” triggers that will drop in. I almost bought another MBT from Steve at DART to try in the Tippmann!

      Hi Tony! Is there something specific about the bolt and ejector that you’re looking for? I haven’t done anything more than wipe it clean. 🙂

    I didn't know they made a free float m4 style fore grip ?

    • @WilliamCChapin
      @WilliamCChapin  Рік тому +1

      I suppose it’s an A2/A4 handguard since it’s rifle length. Since there’s no gas block on a blowback action, the 16” barrel isn’t a problem.

    1:58 I couldn't loosen those four small alen screws on the original hand guard? Too tight 😡

    • @WilliamCChapin
      @WilliamCChapin  22 дні тому

      Hmm…I don’t recall having any problem removing them. Perhaps thread locker was used - a little heat may help if that’s the case.

    Wow! I don’t mean to be impolite but how much did you spend on extras?

    • @WilliamCChapin
      @WilliamCChapin  Рік тому +1

      Steve gave me a good deal on the float tube and stock, so with the ALG ACT trigger I probably added about $250, plus the scope, which was under $200 from Champions Choice at Camp Perry last year. All said and done, it was maybe $500 to turn it into what I wanted. Thanks for watching!

    Seems like Tippmann has found the most moronic way to attach a barrel.

    • @WilliamCChapin
      @WilliamCChapin  11 місяців тому +1

      I don’t see it that way. Their approach allows a simple, straight taper barrel to be mounted with standard barrel nuts. Since it’s blowback, no receiver extension is needed for lockup. It makes sense to me.

    • @janik1691
      @janik1691 11 місяців тому +1

      @@WilliamCChapin At first I thought it's a bit different design, but after seeing a pic with removed barrel it seems to be ok. Still would love to see a dummy barrel extension in end of a barrel.
