While there isn't much story, it seems that the faster pace means the boat is passing the characters before they finish speaking, so the overall plot is less coherent in Disneyland. Hoping they adjust a few of the gated check points to spread the waiting and pauses out across the ride instead of having a bunch of boats stuck at the big drop.
That’s the weird thing, though, I like both of them pretty equally. I like the fast pace and I know people are not a fan of the dead space, I feel like people forget that splash Mountain. Also I did space. But besides that point, sometimes it just like a longer ride and it kind of gives you the feeling that you’re going down the Bayou, which is nice, which is nice. I like both, but I feel like Disneyland does a better job at spreading things out
Disneyland works a lot better for reasons outside of the ride itself. Because Disneyland has New Orleans square, with Tiana's Palace and Tiana being a regular walk around character the plot of her basically going into the Bayou/critter country to play at a party works so well here. It makes it feel like Tiana is actually living at the park in New Orleans. Unfortunately Florida is not going to have that.
I am not an imagineer, but I think the retheme suffer from two issues. 1. Forcing the same storyline on two different rides. The Disneyland feels a tiny bit too fast but it is still somewhat fine. The world version has too much empty space and has pacing issues. 2. It is a log flume ride. What differentiates a log flume from other waterrides? The drops. The area before the drop should build up anticipation. A sense of danger. The guests need to prepare themself for the drops. Also the area after the drop should signal that the immediate danger is over and that the guest can relax again. The storyline feels to sanitized for a thrillride. A ride with a height requirement can have a more interesting story.
Great vid LMG. Love the ride, love the music. There'll be plenty of room for me in line since all these snowflake babies are too butt hurt to ride a ride that God forbid has a black girl as the main character.
Great videos!! ❤ “Hey Brickey” channel brilliantly said this ride was designed for Disneyland because our interior space is smaller - he was so right - but it still looks awesome at WDW.
Disneyland’s is much better. The pacing is much better, its no longer as boring and the splashes are HUGE! The only thing I think disney world did better was the track. I liked how the track barriers were much lower, making it look much better, its for that reason i like WDW’s its a small world over DL
Disneyland's version probably benefits the lackluster story better, but the same colder atmosphere, basic af animatronics outside the main cast, and the cheap set redesign still remains in the ride They wasted their time and for what? Because people on the Internet claimed the old theme was racist? God I hate the internet so much

Splash Mountain didn’t have much of a storyline either, nor did it have anywhere near the kinetic energy of the remodel. You all are just angry at anything you perceive as “woke”, whatever that means.

Assuming the lies were truth and splash mountain was racist then it was the greatest racist log ride in the world. And we still love it and miss it. Would happily take the racist log ride over this. Splash was a legendary attraction
9:45 the saddest thing about this new ride at both locations is that there is absolutely no joyous music playing after the drop. The music helps immerse people more and evokes fun!! I miss zip a dee doo da already. Oh and then there’s the utter lack of story that doesn’t tie in to Princess and the Frog in the slightest. Borefest.
@@glen7567 You need to go to the bayou and recruit musicians for Tiana’s party. It’s also obvious that it’s a sequel because you see that Tiana opened her restaurant.
I Slightly Disagree For Disneyland Being Better Over All, Because I See That Disneyland Piles Animatronics To Close Making It Feel Rushed!.. And The Story Scenes Are About The Same Just A Slight Layout Difference!.. The Only Two Things I See Better At Disneyland Is The Lightning Bug Screen Scene, Being Before Louis As You Enter The Show Building & The Screen Lighting Quality Is Better!.. Thanks For The Video!........
Tiana's is faster paced and meant for disneyland, still does not mean that its better than splash, that entire section where the beehives, laughing place, and burrows lament used to be are completely gutted and sucks now. I loved how colorful and full of animatronics it was. Sad they removed literally everything from that entire area and made it bare. The first area where the geese used to be feels very empty again just like disney worlds geese area. The ride just isnt meant for a big log flume, they should have made Tiana her own ride and leave splash mountain as is.
Not way better, only slight differences. You are the definition of a Disney adult, only like the old rides you grew up with, and hate the new ones that replaced them without a good reason. You are being biased.
This retheming just feels so rushed which is weird to say given the animatronics. I like the idea, just think it needs another go around. Adding Facilier and a couple of magic moments would help a ton
The fast paced nature of Disneyland worked better as there's really no dead spaces. Also there's a bigger "splash" in Disneyland 😉

Disneyland’s seems better in my opinion, but that’s not saying much.
Copium
I didn’t realize how much faster the DL logs were.
Seems like Disneyland version is much faster than WDW version in some parts of the ride
I can’t wait to see this in Person at Disneyland

I appreciated this video and seeing how the two parks compare to one another.

Love your all of your vids, LMG. Always excited when you post
Thank you!
Is it the size of the log that makes the WDW ride so much slower?
No, I believe the track is actually longer.

I liked how the track barriers were much lower, making it look much better, its for that reason i like WDW’s its a small world over DL
Not much of a difference, MK’s is actually better cause it’s longer and the “dead space” is just transitioning between show seens.
The Tokyo version is definitely the best one
4:30 curious as to why Disney felt the need to add the tunnel here at Disneyland??
TBA is noticeably darker inside, so that prevents sunlight from coming into the show building and washing out all the new lighting effects
@@vectr0nmusic makes perfect sense. Thank you.

About as much as I miss Babes in Toyland and the Mule ride.
No water falling and no mist at the final drop in Disneyland? Sad.
It’s still supposed to be there, it just wasn’t working yesterday
In Disneylands version, you’re faster, and get more wet then Disney worlds
Tiana not working in the barn already? Sad.
Which side looks better? Disneyland or Disney World?
Neither its a trash layout for a ride that shouldve never been changed
Since it exists now .. Disneyland works a lot better

Not entirely. Disneyland’s version has a different track layout, and it’s location makes more sense because it’s right next to New Orleans Square
