    I bought this unit 4 weeks ago. Works very well but every time one moves the handle from the lock position, it makes a horrible loud sound and I would expect that something will break sooner than later. I feel a bit like a guinea pig that I bought this so early after its release. I bet that locking mechanism will be improved in future models. Not what I expected on a $1000.0p machine

      You bought way too early. Never vuy a product so fast!! Wait for the reviews from publications and other clients first.
      Outside of their traditional vacuum cleaners, Dyson has struggled to make good cleaning devices. They come late, several years after the other brands (like their robot vacuum that was a failure)

    • @dyson
      @dyson  Місяць тому +1

      The Dyson WashG1™ wet cleaner is a dedicated hard floor cleaner which pioneers a new system that doesn’t rely on suction. With 2 counter-rotating motorised rollers, as well as hydration and extraction pumps, the Dyson WashG1™ doesn’t need a vacuum motor to clean or to separate solid debris and liquids. This also helps avoid the unpleasant odours which vacuum motors can exhaust back into the room.
      If you need the dual functionality of a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner which also includes a wet roller cleaner head for hard floors, the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine™ or the Dyson V12s Detect Slim Submarine™ vacuums may be a better fit for your needs.

      What I am getting at is I’m wondering if it comes with a cleaning solution, for example if it only uses water then I wouldn’t want to clean a bathroom floor and then clean other parts of the house spreading things around rather then sanitizing them. I have the mop head for my v15 and it says to use just water… which is basically rinsing the floor and not sanitizing.

    You cannot have quality tech and design for a low price and most of the other products on the market are just cheap Chinese junk and some are knock offs of Dyson tech - basically landfill products which are designed to last only a few months on the hope you buy a new one. Dyson also has reasonably priced parts / accessories that can be purchased as well. This device sells in Australia for AU$1,000 however no one pays retail and waits for Dyson’s frequent sales to get a cheaper price. There is more to a product beyond price - quality - longevity - warranty - support part replacement price features etc. NOTE: This device does not have a heating element to dry the floor - you still have to wait for natural airflow to dry the floor when the cleaning is finished.

      Dyson vacuum’s aren’t good quality though they are mass produced in Malaysia, they are junk. The only component that’s good in a Dyson is the motor which unfortunately doesn’t matter since the plastic shell or the many over engineered paper thin plastic components will break longer before the motor does. Also their claim of zero loss of suction has been debunked years ago since non o-ring seal plastic joints physically cannot have a perfect airtight seal.
      For a thousand dollars the best quality vacuum you can buy is made by Miele. No fancy tricks or gimmicks or technology it’s just a metal vacuum with a very powerful motor. The saying goes less is more and with vacuum’s this is the ideal approach.

      @@known3617miele vacuums have been inspired by Dyson Vacuums whether you admit it or not. Just say that you’re advertising your Miele. Majority customers own their Dyson products for YEARS with no issues, I swear yall complain “oh it broke” but never provide evidence or trace back what happened to conclude why it broke. I have a hard time believing a company that’s put multiple videos of them abusing/stress testing products to guarantee longevity and some people crying on social media that theirs broke under “normal use.” Also if you’re asinine claim of no loss of suction is debunked, then that’s a whole vacuum problem not just Dyson smart one. Don’t like Dyson products, don’t buy them. Otherwise looking like 🤡 commenting on their SOCIAL MEDIA trying to look to prove something.

      Sort of but this and the Hizero are the only hard floor washers on the market that can easily separate solid and liquid into separate containers. You still have to do an inconvenient amount of cleaning after you are done with current had floor washers mixing both solid and liquid together. Unlike a traditional cordless vacuum, it’s not as convenient to just mop your entry way every day. This and the Hizero make frequent cleans a little more convenient.
      The Hizero originally was priced at 700 and people still preferred that to the other hard floor washers at the time.
      Of course it is ultimately up to you the consumer on what you want.
