I've got a question I've been wondering about for a long time. If I understand the book of revelations correctly (and I could be wrong...probably wrong. Lol) wasn't it originally written as letters to different churches? If it was broken up into letters to specific groups of people why do we read it as one book? And how do we know the order if it wasn't a single document to begin with? Is there something I missed? Thanks so much! I know that new questions werent requested here but I missed the stream and really want to hear what Mike winger has to saying the subject.
Lon Spector thank you! I knew this was for a future time but for some reason I thought it was sent to actual existing churches when it was written and was also intended for the future. I get it now. I've just done more research on the rest of the bible and hadn't quite gotten to revelations yet.
GREAT session! I was born and grew up Pentecostal; generally a denomination leaning toward “ the gift of tongues” actually elevates and empowers a person b e y o n d the average Christian. I’ve seen many abuses and exaggerated behaviors over the years. When Paul says people not familiar with these practices will believe you to be crazy..he was speaking wisely! I’ve actually begun to question this gift in public use. When you see a “ prophet” misuse the gift, it’s time to reread what the scripture says. Omy.
Sarah Perman: when I was a public school teacher, I wasn’t allowed to talk about my faith to children. I did start a prayer group before school and invited fellow teachers. Most said no! But as I was walking to prayer... after a while some staff would poke their heads out of their rooms and make a prayer request. :) You could ask other bus drivers you see how you may pray for them! Follow up and ask how life is going! Do your job with the love of God and both children and staff will see a difference. Be on time. Know the kids and be kind and caring. Smile!!!
Sarah Perman- I worked teaching English in a M*slim country. I wrestled with this question too as sharing my faith was wrong on many levels- m*ssion@ties were not allowed, “trying to convert” a minor was illegal, and I was hired to teach English. What I felt God led me to do was share when the opportunity clearly presented itself. This often happened on breaks when students came to talk to me outside, but once it happened in a classroom. One of the boys asked me why if I was a Christian and why I believed it was true. We were in the middle of an English lesson so I said we can talk about that later if you really want to know. Several other students chimed in and said we want to know too!! So I silently prayed for a minute, and felt strongly that I should take the opportunity. I then shared with the whole class and they hung on my every word. Paid more attention than they ever did to English lessons!! I was shaking but it was incredible! So I say, be yourself, be a light, but if that light you shine brings an opportunity for a student to talk to you further about your faith, prayerfully take the opportunity. And ask God for those opportunities! He WILL bring them to you :)
WOW! You planted a lot of seeds all at once ... I don't know if it ultimately affected your job but I dare say even if it did it was so worth it! We have in us an ingrained knowledge and desire to know our creator and Savior. They were hungry and you fed them. How incredible will it be to see someone in heaven that you first introduced them to THE way, THE truth, THE life?? This gives me God-bumps!! 🙌
I know this sounds soo vain to a lot of people but, one of the things I dream of the most when i think of heaven, is being able to love and touch the beautiful animals we now cannot. Without any fear whatsoever.. I mean .. the beauties of creation. I think I feel that way because since the beginning that was true and maybe it’s like a longing?
Sarah: "It's good to share the gospel, , and sometimes even use words". In other words...your love for your neighbors ( the children and parents), the way you act, treat others and your actions and honesty is a great example of the gospel! Let your light shine and you will be sharing the gospel w/o even preaching!! I hope that helps!!! :)
It's always good to live out our faith, as an example to others, and many times people will notice the difference in us. However, that in and of itself, is not the gospel. Sharing the gospel requires us to tell people about Jesus and what He did for us all. If we proclaim the gospel that saves is only about the way we act and live, we would be leading many people astray.
@@MT-vz5rgthe point is that Sarah (& many others) arent able to verbalize the gospel. She was asking how she could handle a situation at work where she wants to share the gospel but doesn't want to get in trouble by doing so...
I can tell you by experience that being in a place where you can't share your faith is troublesome to your soul. Perhaps finding other outlets where you can after work can help. Wearing a cross or having a scripture on your desk (if permitted) is another means of letting folks know you are available.
For myself, God has been convicting me on how and with what I entertain myself. A verse that has come to mind continually- while I've wrestled - is from Philipians... what ever is true, noble, right, pure, etc. I think on the things that I watch and read, so how do those things shape my walk with Christ? Is it edifying and helping me focus on Christ? What you continually watch will have an effect on your daily life and views.
Sarah Perman I used to work for a USDA state program I had many clients that often needed a word and encouragement. I wore a name badge. I attached the badge to a necklace that was a thin leather string with a small three nails attached at the end. It was a good conversation starter and sent them the message that I was a believer. I found I didn’t really need to “solicit” my beliefs which would’ve been a sore point for my employers. The clients would come to me and then I can share freely. Also my children attend a recreation center that states no soliciting which includes religion, however that does not mean they cannot praise the Lord and proclaim what God has done for them, an excellent way to share the gospel.
After becoming a believer the pre trib rapture fascinated me. So I dug in deep. I cam away doubting the rapture all together. Several year later, I dun into it again, rejecting the pre trib rapture all together. I have come to a pre wrath stance on the rapture. It is straight forward and very easy going this route.
Yes, you're right, but there is absolutely a separate Resurrection for the church Matthew 24 36 Jesus says no man knows the day except the Father John 6 39-54 Jesus says at the Last day four times Jesus is Truth Jesus is talking about two Resurrections Revelation 20 shows two Resurrections One is called the First Resurrection One is at the Last day Revelation 21 shows no more days in New Jerusalem Jesus is Truth Keep the Faith Mystery Babylon added the church to the thousand year reign of Jesus There's no Bible Verses that promise the thousand year reign of Jesus to the church/bride Only the saints that overcome the Mark of the beast reign with Jesus Revelation 20 4 seven descriptions Revelation 2 & 3 seven letters LISTEN TO JESUS ONLY
Sarah Permin I have this same predicament working in nursing homes in Australia. I clean 30 elderly resident’s rooms everyday, and I find it so difficult to not be able to share my faith with them due to certain guidelines we have to follow. A lot of them are not saved and obviously in their latter years of life, hence I feel the urgency to do something. I’ve found that a great way of being a light is to first and foremost do your job well and be interactive with them and get to know the kids on your bus! You can lead by example and show a difference through your actions of good work ethic and kindness. Another big thing that we as Christians can tend to do is underestimate the power of prayer! Pray for the children on your bus everyday! I pray for each resident when I walk into their room to clean and God has given me opportunity to drop some subtle bread crumbs through my residents sharing information with me like “I believe in God” and I get to tell them that I do to. But I wait for them to share and ask me questions before sharing openly with them due to not wanting to overstep the guidelines. It’s a tough one to handle and I’m praying that God gives you wisdom on how to interact with these children whilst being a light to them! 💕
Hi Mike, greetings in Christ from Tenerife, Spain... We are a small non denominational christian congregation and without copying you we teach the same doctrines you teach. God bless you. Love and hugs from Tenerife in Christ.
Sarah perman: my mom faced similar situation. She was an indian army nursing officer...she always preached the gospel to her patients, colleagues, seniors. Which resulted in many people coming to christ...so many. But there were some jealous people who complained about her and presented the case as force conversion to authorities. Senior most recieved the complain and a warning was sent to my mother. To my mother the souls of those people were more important than the persecution she would face. She was asked not to preach ...she told them if one person comes up and confesses that I force converted them I will agree to not preach. Also if anyone asks me to pray or asks the reason for my joy I will share .....and non of this will effect my efficiency at work. She remained at peace and continued loving, praying and encouraging many including the same people who complained against her. The consequence of that was, She lost her promotion but what she gained was all the souls and the same seniors who warned her....asked her secretly to pray for them. The senior who was responsible for rejecting my mother's promotion eventually got saved and apologised and tried everything to get her the promotion....but it was too late.:) The joy of suffering for her faith was so amazing for mom. But this was a special case ...my mom was so efficient in her work that they were very happy with her work and she was so gentle and loving that those same people eventually got transformed....she had special favour on her from god to do this. But non of this had any negative effect on anyone, their jobs or there reputation.... that she made sure. Not allowing anyone else to suffer because of her. So what I belive is our 1st priority is salvation of people but not at the cost of inefficiency at work or putting other people in danger. Eg acts 16:26 the prison open miraculously and the jailor thinks the disciples ran away....he in fear was about to take his life to realise no one left. That example is a good one not to cause danger to others in what we do. We need to continually pray and seek gods guidance. Each situation is different..we have to always think of others weither it is winning souls or protecting people from suffering from our actions.... not from selfish ambition! Hope it helps. Mike I really enjoy your vedios....often send the vedios to many. So helpful. Thank you.
Suffering is part of our salvation. What we miss is teaching on how God gives us such power to shine in the suffering like those who were martyred throughout history. What power, what glory, what Salvation! Rapture is bait to distract us and steal our martyrdom
Sarah Perman. I work at a community college. I have plaques on my desk with scripture, wear a simple cross daily, and give God the glory whenever a student thanks me ("It's God in me" or "God gifted me with the skills for this job!"). I volunteer to serve on committees. I'm always helpful when I can be. Everyone on campus who knows I'm a Christian. And I pray for chances to share my faith with coworkers. You can do these things!
We dont know the timing of the rapture, but we know for sure that God’s timing is always perfect so trust in the Lord our God and keep doing the good things that you’re doing. God bless you all.
I tried reading only KJV when I was a new follower of Christ. I couldn’t relate to it and reading the Bible was like a chore. I started reading NLT and I could finally enjoy reading Gods word♥️ I read from many translations. ESV has become my fave. So glad God has given us different translations for different readers
Thanks for answering my question on the rapture Pastor Mike. Another thing we agree on. I would like to see you do an in depth on the rapture and end times. God bless you brother.
In the meantime we can learn more about the rapture from other raptures recorded in scripture. .. Enoch (Gen 5:24)... Elijah (2 Kings 2)... Philip was raptured from the Ethiopian and deposited somewhere else(Acts 8:26-40)... Jesus at the transfiguration (Matt 17:2 interesting to note that Peter knew who Moses and Elijah were even though they weren't introduced... We'll know each other's names just like that! ) Rapture is not a new concept in the New Testament.
Hello from the future I just wanted to say thank you that every q&a is named or the image is the FIRST question you answer! Not the last, not somewhere hidden inside. I listen to them all and enjoy your perspective and deep biblical thinking on all questions but it’s an added bonus that I know I see a question I wonder and it’s the first topic. You don’t have to do it but it’s noticed and appreciated
I appreciate your explanation of our relationship to our dead loved ones. I hear so many Christian friends talk about their loved one being their angel who watches over them, how they sense their presence, and even talk to them as if they are there. I believe they are still grieving and cannot let go of them. I see this so much more often in the last few decades and think it is due to new age ideas becoming accepted in our culture.
Thank you Pastor! I'm getting tired of Christians arguing about pre, mid and post. Who cares? Jesus is coming! That's what matters and that is our blessed hope!
But it's the strong delusion The only way they can argue about when the rapture happens, they have to be deceived about the thousand year reign of Jesus Matthew 24 36 Jesus says no man knows the DAY except the Father John 6 39-54 Jesus says at the Last DAY four times Jesus is Truth Jesus is talking about two Resurrections Revelation 20 shows two Resurrections One is called the First Resurrection One is at the Last DAY Revelation 21 shows no more DAYS in New Jerusalem Mystery Babylon added the church to the thousand year reign of Jesus Jesus is Truth Keep the Faith
@@elizabethreimer532 because although it doesn’t affect our justification, it affects our sanctification. With an “imminent” rapture belief, it gives us an urgency to share the gospel with people. Not to mention, we are commanded to “watch” the signs. I LOVE Mike Winger, but after listening to Dr. JB Hixon and Dr. Andy Woods, I hold to a pretrib view. Unless you love your life unto death, I’d recommend you check the out their teachings on a pretrib rapture. God bless!
Sarah Perman: I also struggled with this at work, however I started leaving a track for someone God puts on my heart I also pass out Tracks when the Holy Spirit leads me to or budges me. Regardless of feeling embarrassed. Also I love the idea of the prayer meeting in the morning before school and I bet you can hold a monthly prayer meeting that you could leave a flyer for for anyone interested (kids parents etc.) might be a great outreach opportunity on a Saturday. There are also organizations that speak to schools and you could talk to your church and see if they could help with the program that way it’s more of a church helping rather than a teacher. God Bless! You got this Sister! I will pray the word spreads like fire in the hearts of those you reach!
Sarah Perman I teach both Jews and Muslims at a college in Israel. Because of my ethnic features students sometimes ask me if I'm Jewish. Because the answer is no, it opens the door to questions. Witnessing isn't possible but if students or other teachers ask questions I answers. This might be a good rule of thumb: answer if you are asked, otherwise be the "fifth gospel" (and pray for the people you meet daily at work). God bless you all!
How about “Stump the Pastor”...? Mike, I had this idea for my pastors several years ago. What if once a month we had an event at the church where non Christians could come and ask a pastor their most confusing questions about God, Christianity and the Bible? I felt like a lot of people might come. Of course there would be trolls and rabble rousers that might show up. But we could say “No rotten egg or tomato throwing.” I really thought it would draw some people. I thought We could advertise on social media, the website, local papers......maybe even flyers and posters placed around town. I really thought it was a good idea.....but alas they never did it. And we had two pastors, which would help if one got stumped. That’s my best idea for the Q & A title. Because I think we want to draw unbelievers who have sincere questions. “Stump the pastor” It’s a wholesome challenge!
I have been to a church that does this every Wednesday. Also I listen to a radio show everyday that is a group of pastors and people call in questions.
I realize I'm 3 years late to this party, but I'd like to comment on 48:51 I think it's important for such matters, to live as holy and righteously as possible. Let your conduct open doors for people to "Ask you of the hope that is within you" (1 Peter 3:15) and truth be told, in today's society, how you live your life will say so much more about the power and truth of the gospel than what you say. There's a million and one "preachers" of the gospel in the world today, but how many actually live it? Be the one who lives it! Let your conduct draw people to the Savior! Be salt and light! Matthew 5:13-16
Sarah Perman, I'm a cop and know that I can't exactly preach to everyone I interact with. I can however share my faith with coworkers in the context of an already developed relationship. During breaks, or if you are doing something where you can talk and work at the same time. I have a couple coworkers that I've been working on for a long time. The key is it must be organic.
Yep organic. My buddy saw i was struggling and it happened so naturally cause I questioned and was curious im thankful my seed got watered by her she is so loving and a good friend! Thank you Amanda! 🙏
Sarah Perman. Here's my take and approach. I ask the Lord to bring opportunities to share my faith with others and then wait on Him to stir up my heart to these opportunities. If the Lord is leading, you can trust Him to keep you from stumbling. Sometimes we are so eager to share that we get into a works mode and go ahead of the Lord. Hope this helps.
Mike, we sure do know when the catching away happens for the living believers. We are told in John 6:54, that those who 'eat my flesh and drink my blood,' Jesus will raise up AT THE LAST DAY. The phrase 'last day' in Greek ix eschatos and means final day in time, so that has to be at the return of Christ.
Mike, I agree. I'm glad to hear another pastor say, "I don't know" about the timing of the rapture (pre, mid or post trib). It seems most people take a hard stance when the Bible really isn't clear on that.
Thank you for sharing your cat with us. She's gorgeous. It made me smile. Earlier this year I had to have my 21y old cat euthanised. She wasn't sick; her body just wore out.
Aww, when you’re ready, I find it helpful to get another kitty if you haven’t already. The new kitty will never replace the old, but it helps your heart heal and brings that love and something to cuddle back into your life.
Best answer on John 6:44 I've ever heard! Putting the book in proper context. I've heard similar answers but never that plain. I was a Calvinist for a bit but never had consistent peace, and my worship for God suffered. I'm still open to it being true because I just want truth no matter what and whether I like it or not so I'm taking the lenses off and reading scripture prayerfully and trying to let go of my presuppositions as well as preferences. If Calvinists believe that God's Sovereignty and our responsibility is a paradox that they consider true and are okay with, then why can't they see God's Sovereignty and our free will that way?
John 6 39-54 Jesus says at the Last day four times Pre Mid Post trib believers all say there's a thousand or more years after the day Jesus calls the Last day That doesn't sound like the Last day Daniel 12 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting Life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. That sounds like the Last day Only the saints that overcome the Mark of the beast reign with Jesus It's all there in Revelation 20 Christians that die before the Mark of the beast don't need their Resurrected body's for anything until judgment day Revelation 21 shows no more days in New Jerusalem Jesus is Truth Keep the Faith Please double check the Last day 1 Corinthians 15 Paul says the Resurrection of the dead four times before verse 51
Concerning the question about losing salvation I always come back to what Jesus says when he says “Depart from me, I never knew you.” He doesn’t say “I once knew you and now I don’t”, or “I forgot you” but that he never knew these people. I believe when you are saved you truly have a sincere change of heart and the Holy Spirit indwells you and the scriptures (forgive me I forget where) talks in different passages throughout the Bible that darkness cannot fellowship with light, when a light comes on the darkness flees. We still make mistakes and sin but the Holy Spirit is the rock within us that convicts and speaks to us from continuing to pursue an evil path, even if we may give in the flesh for a season in an area, the Holy Spirit let’s us feel that guilt and that our fellowship with God isn’t where it should be. Just like a marriage. Me and my husband might go through a season where our fellowship isn’t where it should be, but we aren’t divorced. I have never read anything that says the Holy Spirit will leave you and divorce you if you sin this much or, etc. And I believe those who reject Christ never knew him to begin with. There are people out there who are “fans” of Jesus, but not true followers. Kind of unrelated but similar to this is why I believe true followers can be oppressed by demons- but not possessed. A demon cannot own and inhabit and control the very home that the Holy Spirit lives, the two would not be able to live together in the body at the same time.
Totally agree with your comment!! I actually started reading this book by Bryan Chapell titled “In The Grip Of Grace. When you can’t hang on” and goes over Romans 8 and says exactly what you’re saying!!!
Brother, I am blessed on this comment. I actually believe that we don't lose salvation but I don't have full clarity yet. Your statement gave me clarity and I believe this is led by the Holy Spirit. I always say that doubting our salvation is bad, but the right action should be evaluating our faith in our lives. My first statement is really dangerous because never doubting our faith but not evaluating our faith in our lives will not lead to repentance. Because they are fully believed they are saved while still living in sin. I should also repent because I have said it to my friends and family. Thank you brother and ultimately thank God for revieling the truth to me.
“Pastors answering your questions” I’ve definitely seen a lot of people inclined to click on that tittle especially when they use the title of the credential “pastor” anything with pastor in my opinion will draw a lot of people to be interested in it
I love your channel Mike, you help so much. So glad you are doing the Q & A weekly. I also love 🐈 s. I took in a stray kitten 2 weeks ago and 3 days later she had 5 babies! I thot she was too young and maybe she had worms....boy was i wrong! They are so adorable at 2 weeks old💓
Really awesome BALANCED Q&A responses. LOVE that you had the humility to admit you "don't know" in response to a number of questions, especially the highly important lose salvation question. The aberrant "gospel" message of "say this short prayer, and you can proceed to live like the Devil till Jesus returns -- with impunity" has taken such a foothold in so much of modern evangelicalism, so it was great to see the question given the solemn respect it deserves.
A possible new name for the friday Q/A sessions. “Take Every Question Captive” Episode #1, #2, #3.... ect. It’s a play on words of 2 Corinthians 10:5. That verse is often what you do in these sessions.
I have been a believer for 43 years; have studied this topic many times with people who view it differently but I come to the same conclusion every single time. God Bless You Brother. Love your teaching.
You just helped me understand a dream I had a while back. I am not someone who has a lot of dreams or anything like that, but I was going through a difficult time with two people in my life and it wasn’t something I had control over. I had a dream where two snakes wrapped around my ankles, and I bent down and pulled them off with my hands and broke them in half and walked away unharmed. Anyway, I thought that was so cool how you explained the “picking up serpents with your hands.”
I was pre trib for a long time until saw Sam Shamoun talk about how none of the early churches taught it and it was not even a thing till 1830 with the introduction of Scofield Bible translation and it was in the commentary footnotes. That really got me thinking and started looking into the prewrath theory and that actually seems to be way more biblical. Pretrib you really have to read into things in scripture that just aren't there. I think we will be here for the tribulation but we will be caught up before God pours His wrath on the wicked. I know feel much more prepared and no longer just waiting to waiting around to be secretly taken up before anything really bad happens. It says Jesus will not come back until the man of sin is revealed. Its also we will go through persecution and tribulation.....but are not appointed to Gods wrath.
Hi. I've been looking into this idea that the pretrib wasn't around before 1830, in fact, I've discovered it has been taught right from the days when Paul was writing his letters. Looking at this video, it's interesting how arguments like 'it's just not there in scripture" easily applies to both (in fact all 3 views), which is why we have the different views. The overarching theme of Christianity for the past 2000 years has been that the world will become worse and worse with a tribulation period ending things. The Left Behind series may be popular, but it's not a mere invention. It's complicated, isn't it?
This teaching that the pretribulation rapture idea got its start in 1830 is in error. If you read some of the early church "fathers" and writing you see they also spoke of it
@Maria Can you post names and quotes. I haven't found proof of this anywhere. People occasionally say this, but they never supply actual examples. I'd be interested. Thank you!

Sarah Perman: Kindness is very powerful and can communicate the love of Christ without words. Your sincere interest in the children, and cheerful disposition will speak volumes. You may be the only one who gives them any attention, or asks them how they're doing. You could also sing hymns while you are driving.
The Deal with the extra verses in Mark almost made me believe that that bible was in error. So I researched like crazy and came across Chuck Missler's answer to this problem. The earliest copy of the New Testament is a copy of Mark. and it leaves the Women afraid at the tomb like you said in verse 16:8 Missler says just because this is the earliest copy in existence doesn't mean it is a complete copy. It every well could be a copy that wasn't finished. Also he says they have treatises, which are sermon notes form the early church fathers that predate the latest copy of Mark and you can see where they quoted from the supposed added verses ( 16:9-20 ) So from this line of evidence those versers were subsequently left out not added. So, your bible is reliable. an no one added anything. God knows how to preserve his word. I hope this helps.
I love the encouragement to the missionary. That should be encouragement to all of us. We have no idea how our witness will impact others and have a ripple effect.
Hello dear Pr. Mike, I much appreciate your ministry, and nearly always agree with you! But I am a lover of the KJV, because of its beauty, poetry and solemnity, (although I know many new translations are excellent!) I would be very sad to lose it.
“I know I threw a lot at you...but that’s kinda what I do.” GOLD 😂 Also- show name ideas... 1) wisdom with winger 2) ask mike anything 3) bible thinker live (I know they’re all live but it’s more of an interactive platform with the q and a’s)
My problem is with the “secret” rapture. 1Thess4:16 appears to be quite public. The Lord descends with a shout, the cry of command, and trumpet of God. Seems like the end of the age to me.
Sarah Permin...I was a teacher for 20 years. I sponsored a bible club in 2 different districts. We were allowed to meet before or after classes officially started because it was not class time/official school day time (just the same as kids could be shooting hoops in the gym before the first bell rings because school hasnt actually started yet). It would seem that during the bus route (before and after school) would fall into that category as well. Also, any time a student began the conversation I was allowed to answer. In other words, I could not approach a student and initiate the conversation but I do have Constitutional protection to believe what I believe and when questioned to answer honestly about my faith.
In Matthew 24, the disciples asked Jesus bluntly when the end would be and when would He be coming. Jesus just as bluntly told them. He told them what would happen leading up to the Tribulation. He told them what to expect during the Tribulation. And He told them what would happen after the Tribulation. It’s all right there in Matthew 24 straight from Jesus Himself. *Please note that when Jesus talks about ALL of it (pre-Trib, Trib, and post-Trib) He never mentions a pre-Trib rapture to reassure the disciples that the Church wouldn’t suffer. Instead, Jesus said, “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith…” *Note also that Jesus doesn’t say, “Then THEY will be persecuted, hated, killed…”. He says, “Then YOU will be hated, persecuted and killed.” How do you know that Jesus is referring to the Church during the Tribulation? Because that entire chapter is Jesus answering the disciples question of when is the end, and when are you coming. Finally, note that the most used scripture for a pre-Trib rapture is 1 Thess 4:16-17. So what is happening in 1 Thessalonians? Paul is speaking to Thessalonica and in the scripture in chapter 4, he’s reassuring them about people who have died and he’s telling them that it’s okay because they who are in Christ will rise when Jesus returns and those alive in Christ will rise to meet Him. How do we know Paul is talking about after the Tribulation when Jesus returns? It’s because he says the exact same thing Jesus does in Matthew 24! 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God…” And if Paul describes Jesus’ second coming just as Jesus Himself describes His second coming, WHEN did Jesus say He was coming? Jesus said, “29 “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DISTRESS OF THOSE DAYS (the Great Tribulation)…. 30 “THEN will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call…”
On that second question, I understand Mark 16:9-20 the same way. When you intentionally put yourself in danger it does not mean you will always be protected from pain, almost every single time people do that, it ends badly. I liked that reference to Jesus’ temptation in the desert, it really puts it into context of what God may and may not do for you, depending on how smartly you go about things. When I am in times of trouble, situations that randomly came up that I am suffering through, I often pray to the Lord and ask Him to relieve me of my pain and trouble. And most of the time He does, which I am endlessly grateful for. But with the same amount of desperate pleading that I pray for divine rescue with, I also make sure to pray equally as hard that if His plan is to take me through this trial and grow me in the process, that it would be done, so that He can go in front of me and sustain me through the trial. I remember Jesus’ prayer with the disciples in John, where he said to the Father, “my prayer is not that You would take them out of this world but protect them in it,” and it encourages me to be faithful and find the strength of God to see my painful situations to the end. Then after I am pulled through the storm, I glorify God for keeping my hope strong and getting me to the other side!
It’s amazing that you can handle this much content and be a pastor. Praying that you don’t burn yourself out 🙏 One thought on deliberate sin. David deliberately sinned with Bathsheba and the killing of Uriah, yet God forgave him (Old Testament). There are other examples of this. I have kind of evolved over the years to believe that this refers to more sin without repentance. Understanding you fail and the need for Gods grace.
Q&A name suggestion: Your Bible Questions answered. Something like that would grab my attention. Once people watch they will come to know what we do which is if you don’t know, you will tell us you aren’t sure. I greatly appreciate your humility
Amir Tsarfati has many videos of revelation and the rapture. It makes the most sense and explains alot of the Christian environment that I grew up in. JD Farag is another one that knows the Bible and does an AWESOME job explaining !
JD Farag is someone we should absolutely NOT listen to. He has just gone waay off the prophecy rocker. Also, he calls those of us who don't believe the *timing* of the rapture happens pre trib, " *satanic* "!

The ending of Mark. The main question is, "is this teaching found elsewhere in scripture?" And the answer is a resounding, "Yes, and amen!" It might not be in the earliest manuscripts we have of Mark but it is all biblical teaching. It is not uninspired teaching even if Mark was not inspired to write it himself. It just appears that people read Mark after the apostolic age and added teaching from the other gospels or the letters of Paul.

3. 16:15 Do you have any advice for someone just starting out in ministry, especially as a missionary?

16. 50:34 Can someone lose their salvation?
17. 52:49 Are "tongues" overrated? I grew up hearing that tongues were like a special status symbol to give you better access to God, but is that biblical?

19. 57:25 How do you properly repent from a sin?
20. 58:26 Is having a more conscientious acknowledgement of God's presence unto repentance of sin a symptom of being indwelt by the Holy Spirit?
I've got a question I've been wondering about for a long time. If I understand the book of revelations correctly (and I could be wrong...probably wrong. Lol) wasn't it originally written as letters to different churches? If it was broken up into letters to specific groups of people why do we read it as one book? And how do we know the order if it wasn't a single document to begin with? Is there something I missed? Thanks so much! I know that new questions werent requested here but I missed the stream and really want to hear what Mike winger has to saying the subject.

For great information on the rapture watch Pastor Andy Woods from Sugarland Bible Church. He has a great You Tube channel.
Lon Spector thank you! I knew this was for a future time but for some reason I thought it was sent to actual existing churches when it was written and was also intended for the future. I get it now. I've just done more research on the rest of the bible and hadn't quite gotten to revelations yet.
Hey Mike. That's certainly nice of the cat letting you use her office.

Rapture? YES! When ? I DO NOT KNOW! Ready? YES!
All I know is, wether by dying or by flying, I intend to be with my Lord!!!!
AMEN!
Omy.
I'm a pan tribulationist. If you simply trust the Lord, everything will pan out in the end.
I thank you for this. Truly. As simple as this statement might mean to everybody else - i needed to read this today.
God bless you.

You could ask other bus drivers you see how you may pray for them!
God was protecting you during those courageous moments on your part.
That’s amazing

Humble people are like that.
Sorry for you that you do not know that.
Me too.
Same here!
Not vain at all! I wanna pet a huge tiger without getting eaten 😂👌🏾
Haha, I just think of a meme I saw saying “I will probably die trying to pet something I shouldn’t”. I hear ya sister!
Me too, and I tried imaging petting a grizzly bear without getting injured and I couldn't 😄
Call it "Winger, wings it!"
Totally enjoy your Q and A. Thank you for your ministry!
Lol
Mike, your answers are careful, scholarly and biblical. Please do not use the word "winging" it in your channel titles.
BEST biblical based Q and A EVER.....not only is there sound information... There are cat cams too!
Love the furry friends!
Chuck Missler used to say "heaven will be full of bad people who repented, and hell will be full of good people who haven't".

The Mike and moxie hour of power. Love these Q and a's. I have an hour drive and this is what I listen to.
Yes, you're right, but there is absolutely a separate Resurrection for the church

John 6 39-54 Jesus says at the Last day four times
Jesus is Truth
Jesus is talking about two Resurrections
Revelation 20 shows two Resurrections
One is called the First Resurrection
One is at the Last day
Revelation 21 shows no more days in New Jerusalem
Jesus is Truth Keep the Faith

Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 24 that the rapture happens "immediately AFTER the Tribulation", so He places the rapture Post Trib.

I have this same predicament working in nursing homes in Australia.

The truth will set you free
The senior who was responsible for rejecting my mother's promotion eventually got saved and apologised and tried everything to get her the promotion....but it was too late.:)
The joy of suffering for her faith was so amazing for mom.
So helpful. Thank you.
Your mother sounds like a wonderful woman.
Thank God it's Friday!
Are we ready that is the number one question. Pretrip mid trp post trip
Suffering is part of our salvation. What we miss is teaching on how God gives us such power to shine in the suffering like those who were martyred throughout history. What power, what glory, what Salvation! Rapture is bait to distract us and steal our martyrdom
May God bless you and keep you! You understood correctly.
From my understanding according to Matthew 24 Jesus comes back after the tribulation. New subscriber here! Love your videos!
I agree, looks like he comes after the 6th seal then after the 7th seal he opens his wrath on the earth
Absolutely!!!!😁😁😁
We'll know each other's names just like that! ) Rapture is not a new concept in the New Testament.
it's funny that he said he didn't know yet when he read the scripture he said at the last coming when jesus comes back is when the rapture is.

You are really practical and good
I appreciate your explanation of our relationship to our dead loved ones.
But it's the strong delusion
The only way they can argue about when the rapture happens, they have to be deceived about the thousand year reign of Jesus

@@elizabethreimer532 because although it doesn’t affect our justification, it affects our sanctification. With an “imminent” rapture belief, it gives us an urgency to share the gospel with people. Q&A
Sarah Perman:
I also struggled with this at work, however I started leaving a track for someone God puts on my heart I also pass out Tracks when the Holy Spirit leads me to or budges me.
Respect to you for being honest about not being sure about timing
“Stump the pastor”
It’s a wholesome challenge!
I LOVE that idea!
I have been to a church that does this every Wednesday. Also I listen to a radio show everyday that is a group of pastors and people call in questions.
Love how you decided to title your Q & A's and I really learn so much from them. I can't wait to get a question answered,
I realize I'm 3 years late to this party, but I'd like to comment on 48:51 I think it's important for such matters, to live as holy and righteously as possible.
Sarah Perman,
I'm a cop and know that I can't exactly preach to everyone I interact with.
Yes, many references to the Resurrection being "on the Last Day".
We rejoice at his coming because of the tremendous evil and suffering we have endured and our salvation has come!
These are great, always interesting to hear you respond to many various questions from the people.

Breanna this comment has made me cry with relief. Thank you so much. 🥲
Aww, so glad God could use me to touch the heart of a sister in Christ 😊❤️ Grace and peace to you!
Thank you brother and ultimately thank God for revieling the truth to me.
thank you for your honesty on your eschatology my friend!

Thank God Its Friday Bible Q&A
Hi Pastor Mike. Just found you April 2024; am very much enjoying your intelligent, inciteful teaching and your pleasant, winsome personality!!!
“Pastors answering your questions” I’ve definitely seen a lot of people inclined to click on that tittle especially when they use the title of the credential “pastor” anything with pastor in my opinion will draw a lot of people to be interested in it
I love listening to you!!! So glad I found you. By the way beautiful kitty 💕💚
I love your channel Mike, you help so much. So glad you are doing the Q & A weekly. I also love 🐈 s. I took in a stray kitten 2 weeks ago and 3 days later she had 5 babies! I thot she was too young and maybe she had worms....boy was i wrong! They are so adorable at 2 weeks old💓
Wow! What a surprise!
that's awesome 😻
So incredibly sweet 😍
Aww!! 🥰🥰💕☺️ I love cats sm
Really awesome BALANCED Q&A responses. LOVE that you had the humility to admit you "don't know" in response to a number of questions, especially the highly important lose salvation question. The aberrant "gospel" message of "say this short prayer,
and you can proceed to live like the Devil till Jesus returns -- with impunity" has taken such a foothold in so much of modern evangelicalism, so it was great to see the question given the solemn respect it deserves.

Mike I love your answers. I really appreciate your answer on "can you lose your salvation."
Thank you!
The Resurrection of the church is at judgment day
Matthew 24-36 Jesus says no man knows the DAY except the Father
John 6 39-54 Jesus says at the Last DAY four times
Jesus is Truth
Jesus is talking about two Resurrections
Revelation 20 shows two Resurrections
One is called the First Resurrection
One is at the Last DAY
Revelation 21 shows no more DAYS in New Jerusalem
Jesus is Truth Keep the Faith
Mystery Babylon added the church to the thousand year reign of Jesus
TOPIC SUGGESTION: Nice and simple "Ask a pastor"
Fighting for those who can't fight for themselves fridays

AMEN brother, it is indeed a Futurist view. Love your videos brother.
"The Lord of the Wing" Q&A Fridays... Get it?...... Cos He is your Lord, as well as mine =P
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hello dear Pr. Mike, I much appreciate your ministry, and nearly always agree with you! But I am a lover of the KJV, because of its beauty, poetry and solemnity, (although I know many new translations are excellent!) I would be very sad to lose it.
Name for Friday’s: Questions that need Answers
It's interesting how different the church today is compared to the early church. Society and people in the public have contributed to this change.
“I know I threw a lot at you...but that’s kinda what I do.” GOLD 😂
Also- show name ideas...
1) wisdom with winger
2) ask mike anything
3) bible thinker live (I know they’re all live but it’s more of an interactive platform with the q and a’s)
My problem is with the “secret” rapture. 1Thess4:16 appears to be quite public. The Lord descends with a shout, the cry of command, and trumpet of God. Seems like the end of the age to me.
Hey Pastor Mike I hope you are well. Your cat is a real cutie 😍😍
I personally like " Q and A: The Wingit".
Awesome answer on the Rapture
10 At that time many will turn away from the faith…”
*Note also that Jesus doesn’t say, “Then THEY will be persecuted, hated, killed…”. He says, “Then YOU will be hated, persecuted and killed.”
How do you know that Jesus is referring to the Church during the Tribulation? Because that entire chapter is Jesus answering the disciples question of when is the end, and when are you coming.
Finally, note that the most used scripture for a pre-Trib rapture is 1 Thess 4:16-17. So what is happening in 1 Thessalonians? Paul is speaking to
Thessalonica and in the scripture in chapter 4, he’s reassuring them about people who have died and he’s telling them that it’s okay because they who are in Christ will rise when Jesus returns and those alive in Christ will rise to meet Him.
How do we know Paul is talking about after the Tribulation when Jesus returns? It’s because he says the exact same thing Jesus does in Matthew 24!
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God…”
And if Paul describes Jesus’ second coming just as Jesus Himself describes His second coming, WHEN did Jesus say He was coming? Jesus said, “29 “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DISTRESS OF THOSE DAYS (the Great Tribulation)….
30 “THEN will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call…”
I love it when we see the kitties ❤
"Grill a christian" could be a catchy name for UA-cam
"HELP! I've got bible questions!"
Q&A @ 1pm Fridays
It’s amazing that you can handle this much content and be a pastor. Praying that you don’t burn yourself out 🙏
One thought on deliberate sin. David deliberately sinned with Bathsheba and the killing of Uriah, yet God forgave him (Old Testament). There are other examples of this. I have kind of evolved over the years to believe that this refers to more sin without repentance. Understanding you fail and the need for Gods grace.

Something like that would grab my attention. Once people watch they will come to know what we do which is if you don’t know, you will tell us you aren’t sure. I greatly appreciate your humility
For a title, "Help me understand."
“Ask a Christian” for the q and a
The righteous are "left behind", the wicked are taken away in judgment...
