I think she deliberately kept herself from seeing it. She didn't want the burden of someone else to love and risk losing. And she didn't want to get married, didn't want to risk having children and see them possibly sent off to the Hunger Games.

I love that he loved her from when they were in school and he would watch her walk by his house, and she didn't realize she loved him till his heart stopped beating and she almost lost him, she realized he was the most important person to her, and then he nearly killed her and she didn't care what happened to her, she wanted to know that he was ok, and she just kept hoping that her peeta would come back to her . ❤
I love the intercut of scenes of destruction and despair and clips of her spinning and being a distraction after Haymitch says it’s just a television show ( 2:53 ). That’s actually so powerful! The rest of the video is so lovely too, but I rewatch that part over and over!

What an amazing use of this song! One of my favorite Peeta/Katniss vids I've ever seen. Not that I've seen all that many, I listened to the audiobooks way late around 2018 ish, twice... and fell in love so much with this ship. I love that you captured how complex their story was! And I know how tricky this song is to vid with it's hyper specific lyrics. I vidded it once. :) It works so surprisingly well for them!
