  • SharpshootingUK examine a couple of new scopes from Delta Optical, the Titanium 4.5-30x50 and the Titanium HD 2.5-15x56, comparing them to relevant Bushnell Elite models. One of them in particular is a gem! Did this help you out & you'd like to return the favour? / sharpshootinguk

    I'm shooting a Delta Optical Titanium 3-24x56 on a Sako A7 Range .300 Win Mag since 1 year and I can only say: It is absolutely perfect. I just ordered a Savage 10 FCP-SR in .308 and will buy the same scope for it.

    Great review--helpful in an upcoming purchase. But I wonder...where might I find one of these? If only there were a reputable dealer out there... one that had, you know, like a warehouse full of optics? That'd be super... :)

    Hi Richard, because of you i actually bought a Recon some months ago and also a Delta Stryker i am VERY pleased with! I've tested many hunting scopes before (Leica Magnus, V8, 624i,Minox ZP) but i cant really find a sope better than the Stryker. Especially the ret is simply AMAZING. For a new short range hunting-ground in the woods i need a glass with more field of view / lower mag range. My question now is: Is the 2.5-15 Delta HD's glass as good the stryker's is? If thats the case, i wouldnt consider buying Zeiss & Co again. Thanks alot & regards Michael

    About two years ago I bought a Vixen 2.5 - 15 x 50. Shortly after, my dad bought a DeltaOptical with the same specs. It turnedout that these scopes were actually identical...the only difference were the caps on the turrets. The "Polish" one was about 30% cheaper. Maybe you know more about this, is Vixen making those Delta Optical scopes?

      I thought so! I have the vixen series Viii 2.5-15x50 too and it's superb. They now have the ARTES model which I looked through and my mind was utterly blown. Can't go wrong with a vixen and if they're making these, then they'll be awesome too

      Greg Baker good to hear from another Vixen-fan...there are not too many of us, but we know it's good stuff.
      Last year I bought the Geoma ED82 spotting scope with the GLT48 eyepiece and I was very happy with the optical quality of it...but in january I got the GLH30 wide-angle eyepiece and that lifted things up to absolute stunning optical performance. So yes...Vixen is my favourite brand...price/quality it is top notch. And binocular-wise I can highly recommend the Ultima 9x63....I've got Steiner (Safari Ultrasharp), Bushnell (Elite ED) and some lesser brands like Omegon and TS Optics...but the good old Vixen rules. 👌🤙🏻

    HI Richard, very much enjoy your reviews, they are very informative especially for someone new to the sport like me. i'm looking to put some better optics on my Tikka t3x Varmint which currently has a Meopta Meopro 6-18x50. i will primarily be using this for range work. with the 4.5-30x50 having only 40moa of elevation, will this be enough to easily push a 223 out to 500-600m? or further?

  • @splintergg

    I'm enjoying your reviews very much and appreciate the detail and effort that you put into them.
    Can I ask you what scope you would put on a 17 HMR? On one of your reviews I think you had a Docter on yours which does not seem readily available in Australia, if there is another scope suitable that you know of it would muchly appreciated as a lot of reviews on less expensive scopes seem to be squewed somewhat. Thank you.

      +splintergg Thank a lot :) This delta 2.5-15x56 would be great. As would a swaro z6 3-18. The meopta R2 2.5-15x56 would be grand, or the ZD 4-16

    Richard,the 2.5-15 delta, would it suit for dialing in on the odd long range varminting and steel plates. I've seen one at good money and it would be perfect for me for foxing but I also like to dial shots with my .223 out to 400yrds. Is it capaible or should I look at something else?

    Hey Richard! Great review! I will buy a new Delta! The only thing I wonder about is if I should take the 2.5-10x56 or 2.5-15x56. What is the differens there? Pros and cons?

    great review as always.
    I am in the market for a new scope it will be both for target and hunting. targets are for fun and usually no more than 300-400 yards. after watching your meopta meostar review I done my research and really though that was the one for me now you have done this review and I am back to square one. could you do a side by side or even just a pro and cons to help with choice.

    • @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK
      @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK  7 років тому +1

      Well here in UK the Meostar R2 is nearly twice as much money. The Delta HD 2.5-15x56 is v v nearly as good and has the parallax adjust, making it better for closer targets (air, rimfire etc) You'll never regret buying either but the PA is cool for DIY NV and for closer range stuff - so it depends on your budget and your usage, as always

    • @90-wolf4
      @90-wolf4 7 років тому +1

      yup I am in UK also. I have budgeted for a meo. will be used on fox, deer and targets with a pretty equal use between all 3. I like parallax but will never be used for night vision etc and only used 50 yards up so will it really benifit me? I have viewed the r1 meo and thought it was very nice. just on the fence as never seen the delta. thanks for getting back

    Hello Richard thanks for sharing your opinion and great review . Just quick question for u do u think that delta 2.5-15x56 would be good choice for 6.5 Swedish for hunting deer and fox

    • @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK

      Tahnk you. And yes I certainly do, as long as you don't mean at very long ranges where dialling becomes necessary (and more mag)

    Hi Richard, how does this scope compare to the Meopta ZD 4-16x44 in your view? Many thanks.

    • @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK
      @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK  8 років тому

      +Glynn Hough The ZD 4-16 is one of my favourites. It takes a Victory to beat it. It is brighter and a shade sharper than the Delta but to be honest that could be applied to almost anything.

    • @glynnhough3443
      @glynnhough3443 8 років тому +1

      +Richard Utting (SharpshootingUK) Thanks for the reply, i thought as much. Watching your reviews is turning out expensive! I now have the ZD 6-24 and an aim bag. Doesn't stop me wanting the 4-16 aswell though- such quality gear. Another sight i want is the Aimpoint micro T2, although it is a bit pricey, i just wondered if you had ever tried one on your 20g/12g.
      Cheers, Glynn.

    How does the elite 6500 track?

  • @leemark7713
    @leemark7713 7 років тому

    Delta optical have also took what was the lightstream by AK and rebounded it as there own, maybe apart from the ret, it is exactly the same as the lightstream 44obj version. I own two lightstreams, I've owned a few bushnell elite 6500 and the lightstreams are still here. 6500 over rated imo

      +Richard Utting (SharpshootingUK) hello again Richard,I've narrowed my choices down and I'm now stuck between the vortex viper pst and the delta titianium 4.5-30,in your opinion which has the better glass? Features seem about the same better ret on the delta maybe,I pretty much shoot rabbits out to around 250 yards very often at last light so best glass as possible really

    • @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK
      @RichardUttingSharpshootingUK  8 років тому

      +3108mac Well the uncluttered ocular will help with fitting. The ret is clear and the dot can be very dim. I can't see too many problems with tubed but I know tubed can be strangely fussy. With digital it's marvellous. Wide and versatile with the PA to sharpen things up nicely. N ice stable eye box helps and the mag range is perfect
