*Staffordshire University was known as North Staffordshire Polytechnic (NSP) in the 1980s. There was a student who studied there between 1986 to 1989, his name is Andrew David Webb. He was born in 1968. One day in March 1988, in the polytechnic's gymnasium, a female student was using the toilet at around 4.30 pm when the toilet door was forced open by a male student who had clearly been waiting for a female, **_any_** female, to come into the toilets. This male student then proceeded to rape the female student, even though the female student put up a good fight. Not only was she raped inside the toilet, she was also punched in the face during the sexual assault. The male attacker was known to her. His name was Andrew David Webb.* *The rape victim went home crying, and the next morning she informed the Dean of Students of North Staffordshire Polytechnic that she had been raped on campus the evening before. Guess what the Dean of Students said to her? He asked her if the sexual intercourse was "consensual"!!! The female student was shocked and repeated to him that she had been RAPED and named Andrew David Webb as her attacker. After about 5 minutes in the Dean of Students' office, the female student realised that the Dean wanted to cover up this incident because if word got out, there would be an uproar and North Staffordshire Polytechnic's reputation would be shred to pieces. The local newspapers would have a field day and everyone in the UK would find out that a female student using the loo at NSP got raped and punched in the face. The female student got out of the Dean of Students' office in a hurry and never told anyone else about the rape except two of her best friends. All this happened nearly 33 years ago.* *If you are a female intending to study at what is now called Staffordshire University, you should think twice. No, think three times. There are plenty of universities in the UK where the Dean of Students actually do the job they are hired to do and not cover up a crime. North Staffordshire Polytechnic (now Staffordshire University) was a criminal organisation and the Dean of Students back in 1988 was a rape enabler. He covered up a crime and refused to contact the police because he cared about the Polytechnic's reputation above all else. I do not think the intervening 33 years have changed anything as far as the University is concerned. The University will still sweep crimes committed on campus under the rug and dissuade students from seeking justice. Female students, avoid this criminal university.*
