Whoever is making your thumbnails is not doing your “brand” justice. No one will click as it looks amateur. Collages do not look good on UA-cam as at most it will only take up 1/3 of the viewers screen on an iPhone and even less on a desktop. If you are doing them, I’d suggest taking inspiration from people who you watch on UA-cam and getting a general feel for what is attractive for an audience to look at. You can tell how good your thumbnail is looking at your CTR (click through rate) which will tell you how many people click on your video after seeing the thumbnail. - Ideally you’d want around 20% but that depends on your impressions. Really you want your face somewhere in the thumbnail, bigger font and less noise. I think the 1st/2nd slide on your Instagram post about Wimbledon would’ve looked nicer, pick a bolder font you like a mess around on photoshop for a bit to fit the 1080x720? Dimensions you’d need for a thumbnail, if it doesn’t fit well it would be a good idea to take thumbnail specific photos. Some good inspiration would be “Macerly” I think she’d attract a similar audience to yourself, and has some pretty nice thumbnails.
