- In our latest video interview, MH’s Editor-At-Large Gordon Smart chats with world-record breaking British swimmer Adam Peaty ahead of the Paris Olympics.
The 29-year-old, who is best known for his dominance in breaststroke events, has won three gold Olympic medals in his career as well as multiple medals in international swimming competitions, including World Championships and European Championships. But it hasn’t always been straightforward. After a breakdown in his relationship with the mother of his child, Peaty has bravely opened up about his subsequent battles with alcoholism and depression.
In this candid half-hour interview, one of GB’s most decorated athletes talks about never giving up, fatherhood and the importance of being honest with yourself.

I AM VERY RPOUD of TEAM GB and to so many who supported me with MS thank you.Adam Peaty was so kind to me.
Amazing interview. This version of Adam Peaty after all this suffer and lows made him a great man and with great mentality. "If there were no illusion, there would be no enlightenment." I hope this quote reaches Adam Peaty, since he likes quotes so much.
What a man ❤
Tony Kroos is that you? 🤣
