INCREDIBLE WOMEN OF GOJAL VALLEY | DOCUMENTARY Sherina's Journey

This short documentary is the story of Sherina. She was born in the village of Gojal, Gilgit. Her mother got divorced when she was young and her stepmother does not allow her to go to school. She had a strong desire to get an education and she had a dream to be a teacher. Sherina bears all the hardships and harsh behavior of her stepmother. When she gets old, she decides to work in a rug factory against her father's will. After working there for a few years, she joins a hostel as a cook. Along with her hotel duties she decides to take the hostel owner's daughter to Rupani Foundation's school. That is where her childhood dream comes true.

Very inspiring. That said, I do hope many of those women who have similar struggles see these documentaries and get strength from them. For if these documentaries can inspire those with the ability to help, and inspire those with access to f/b in general, it must surely inspire those women who need at the very least the moral support and such documentaries should therefore become more widely dispersed, Perhaps some broad-minded TV channels can be persuaded to screen them. Or the CSR of some large corporate may help sponsor the wider reach of these documentaries. may you inspire many on both sides: those inspired to help; and those inspired to continue their struggles for equal rights and dignity.
