Erin, you're stunning! And you're so well spoken and put together. My biggest regret is the C/Tilbury e/s palette in Golden Goddess. You have to REALLY work at it to make the colours appear. The e/s are nothing like how they market them! I'm with you 100%.
No need to apologize to anyone for a makeup or skincare product! They are so personal to everyone. What works for some will not work for others and of course share what works well and what is "average" or a complete" No" for you. It will help us make better decisions on some of what we purchase. Thanks for your honesty. I agree with a lot of your fails and regrets especially with the CT walk of no shame eye pot. It was such a disappointment, very little product for the price. It looked great online but in person, it lacked luster.
I love the Dior concealer. It’s my second favorite after Pat’s lol I’ve also had great customer service with By Terry and had no issues with returning. It’s amazing how it’s different for others.
Nobody should be angry about make up anyway! Even if they loved something in your list. I adore your channel and honesty. Loved this video, thanks! I have so many of the same feelings. PM Labs I got that same cardboard palette (my first also) I regret it. So I didn’t get the holiday stuff out the gate. I waited for reviews from many trusted favs, and I got the 2 quads. Then I caved and got the LARGE cardboard palette. I can say I LOVE THEM ALL!! So glad I have them in my collection. I’m obsessed with them. I want to say you will LOVE the quads and should get them. You won’t regret the blue one at all. Interstellar Icon & Risqué Rose. Erin, you look gorgeous in pink!:-) I like this kind of videos of fails and regrets. I have four of the products you mentioned. The Dior concealer works for me as a spot touch-up. I actually like the look I created with the CT blue palette, but I agree that the dark blue is not easy to work with, and it can be patchy. I took the PML palette with my on my trip, and I am glad I did because it's just perfect for travel. The quality is fine, but yes, it's another "pink" palette from PML, so it is definitely redundant if you have the other ones. The ND bronze Face Glow palette is pretty although I haven't reached for it as much as I would wish. I still hope I will use it more next summer season. I guess you're right it would look much prettier on somebody with deeper complexion. xx
Omg finally someone that doesn't like that Dior concealer! I also don't love the shade range and this looks SO greasy on me by the end of the day! Such a bummer because I like it initially but it just does not hold up on me and, as you said, creases terribly. Ugh! Well, at least I'm not alone haha!

I love how positive you are about negativity. i love product regret or product fail videos just because typically the person will say or show why it didnt work for them. If i see enough people saying a product isnt good then i wont purchase it. I totally understand when you said some things may not work for you but others may love it. Just like the natasha denona glam palette. Thats one of my go to palettes because i look good in cool neutral colors (even tho i pop in some glittery pink usually). Heck the stila eye liner was on tati’s worst of the year a few years back and i was like well thats my holy grail eyeliner. I guess i love crummy eyeliner but on the plus side i wont sell out! Lol

You (along with a few subscribers) just saved me from buying the By Terry foundation, I have been looking at it for a while and have been very close to make the purchase, so glad I've been stallin. I think i'll stick to Chanel and experiment whitin their foundations, if I need to try out something new.
Here in the UK we can't return any opened make up or skincare - wish we had the ability to, particularly at the moment with all the online shopping! By the way, your hair looks amazing in this video!
We can, I returned a bottle of foundation to YSL in House of Fraser a couple of years ago. It was when YSL reformulated their Touche Eclat foundation - I hated it so I returned it there was no problem getting a refund. Many years ago I returned some Dior loose powder at John Lewis as it oxidised on my skin when I used it.
Agree with you about wasting in general: I don’t mind spending more on luxury products if I enjoy & use them but if don’t, it doesn’t matter how much I’ve spent....wasting money simply infuriates me!

Love these type of video's, there are a few brands i don't know/can't get here to The Netherlands, but yes, did see negative reviews about the By Terry foundation, so i am happy to watch here first! Biggest failure of the entire year for me is the TF Arabesque quad, and we may not return here in Europe, so that was a waist! Who was that supposed to appeal to?? If you like makeup then you probably wouldn’t buy it, and I doubt anyone who doesn’t like makeup would use it either. I never understood that launch at all 🤷🏼♀️
I think my spouse would say we are encouraged to buy out of emotion. Which is one of the reasons I have not liked marketing & sales. The game is to convince us we NEED it. That is how they make money. What we need is food, clothing, and shelter. We don't really NEED makeup per say. Sometimes we buy to "feel" better or a slight high. I am noticing this to reevaluate my purchases. Kind of like that cat that likes to chase the shiney red laser pointer light. But it eludes us. We can never really catch that red spot of light.
Happy to see your opinion 😍 But the brow palette is quite popular in Asian countries. I'm also like it maybe it's so convinient and easy to bring around. I also argee with you about the wax, it's little bit disappointed but the powder is good (right shades of course)
I think these videos are very helpful. It is refreshing to hear someone talking about wasting money. Sometimes we need that reality check. The truth is so many of us have bought mediocre or terrible products either cause we saw a glowing review or it is a new release from a trusted brand. I also did not have luck with the Dior concealer. I returned mine. I would have prefered getting Divine Rose for $39 that it is now than the price I paid for it. Lol.
I returned the Rare Beauty highlighter too! I agree, it wasn't that great. Also, that Pat McGrath palette was on sale at Sephora and I debated purchasing it, but changed my mind and I'm glad I did!
Honesty is always the best policy. I think reasonable person will take into consideration that we are different. That being said, watching some other UA-camrs rave about a product. “This is the only product I use, I love the owner, blah, blah, blah”. Then they do an empties video and they do not use the product/products they’re hawking. I’m insulted that they think we are foolish enough to see what they are doing. Thanks for the honesty!
I love your videos because I'm from Brazil and here we don't have a lot a makeup brands as in USA so I really need to be sure about what I'm buying. We have very different makeup styles, I'm more into to no makeup kinda look (and that's why I love the Charlotte Tilbury lip & cheek glow) but everyone loves and need sgood quality, no matter the price or the style, and you are all about that! Really professional and informed videos.
Idea for the Dior concealer... since it's too light for you to use on its own, what if you use it as a mix-in to adjust any foundations you may have that are too dark? I'm with you...I hate wasting products so I'm always trying to use up whatever I can, even if I don't like the item!
I actually like the terry foundation but I use a radiance primer so it works well with it. I bought those Becca duo eyeshadow sticks! What a waste! Honestly, do more fail videos!! They are great!

This was a fun video to watch, thanks! I’m one of the rare birds who likes the Becca Zero. It’s really a fine product for oily skin. Through the controversy around the product, I’ve met other oily skinned women and we chuckled that we "get it." It holds back oil so well and mattifies the skin. I’m so oily I don’t even need moisturizer with it, just sunscreen, a dash of powder over it, some blusher or bronzer and I’m good to go for hours and hours. I agree that the Chanel Eau de Teint is a better product, but it also costs almost twice the money and therefore it should rightly be better. 😉
You are so right, the Dior concealer cracks and looks like a dry desert sitting under my eyes. It’s good to use in the nasal labia area but that’s it. The best concealers I use is Chanel 20 Beige or Sisley eclat concealer, both are fabulous looking all day.
Have you ever tried Sigma Beauty. They just offered a new palette, the Warm Neutrals. It looks beautiful. I have a few of the others and really enjoy the quality of the shadows.
I really liked this video. It's very fair and honest but not mean. I always appreciate your positivity and diplomacy when talking about make up that just didn't work for you. No major fails this year, but I was slightly disappointed in my Fenty lipsticks. The colors are great and they feel OK, not as hydrating as some of the Chanel or YSL lipsticks, but the Fenty packaging is so cheap and flimsy! Very disappointing!
You are so pretty and funny, LOL!🤩 "I hate it!' LOL 🤣🤣🤣 I was disappointed with Clinique"s mascara, that was the worse! It transferred everywhere! I looked like a spider 😓 I was also disappointed with Chanel matte lipstick. It wasn't the color but the transference of color and it dried my lips out. But I love their lip gloss, it is everything! I will stick with my go to's for eye shadow, Urban Decay, Dior, and Morphe.

Completely agree about the Dior concealer. I hated it! It creases and the colors are not good. I returned mine to Sephora after one use. I also bought the Gucci limited edition lipstick this summer that was a weird bright pink and I wish that I had returned that too! Thanks for the video! 😊

I think the whole Becca clear line was a complete failure If you don’t like to wear foundation. Concentrate on good skincare so you do not need coverage

I bought the CT blue eyeliner last month. And then I researched and found about the blue palette, sure enough it wasn’t available in November 2020. Thank God for that! The shadow swatch is horrible. The eyeliner is awesome though!
Michele Wang loves the Dior Forever Concealer as a light foundation and not specially as a concealer. That’s why I bought it and love it as a light foundation. Of course, your shade is too,light to use it in this manner.
Love the video! Would you say the rose PMcG palette is worth it if you’re wanting to test out the formula? I have yet to and was considering picking that palette up but don’t want to if the formula isn’t as good as other palettes :)
I think it is. I did a full review on it on my channel and did swatches and many looks with it. It's worth it if you want to test her formula its consistent with her bigger palettes. It is missing her special shades that are in her bigger palettes also so if you want to experience the special shades you may just want to bite the bullet and get one of those but personally the palette is worth it to me and it's one of my favorites
I personally love this palette. I tend to reach for it quite a bit. I like the larger Motherships but they tend to be a little overwhelming to me. This doesn't have her special shades but it's still beautiful and blends well.
I have recommended you on a few channels whenever people ask for a good makeup person. I think you should do some collabs to get more exposure. You really deserve it. Getting close to the magic 50,000 subscribers.
I do really like the Dior concealer- one of my faves, but I don’t use it under my eyes. I use cle de peau for eyes and this is one of my go to for face... now I wanna try it under the eye to see if it creases on me lol

Thanks for this. I figure there is always an upside and a downside so there's no harm in keeping it real. So many products are hyped up and it's nice to see objective opions. My disappointment was a single Pat McGrath eyeshadow that I bought. It was on sale so that was good but it was incredibly underwhelming. I found that I have very inexpensive shadows that have performed better. Not the end the world but there you have it.
I regret buying the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush bronzer in medium. Not enough color. I’m sure I need the tan, but since mask wearing and not really going anywhere I think I’ll hold off.
The CT blue palette looks like a major fail. It looked terrible when you swatched it. I'm happy to put some foundations on this list because I'm looking around for a foundation for my weird combo and very dry in places skin so at least I will know what to avoid.
I have dry skin underneath my eyes and on my face. I am 47. I struggle with most concealers, especially with concealers that provide coverage. The Dior concealer doesn’t crease on me. I also use the concealer on non make up days to spot conceal. If a concealer does crease, I spray a makeup sponge with Skindinavia or Urban Decay setting spray (or another brand) and blot my under eyes.
Feel the same about the Dior concealer plus I also had to exchange for a lighter shade to try to get it to work. Couldn’t get a shade match and would not blend. Just my opinion I have normal to dry skin. I can mix it with moisturizer and use as a touch up but disappointed

I think my spouse would say we are encouraged to buy out of emotion. Which is one of the reasons I have not liked marketing & sales. The game is to convince us we NEED it. That is how they make money. What we need is food, clothing, and shelter. We don't really NEED makeup per say. Sometimes we buy to "feel" better or a slight high. I am noticing this to reevaluate my purchases. Kind of like that cat that likes to chase the shiney red laser pointer light. But it eludes us. We can never really catch that red spot of light.

I think these videos are very helpful. It is refreshing to hear someone talking about wasting money. Sometimes we need that reality check. The truth is so many of us have bought mediocre or terrible products either cause we saw a glowing review or it is a new release from a trusted brand. I also did not have luck with the Dior concealer. I returned mine. I would have prefered getting Divine Rose for $39 that it is now than the price I paid for it. Lol.
I returned the Rare Beauty highlighter too! I agree, it wasn't that great. Also, that Pat McGrath palette was on sale at Sephora and I debated purchasing it, but changed my mind and I'm glad I did!

Honesty is always the best policy. I think reasonable person will take into consideration that we are different. That being said, watching some other UA-camrs rave about a product. “This is the only product I use, I love the owner, blah, blah, blah”. Then they do an empties video and they do not use the product/products they’re hawking. I’m insulted that they think we are foolish enough to see what they are doing. Thanks for the honesty!
I love your videos because I'm from Brazil and here we don't have a lot a makeup brands as in USA so I really need to be sure about what I'm buying. We have very different makeup styles, I'm more into to no makeup kinda look (and that's why I love the Charlotte Tilbury lip & cheek glow) but everyone loves and need sgood quality, no matter the price or the style, and you are all about that! Really professional and informed videos.
Idea for the Dior concealer... since it's too light for you to use on its own, what if you use it as a mix-in to adjust any foundations you may have that are too dark? I'm with you...I hate wasting products so I'm always trying to use up whatever I can, even if I don't like the item!
I actually like the terry foundation but I use a radiance primer so it works well with it. I bought those Becca duo eyeshadow sticks! What a waste! Honestly, do more fail videos!! They are great!

This was a fun video to watch, thanks! I’m one of the rare birds who likes the Becca Zero. It’s really a fine product for oily skin. Through the controversy around the product, I’ve met other oily skinned women and we chuckled that we "get it." It holds back oil so well and mattifies the skin. I’m so oily I don’t even need moisturizer with it, just sunscreen, a dash of powder over it, some blusher or bronzer and I’m good to go for hours and hours. I agree that the Chanel Eau de Teint is a better product, but it also costs almost twice the money and therefore it should rightly be better. 😉
You are so right, the Dior concealer cracks and looks like a dry desert sitting under my eyes. It’s good to use in the nasal labia area but that’s it. The best concealers I use is Chanel 20 Beige or Sisley eclat concealer, both are fabulous looking all day.
Have you ever tried Sigma Beauty. They just offered a new palette, the Warm Neutrals. It looks beautiful. I have a few of the others and really enjoy the quality of the shadows.

I really liked this video. It's very fair and honest but not mean. I always appreciate your positivity and diplomacy when talking about make up that just didn't work for you. No major fails this year, but I was slightly disappointed in my Fenty lipsticks. The colors are great and they feel OK, not as hydrating as some of the Chanel or YSL lipsticks, but the Fenty packaging is so cheap and flimsy! Very disappointing!

I looked like a spider 😓 I was also disappointed with Chanel matte lipstick. It wasn't the color but the transference of color and it dried my lips out. But I love their lip gloss, it is everything! I will stick with my go to's for eye shadow, Urban Decay, Dior, and Morphe.

Completely agree about the Dior concealer. I hated it! It creases and the colors are not good. I returned mine to Sephora after one use. I also bought the Gucci limited edition lipstick this summer that was a weird bright pink and I wish that I had returned that too! Thanks for the video! 😊

I agree, with your comments on the pop shade in the super blue palette. The first two shades are much better.
The first 2 shades look identical to the fire rose quad that just came out
@@AshleyLamora I will have to compare the quads, although from memory I think the prime shade in fire rose is a pinky colour rather than a gold in the super blue.
I agree with you on the CT and Becca products! The PML palette was surprisingly “average” too, it’s on sale at Sephora but it’s still not worth it.😅
I think the whole Becca clear line was a complete failure If you don’t like to wear foundation. Concentrate on good skincare so you do not need coverage

I bought the CT blue eyeliner last month. And then I researched and found about the blue palette, sure enough it wasn’t available in November 2020. Thank God for that! The shadow swatch is horrible. The eyeliner is awesome though!
Michele Wang loves the Dior Forever Concealer as a light foundation and not specially as a concealer. That’s why I bought it and love it as a light foundation. Of course, your shade is too,light to use it in this manner.
Love the video! Would you say the rose PMcG palette is worth it if you’re wanting to test out the formula? I have yet to and was considering picking that palette up but don’t want to if the formula isn’t as good as other palettes :)
I think it is. I did a full review on it on my channel and did swatches and many looks with it. It's worth it if you want to test her formula its consistent with her bigger palettes. It is missing her special shades that are in her bigger palettes also so if you want to experience the special shades you may just want to bite the bullet and get one of those but personally the palette is worth it to me and it's one of my favorites

I personally love this palette. I tend to reach for it quite a bit. I like the larger Motherships but they tend to be a little overwhelming to me. This doesn't have her special shades but it's still beautiful and blends well.
I have recommended you on a few channels whenever people ask for a good makeup person. I think you should do some collabs to get more exposure. You really deserve it. Getting close to the magic 50,000 subscribers.
I do really like the Dior concealer- one of my faves, but I don’t use it under my eyes. I use cle de peau for eyes and this is one of my go to for face... now I wanna try it under the eye to see if it creases on me lol

Thanks for this. I figure there is always an upside and a downside so there's no harm in keeping it real. So many products are hyped up and it's nice to see objective opions. My disappointment was a single Pat McGrath eyeshadow that I bought. It was on sale so that was good but it was incredibly underwhelming. I found that I have very inexpensive shadows that have performed better. Not the end the world but there you have it.
I regret buying the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush bronzer in medium. Not enough color. I’m sure I need the tan, but since mask wearing and not really going anywhere I think I’ll hold off.
The CT blue palette looks like a major fail. It looked terrible when you swatched it. I'm happy to put some foundations on this list because I'm looking around for a foundation for my weird combo and very dry in places skin so at least I will know what to avoid.

I have dry skin underneath my eyes and on my face. I am 47. I struggle with most concealers, especially with concealers that provide coverage. The Dior concealer doesn’t crease on me. I also use the concealer on non make up days to spot conceal. If a concealer does crease, I spray a makeup sponge with Skindinavia or Urban Decay setting spray (or another brand) and blot my under eyes.
Feel the same about the Dior concealer plus I also had to exchange for a lighter shade to try to get it to work. Couldn’t get a shade match and would not blend. Just my opinion I have normal to dry skin. I can mix it with moisturizer and use as a touch up but disappointed
