@@JohnnyBlaze_616 I don't know about hasbro, Mafex does have a very solid thor but my pick for best comic thor has to go to marvel select. The giant hammer swinging accessory was so cool that both hasbro and mafex ripped it off.
@@JohnnyBlaze_616Aesthetically, I prefer the Legends one, but as an action figure I prefer Mafex. The amount of accessories it comes with gives it more playability and the pose-ability is much better. Legs aren’t gummy and he can actually lean back and forth.
As someone who recently bought a Hasbro Fortnite figure, it amazes me how superior those tend to be in comparison to damn near every Mavel Legends figure I've ever seen. I have no idea what they're doing.
My high school colors were black and gold. Unfortunately gold isn't necessarily cheap, so quite often school merch was black and yellow instead, which can come off quite jarring if it isn't done properly. You saw that in a lot of merch, and in this figure too.
Black & Gold Black Panther (from the comics) is my favourite Black Panther look as well. Pity Hasbro could not translate the character‘s badass aesthetic from the pages of the comics to a tangible, three-dimensional, gummy PVC action figure. Vintage Hasbro! Eh, this figure might be worth picking up… that is, at a considerable discounted price. Grazie, 👍 Giovanni Marino, M.D.🇬🇧🇮🇹
I still have the Toybiz version of this figure. I was excited when thus was initially announced, but noticed how cheap looking this was in comparison to the Toybiz one. Bro...20+ years ago and Hasbro still hasn't produced a Black Panther figure better than what Toybiz did. THAT is pathetic.
One of my fave looks of any comic character, not just BP. And while I find the fig "acceptable" there are just so many half-axx measures with this, especially that pathetic plastic necklace and the unpainted alt hands.
Are you going to pick up the Revoltech Black Panther? The design is definitely not classic and much closer to the MCU, but it's also one of the cooler figures I've seen, and the articulation is vastly improved from the 1.0 Revoltech designs. I feel like pretty much every Hasbro figure of late pretty much fits the evaluation of "Meh, I guess I have one now".
The black and grey version from the Wakanda Forever line is almost the Same Figure with a shorter cape and no yellow/gold jewels! Captain America: Civil War made me excited for Black Panther who was just meh at that point to me as a character. The solo movie was good… until the final VFX Disaster of a final fight! Should have kept the fight as real as possible! That’s what made his first appearance SoOo Dang Good!
This is so disappointing. This is my very favorite look for Black Panther and I’ve been dying for a new version of it. When I saw the pictures I was like, “Well, maybe I can paint the gold parts myself” but the rest is just meh too. Might just play clearance chicken with this one. Also, unrelated to this video, are you planning to do a review of Mafex Magneto? I’m curious of your thoughts on it. I know you don’t do Mafex regularly.
Q of the Day: I’m still partial to the 70s Navy Blue Panther with the lines on his boots and gloves. I’m also partial to Navy Blue Bolt and Navy Blue Widow.
Anthony, I want you please to confirm this please! I've noticed most Marvel Legends have a longer leg than the other or idk what it is, cause I've been having problems standing them up and they tend to lean to their right. I have this issue with Captain America 20th Anniversary Black Panther gray and black from Wakanda Forever Classic Loki from the Vintage Collection And now the Vision from this same wave! Is so annoying cause they can't even stand in vanilla pose.
When that happens with Legends it's usually just a qc issue with one of the pegs. I mention it when i review a figure with that problem. None recently though
@@suhtangwong Definitely not true. It usually depends on the brand when it comes to the short and stubby look. The Ultra Street Fighter II versions of Ryu and Ken suffer that...(really the only figures I know of that suffer that) But all of their King of Fighters figures are spot on from what they are referencing. The Tekken ones also are really good, with Jin being the only one with an oddly sized head. I think you are judging the line based on a small minority of figures tbh. Also, Mafex shows you that people will absolutely pay $100+ if the quality is there. With Storm, you get more bang for your buck than Mafex anyways. Imagine getting a Mega Optic Blast effect with Cyclops! Bro....
This used to be my favorite and it was the look i was first exposed to. But after the JRJR miniseries and EMH, the classic, or I guess neo classic, look became my favorite. I was decently happy with the last release. After the training suit Xmen having keyed straps, the loose bracelets are just insulting.
This is my favourite look for Black Panther, but the unpainted yellow plastic just looks awful. It's not even a hard paint job to do, Hasbro are just that lazy and cheap. The cape not being removable sucks too given how heavy it is (definitely feel like you're right about the plastic used btw). I was thinking about getting this guy, but I'm gonna stick to the recent Black Panther. The way the cape is done ruins this for me.
A cape, especially one with a massive collar that impedes his sight, makes no sense for an agile character. I prefer the stripped back version sans cape and with blue boots and gloves. At this point I'd be happy if Jada got the Legends licence, or maybe made their own superhero figs. Without a licence they could make em even cheaper.
We can't take the cape off and it keeps coming out of the peg... Yeah, Idk how to actually handle him except to have him on the shelf... Otherwise, his cape maybe torn apart lolllm
Yeah I Strongly Agree it’s Like Hasbro Wanted To get This Classic Royal Black Panther Figure Over With Which is one of the reasons they didn’t put no effort into this potential release Ridiculous!
First I noticed it on Angel... but now can't stop seeing how oversized their open hands are, Angels hands look bigger than his head. On this one it brings his fingers half way down his leg.
I sorta like the character design, but that design with the claws and all that came in long after I stopped reading. I'm a 60's, 70's and partial 80's reader. As for the yellow vs. gold color, I have the opposite complaint. I HATE, absolutely DESPISE that nasty mustard yellow "gold" they used for Nova. It looks so dull and boring on the shelf. I want the COMIC BOOK characters, so I want the colors to POP! And this Black Panther certainly does pop! I also don't mind him not having a blue wash because Hasbro always screws that up anyway, and an all-black Black Panther with popping yellow armored parts just looks dynamic to me.
Is it the greatest black panther figure??? No! Of course not but as someone who’s building an avenger display…I will be grabbing this one I might take that cape off or cut it short and do the same to the collar
My favorite look is the one form the Reginald Hall series. John Romira Jr did the art for him. Thankfully the first Black Panther from the Attuma Wave matches that look so I don’t need this one. That said, this figure looks cheap and boring as all hell. Even the gold pieces look clunky and not really gold. Don’t really see the point in having this.

I don't hate Vision..I mean he is okay. I needed one. But when you compare him to Dimond selects Vision, I can see how Vision could have been better. I don't have Namor yet. But something about his face looks off. But that's just me being comic-picky. The worst is Namorita. I'm not even going to count the fact it is the wrong version of her to use for those who want to finish New Warriors. And sadly that goes for Vance. People need the Marvel Boy version. Not the Justice version.
