This Will Make Axe Snobs Furious - Comparing Axes for Splitting

I took out my two biggest axes to do a little comparison while doing some firewood splitting and the results were surprising. I definitely have a lot to learn about splitting firewood by hand, and could use a bit more practice. But that being said the cheaper True Temper axe took a beating and never thought twice, while the much more expensive Council (Best Made Co) felling axe just couldn't handle the overstrike.
