Thanks Liz!! You never fail to make me lol! Your wool applique Joy pillow is just beautiful! I get your nostalgia and actually made the exact same two Christmas stockings for my husband and I back in the early 90's when the patterns first came out. All these years later, they still make us smile! Love your mom's Christmas List! Thanks as always and happy stitching!
You are the best! Totally enjoy every moment of your videos! Can’t wait for more wedding plan details!! What an exciting time for you! Enjoy every moment! Blessings!

Love seeing your quilting projects as well! I just love spending time listening to you. And yes all the way til the end when you get especially silly. You make me smile.
As always love your floss tube time! I get that 90’s vibe excitement. I stitched pretty hard in the 90’s and yes it’s vintage with me lol. I love those lavender and lace charts by Marilyn Leavitt Inblum. They’re so sweet. Good job on the wool.
Another fab video. Your Lady Bird fabric reminded me of my visit to Redwoods National Park in June this year. Keep smiling and laughing because it looks great on you!
You are so much fun to watch. This week my husband was like - hasn’t it been a while since you have watched your Texan cross stitcher (lol that’s how he knows you). Love your stitching :)
I so agree with you on flying. Not my favorite thing to do, but I love going places. Also during turbulence I close my eyes and think I'm just on a bumpy road. Love your wool appliqué pillow!
Glad you had a good time in Vegas 😀great photos 🥰 can’t wait to see your wedding dress in the future and Sparkle Fancy is the best word 😂your joy pillow is gorgeous! Love your plan for Candycorn pillow x
Love all your projects. I adore the Ladybird fabrics. I know exactly what you mean about turbulence, I am the same way. I wished we lived closer we could be stitching buddies. Can't wait till your next flosstube.
Wool appliqué is very addicting! Primitive Gatherings has cute wool kits. I need to do some time management so I can do my wool appliqué projects, my cross stitch projects and my quilting projects. Love your videos - they are so much fun!
Her(Lisa Bonjean) book, Wool, Needle and Thread, is a great book for instructions and projects. Your “impractical” pillow looks very pretty. I took a class this summer and now I have all of the supplies😳 but I haven’t started a project yet.!

Liz you are always a joy to watch… you have a brightness about you! For someone who is working full time and planning a wedding you get an amazing amount of beautiful projects done. You cracked me up today about your airplane turbulence story and the “tin can in the air” lol! That’s exactly how I feel when I fly too. Since you mentioned Lisa Bongean, I’m going to assume you know about her company, Primitive Gatherings. As a Wisconsin quilter and stitcher I’m proud to recommend a great Wisconsin based company that carries all kinds of quilting and wool work goodies.
Thank you!! I'm definitely making the most of my zero social life because of this pandemic 😂 and yes, I have looked through the Primitive Gatherings shop! They have some beautiful things!
😂😂😂 You had me laughing out loud with the thoughts that run through your mind when your flight hits a pocket of turbulence! I too rethink every decision that brought me to strapping myself into a flimsy seat bolted to the floor of a sofa can hurtling through the sky! 😂😂😂 Thank you for the quality craft information and your stream of thoughts on any given subject that involves life on this big blue marble called Earth. You never fail to educate, amuse, and hold me enthralled with each FlossTube video. And I sincerely thank you!
Love your haul and stitching. You made me pull out my wool appliqué again and start another project I don’t need to do 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I hope you film how you created your wool projects
Gotta a great idea for you...do a wool appliqué on your Christmas quilt you will make like your Kitty corn quilt! That would look amazing! Enjoy your videos !
Great job with your wool appliqué. I decided to begin my wool appliqué journey with blackbird designs the Raven BOM. Silly me! I should have started with a small like you instead of a quilt! Love all your projects. Enjoy seeing your videos.
First of all, GENIUS using your iPad for a light box!!!! Second, congrats on making progress with “big” wedding planning things!! Third, thank you?? I am totally ordering some Satsuma Street ornaments!! Have a great week!💚
That pillow is so cute! Had to get that and of course found adorable ornaments I had to get with it. I’m working on my first wool piece and am really enjoying it!
I have bought wool appliqué kits from Shabby Fabrics and they are really pretty when finished, their instructions are amazing which really helped me a lot when I first started doing them! Love how your small pillow turned out it’s darling❤️🩹 moms piece is so pretty framed and I love the red frame you picked it’s perfect for it!! I like michaels frame choices most of the time and I do what you do and actually frame my things myself! So happy your wedding plans are coming along and you found your venue!! Destination weddings are so fun💕
Oh my gosh. Thank you for the laughs. You are a JOY to watch and I love your new wool pillow. Congratulations on a successful wedding planning trip. I look forward to when you can share the day with us. Love all that your stitching. I'm ready for some Christmas as well. I'm in south Florida. We do not have state income tax either but, like TX, we have increased property tax and the homeowner's insurance is insane! The real estate market is off the charts everywhere but certainly more so in some areas than others.
So happy that your Vegas trip went well. Your joy pillow was adorable. One more new craft...LOL. Just what you need as you plan a wedding! Craft therapy. Your mom's piece looked great. The red did bring out the color in it. Keep stitching
Omg… I always can count on a good laugh when I watch you 😂💖😂. Still dying over the “practical pillow”! Lol!! Loved the vid as usual! And got the “My Christmas List” after seeing your mom’s!!!
Loved seeing everything you were working on! I've kind of lost my mojo in recent months and you certainly inspired me! Can't wait for the next. Hugs from Belgium x
Another wonderful video! Loved your finishes….the wool pillow is so cute. I had turbulence on a flight once that made me close my eyes and think the same things you mentioned…..until I heard a bunch of kids behind me saying, “weeeee…..weeeee” …..it’s all a matter of perspective. I loved seeing your happy mail and haul. Have a great couple of weeks. Blessings and take care.
When my daughter got married years ago, I made the ringbearer’s pillow. it was all white and a combination of crossstitch and silk ribbons and beads. I loosely made it into a pillow so that it was easy to take apart. I got it framed for them and stitched little corners in the center portion where we put a wedding picture of them. It was the prettiest thing I’ve ever made. I’ve got Sue Hillis’ Study in Blue which makes a blue sewing box. I’ve got the paper mache box but haven’t stitched it.
I always enjoy your videos. You get so excited about things. It is fun to watch. Happy you had a successfull trip to the wedding planner. it is important that you like her. Good luck with the dresses. You will find one that you will love and that will be that Thank you for sharing all you do.
Hi Liz, I do sell my cards as a matter of fact. And the picture on the floss drops is not one of mine but reminded me of the Alaska trip I took with my husband for our 25th wedding anniversary. Thanks for the mention! It was so exciting to hear my name and see my card on youtube! Another fun video!
I'm vintage, thank you (lol). I started my teenage years in the 80's. I would never have been interested in CS in the 80's. I'm so thankful for the current selection of patterns or I would never have started this hobby. I love wool applique too. Some of my favorite designers are Kathy Brown's The Teachers Pet, Cath's Pennies Designs, and on Etsy, Mom & I.
Hello Liz, thanks for the awesome visit…I have used my IPad as a light box with the music playing…your mother did a great job stitching SCS Christmas Rules and you did a great job selecting a frame and framing the pattern….loved the BMB Joy pillow…and everything else you showed…I hope your wedding plans are easy…just remember that you need a groom, a minister and two witnesses…to make everything official…one of our witnesses disappeared to mess with the car and the minister kept saying you are not legally married☹️ at the reception all evening…I am happy you are heading in the right direction for your beautiful dress…and the quilt & pillow pattern and material were fantastic…wishing you joy and happy stitching Liz✂️🧵🪡🔆❤️
Wool applique looks so fun and cute! May have to check out some of the places in the comments and give it a try. Enjoy seeing all your stitching adventures!
Hi Liz, I love your mom’s Christmas finish and I love your wool pillow. All the stitching and quilting you showed is amazing. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Vegas. I hope you have a great week!
Oh my goodness such a great video , you are amazing with all your projects. The tutorials you provide for us are wonderful and love the haul section. You know I'm off to find that Kathy Barrick chart like right now. Thanks again for doing these videos I know they must take a lot of time but we (I) love them. Happy Stitching!
Your wool applique is so cute! I have a chart for a little wool turkey I'm hoping to make before Thanksgiving, but I haven't tried applique yet. I'm glad you had a good trip and that your wedding preparations are starting to come together!
Thanks Helen!! Its super fun with how quick it goes compared to cross stitch! The fiddliest part for me was getting everything ironed down in the correct spot
Glad you had fun in Vegas! Michelle Farm Girl had some really really cute wool projects on her new flosstube. I have so many cross stitch projects I want to do this year. Maybe next year I’ll start a wool project.
Great video, really enjoyed it. I don't like to fly. Turbulence is the worst, i grab onto my chair the whole time 😅 but if I want to visit my mom I have 3 planes to catch from Spain to Vegas! Ugh! I always stick in a visit to Stitcher's Paradise when I'm there.Your kitty quilt is fabulous! Love all your projects! Glad your wedding plans are moving along! Until next time, happy crafting. 🙂
I love the Kitty Corn line of fabric--so cute! I made my granddaughter a little doll quilt, and a blanket for my kitty. Love yours, Liz. Oh my gosh, those Sue Hillis little boxes are adorable. I may need to get those. Love all of your stitching, and your quilts, and of course, now your little wool project. Have a wonderful week! Diane
Congrats on the wedding planning! Your kitty corn quilt turned out so cute! Love your stitching. I am going to Las Vegas in December, can’t wait to visit Stitchers Paradise!
The Joy pillow is absolutely fabulous, is there anything you can't do, you're so talented and so much fun to watch! I can't wait to see how the Kitty Corn pillow turns out! Have a Great Week!
There is more than 6 of us watching you giggle at the end. Love the Joy pillow I ordered mine when I saw yours last video and run out to check to see when it would be shipping. It's so "stinking cute" as you say...... Hugs from Minnesota
Hi Liz! Thanks for your tips on the wool appliqué. Your joy piece is absolutely adorable! I am ready to jump down that rabbit hole with you I think! Not that we need another hobby… Right? I am also getting more into quilting, so your show is perfect with your variety of crafts. That is so smart to use your iPad for a light box! Not sure I would have thought of that. But I have a light box, so I am OK there. I had not seen that winter wonderland Pattern! Must have…!
What fun you had! Wedding planning can be so exciting and I'm so happy for you two! Loved your wool Joy pillow. What a great finish! Your mom's Silver Creek Christmas List finished up and I love it! We all have light boxes and didn't even know it! Go figure. Brilliant idea! Cannot wait to see your kitty corn pillow.
Omg, Texas money chat 🤣🤣🤣 - I was laughing so hard! When we bought our condo here, I was talking to my mom’s best friend, who was a realtor in Houston and told her the property tax amount and she was like “no, that has to be wrong!” It wasn’t - they all get you one way or the other! Love your pillow and see you enabled my mom to buy one!
I laugh every time I watch your video. I love it. Can't wait to hear more about your wedding. Primitive Gatherings has wool applique kits. Have a great week, Sparkle Fancy!!
You are so fun, I was in a blue mood today and you always make me happy and laugh. And you know what I love that you start your stitches from right to left! If I didn't like living at the beach in NC, I would move and we could stitch, quilt and laugh together! Need to find a zoom stitch friend, right??? Take care and grace and peace dear friend....
Glad to hear the Vegas trip was a success! (I’m not a great flyer, and I’ve traveled loads.) Love the current projects, and the wool appliqué! I ordered and have rec’d one with pumpkins and a crow, I can’t wait to dive in on it. Love the matching candy corn pillow too! Hope you have a good week! Happy Stitching!!
Joy fits you perfectly! I hate flying too - especially take off & landing! & yes the UA-A&M game was AU-some! (I’m an Auburn alumna & was a Texas A&M fan Saturday 🤣)
You might try Farm Girl Dry Goods, Primitive Gatherings, The Old Tattered Flag, or The Woolen Needle for more wool kits. Your “impractical “ pillow is so cute. Who says everything we make has to have a purpose? Half the fun is figuring out what you are going to do with something handmade.
I love your idea about using the charm pack for a Christmas 4 patch quilt....just an idea but you could put a wool applique on it by enlarging JOY and stitching it on.....just a thought...love ya
I love your wool appliqué. I have one from Cottonwood Creations, it’s a Halloween called Little Monster. It’s so cute. I picked it up in a Massachusetts quilt shop. Happy 🧵🪡
Glad your Vegas trip was successful. My husband and I got married there 42 years ago. Guess it took!!😂 The Joy pillow is adorable. Another craft to add to the mix!!
Glad you had a marvelous time, such a grand time before the wedding, Enjoy. I also don’t need another hobby but I am willing to try the wool Joy pillow you finished. What a stunning piece, perfect. Thank you for inspiring a senior to try something new at this age. Who knew?😆😆
Someone has probably already mentioned Shabby Fabrics to you. They have very nice wool projects and videos. They have a whole series of mug mats which are really cute and other decorative items. Oops, I shouldn't have stopped video to tell you because you just mentioned them.
Wool appliqué is fun and forgiving. Your Joy pillow is very cute! If you haven’t tried Soft Fuse I highly recommend it. Carol, Saltbox Stitcher, did a wool appliqué tutorial and has shared some of her wool appliqué quilts. So glad your wedding planning is going well!
I have also taken up wool appliqué and have that same Joy pillow kit - must now start working on it as so cute. (Must admit that still laughing about that state fair judge's comment on little pillows!) Another great place for wool is Primitive Gatherings! Their wool subscription box is amazing!
Lovely FFO of your mum's piece. Glad you enjoyed Vegas. It's great you hired the right wedding planner. It will be less stressful for you. Enjoy the wedding dress search. Stay safe Liz ❤

LOVE the wool pillow!! I may need to check that craft out, with a cute pattern! Thanks! Glad you had a nice trip, and glad you're back!
Such a gorgeous wool pillow. Thanks for always inspiring us🤗
Must have…!
THE JOY PILLOW IS PRECIOUS! And I love hearing about the wedding dress shopping. #sparklefancy
Thank you Jenny!! I just want to be a sparkle fancy pony on my big day
You are seriously so funny!!! Love watching you!!!
Hi Liz, your moms FFO is gorgeous! Glad you had a nice trip. love the charts you picked out I really want that Sue Hillis Christmas pattern too!
Yes! I was pretty proud of my light box hack! Thank you!
Sounds like you had productive trip. My niece gets married Saturday. Love aLl your finishes and WIPS. THE HAULS are cute.
Have a great week, Sparkle Fancy!!
hehehe
Happy Stitching!!
ooh cute can't wait to see your finish on the pumpkins!
Joy fits you perfectly! I hate flying too - especially take off & landing! & yes the UA-A&M game was AU-some! (I’m an Auburn alumna & was a Texas A&M fan Saturday 🤣)
haha, I was glad to not have a dog in that fight though its always fun to root against Alabama 😂
Look at log cabin stitchers on floss tubes on wool.
Can’t wait to hear ideas for a ring bearer pillow - I need to make one as well. Hopefully, stitcher’s share lots of ideas!! 💕
Sounds like your mini trip was fun.
Love your Kitty Korn wallhanging.
Funny story about the impractical pillow, what planet do they live on! 😆

The Sue Hillis Christmas box is right up my alley. I'm headed over to Carla's shop to order it!! Have fun wedding dress shopping!
Who knew?😆😆
Enjoy it! Its so much fun!
Yes I want to try out some soft fuse!
Watch it. Wool applique is addicting also. Love it too.
I have also taken up wool appliqué and have that same Joy pillow kit - must now start working on it as so cute. (Must admit that still laughing about that state fair judge's comment on little pillows!) Another great place for wool is Primitive Gatherings! Their wool subscription box is amazing!
I know! When is a cross stitch pillow ever practical??
Lovely FFO of your mum's piece. Glad you enjoyed Vegas. It's great you hired the right wedding planner. It will be less stressful for you. Enjoy the wedding dress search. Stay safe Liz ❤
Yes! Thank you!
