I personally don't ship Lei with Shancai because he clearly still loves Jing. Even though Si was Violent against Shancai in the begining he totally changed afterwards. Lets not forget the amount of times Si saved Shancai especially the time where he was beaten up and couldn't fight back otherwise they would've killed Shancai, and the other time when they were in Canada and Si went to find Shancai in the Snow Storm. Si would literally do anything to protect Shancai.

to everyone saying this relationship was toxic, it was a bit toxic at first , but especially in this version, he changes tremendously, and unlike most movies, this romance takes it times to evolve and the lead only wins the girl after he's molded himself into a better man with his determination and love for her. Such that, when they do get together, its not toxic anymore since he's variably changed and the heroine changes him for the better . It doesn't support toxic relationships, it just proves that even the most volatile relationships can evolve over time with effort and grow into something very mature. Nah me too. I HATE ADMITTING IT since the Japanese drama is practically my childhood, but this was better. No crazy bullying of a crazy school. Wasn't really a RICH VS POOR thing. F4 feel more like close friends in a team then any other version. Romance is adorable. Dao Ming Si character development is spot on.
The only factors I can think Hana Yori Dango beats Meteor Garden (without me being biased from nostalgia) is that the flow made more sense and the girl isn't indecisive where th guy constantly has to ask her if she really likes him, they both already confirm it halfway through the series and admitting her love for him isn't difficult for her (which makes more sense because she's meant to he a character whose always true to her heart)

There's a copyrighted version in Hindi that people don't know about. It's called Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan and they changed F4 to Fab5 and made little adjustments like that.

I just finished watching the entire drama like an hour ago and I’ll just say this show went beyond my expectations. The cast, characters, ost, locations, EVERYTHING is just stuck in my mind! I don’t understand how I’ll get over this drama, this is a masterpiece and I highly recommend it! This is coming from a person who had been trying to watch it for a year and always found ep 1 weird and boring. Spoiler: the drama is AMAZING.
Yes, from episode 1 I couldn't tell that it will all be so interesting. I hated Daoming Si or Dylan's character at first. Thought he was too intense and rude but I came to love him and respect him later

Well...3 years ago i was so excited watching this trailer and waiting for it to release. I can clearly remember that I can't sleep because of this .. Then now 2021, i came back again and the feelings i felt during those times are still there. Meteor Garden is really part of life already and i will always back here to reminisce those moments i had while watching it.
I could watch Dylan Wang read the list of ingredients of every single item in a grocery store and still be entertained. Just look at him. The beautiful, talented creature.

Oh god... I already finished watching this a year ago, and I saw this on my recommendations. I gave me the feels. 😂😭😂 Watching Meteor Garden was a emotional rollercoaster. I loved every second of that series. I couldn't even stop binge watching until I finished the end. And believe me, I cried most of the whole thing. I love Meteor Garden. It's one of best Asian Dramas I've ever watched.
It irks me so much that people are acting like Boys Over Flowers is the original....no honey, the storyline of poor girl makino and the infamous f4 is taken from a Japanese manga called "Hana Yori Dango."

Alot of people are saying that the other versions were better than this one but I think all of us are attached to the older versions because of nostalgia. I am a fan of Japanese version because that was the first Japanese drama I watched so def it is irreplaceable in my heart. But by far this version had the most good looking cast, good chemistry, less bullying and less drama, more funny scenes best costumes, really good music and above all a better daoming si. Daoming si is supposed to be hot headed aggressive and at the same time really cool. But Dylan wang added a boyish and silly element to this character which mAde this character 100 times more adorable to watch. Considering his non acting background, him being only 18 at the time and this being his debut, he really did a good job. The best thing they did is they stuck to the same storyline and didn't made big changes. People are loving the story line since 1995
💯 totally agree with you. Dylan's silly and boyish charm was so fresh and yet so perfect for the Dao Ming Si character. He was also effortlessly cool yet youthful. Dylan was probably the most naturally Dao Ming Si of them all (he rocks the pineapple hair like none othef) and he didn't seem like a caricature. He's like manga Tsukasa, and he never loses his quirk until the end. He instantly became my fave.

Second, Grandma Yu is my favorite her words made me cry. And lastly The writers on this should be applauded for such a great love story..The cast is extremely beautiful inside the and out...❤❤❤❤
All the casts are perfect for their roles especially the main characters daoming si and shancai. A beautiful story with all the love angles, not just rich guy poor girl story. It’s a beautiful version of the manga series. Chemistry of the main casts is perfect and therefore worth watching during this pandemic time. I hope daoming si and shancai will have another drama to look forward to.
I fell in love with it! Seeing them cry, love, suffer, laugh and grow... i felt everything!!!! So much talent. I'm over 20 years old, but watching this show was like beeing in love again. Thank you for bringing so much joy and warmth in my heart!

Although Hana Yori Dango, Meteor Garden 2001 and Boys Over Flowers are all based in the same manga they have their differences. Watching this version based in this time where there’s social media and phones everywhere is so refreshing. And this one is like a mashup from those 3 versions. It’s so good. I admire every version because they are unique in their own way. The main couple is so cute and Dylan is such a dork. I’m in love with this drama. If a remake of the other versions is made I will definitely watch it.
I have watched it til episode 25, and omg I just wanna say that this remake makes me so happy. Some people might say that the plotline is dumb, but the Taiwanese and Korean version were my childhood, and it makes me really happy to experience it all again. The main characters are all very good actors, they're all very pretty and handsome, and the off screen interactions are soo cute that it makes my heart flutter 💖 Shen Yue is so smol and cute, I think she really did a great job portraying Shancai! Dylan Wang look dominant, but acts cute and childish when he's with Shancai, and that's just the cutests thing ever 💗 Darren Chen, of course, is so handsome, and his backstory is really sad as always, I hope he'd find happiness T.T Caesar Wu and Connor Liong are both so handsome too?? Bungtan i watched the 1990s Japanese version, the Taiwanese version (my fave), the Japanese versio. (2000+) but havent got the guts to watch the Korean version. I think there's also an Indian version of this. I'm not pretty sure if there's a Thai version... 😁😁 and oh the anime version too haha

All Hana Yori Dango versions usually ends when they get married because that's when the original manga ends. If they have a season 2 it will be an original story and could end up a dumpster fire like 13RW
This version is already far exceeding my expectations. They were not afraid to incorporate scenes from the original that other versions didn't do. Also they changed around a few things ever so slightly to surprise the fans. Can't wait for more!
I started to watch this show 2 weeks ago because I had nothing to watch, and honestly I expected nothing. But it was everything I could ever hope for. Everyday I was so excited to watch it in the evening and I had to slow myself down because i didn’t want to finish it too soon. I have only 5 episodes left and I don’t want it to end. Srsly no other show has ever gave me these type of feelings. When they were happy, I was happy. When they cried, I cried as well. I fell in love with all of the characters and their development. Literally this will be my favorite show ever😭
i feel like this is one of the most favored amongst the remakes and the original because the cast really brings the closeness of the characters and they do it so easily because they are just as close in real life
From the looks of this trailer, this modern revival won't be able to top the original but I am so glad that another generation will be able to experience the rollercoaster of emotions brought on by the *spoiler alert* daomingsi-shancai-huaze love triangle! This version shancai is beautiful, less clumsy , and very strong Shen Yue nailed Dong Shancai!! And Daoming Si was a childish brat at the beginning but his childhood was really heartbreaking. The way he changes himself for Shancai was speechless. Dylan Wang is the only Daoming Si for me!!

In the other adaptations they made him more of an extreme bully when really he's just a little childish and stuff like in this version. out of all adaptations this is by far one of the best tbh. I've seen almost all of them and this one is safe to say that the lead deserves the girl because he genuinely loves her

to everyone saying this relationship was toxic, it was a bit toxic at first , but especially in this version, he changes tremendously, and unlike most movies, this romance takes it times to evolve and the lead only wins the girl after he's molded himself into a better man with his determination and love for her. Such that, when they do get together, its not toxic anymore since he's variably changed and the heroine changes him for the better . It doesn't support toxic relationships, it just proves that even the most volatile relationships can evolve over time with effort and grow into something very mature.

Nah me too. I HATE ADMITTING IT since the Japanese drama is practically my childhood, but this was better. No crazy bullying of a crazy school. Wasn't really a RICH VS POOR thing. F4 feel more like close friends in a team then any other version. Romance is adorable. Dao Ming Si character development is spot on.

The only factors I can think Hana Yori Dango beats Meteor Garden (without me being biased from nostalgia) is that the flow made more sense and the girl isn't indecisive where th guy constantly has to ask her if she really likes him, they both already confirm it halfway through the series and admitting her love for him isn't difficult for her (which makes more sense because she's meant to he a character whose always true to her heart)

There's a copyrighted version in Hindi that people don't know about. It's called Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan and they changed F4 to Fab5 and made little adjustments like that.

I just finished watching the entire drama like an hour ago and I’ll just say this show went beyond my expectations. The cast, characters, ost, locations, EVERYTHING is just stuck in my mind! I don’t understand how I’ll get over this drama, this is a masterpiece and I highly recommend it! This is coming from a person who had been trying to watch it for a year and always found ep 1 weird and boring. Spoiler: the drama is AMAZING.

Then now 2021, i came back again and the feelings i felt during those times are still there. Meteor Garden is really part of life already and i will always back here to reminisce those moments i had while watching it.

Watching Meteor Garden was a emotional rollercoaster. I loved every second of that series. I couldn't even stop binge watching until I finished the end. And believe me, I cried most of the whole thing. I love Meteor Garden. It's one of best Asian Dramas I've ever watched.

Alot of people are saying that the other versions were better than this one but I think all of us are attached to the older versions because of nostalgia. I am a fan of Japanese version because that was the first Japanese drama I watched so def it is irreplaceable in my heart. But by far this version had the most good looking cast, good chemistry, less bullying and less drama, more funny scenes best costumes, really good music and above all a better daoming si. Daoming si is supposed to be hot headed aggressive and at the same time really cool. But Dylan wang added a boyish and silly element to this character which mAde this character 100 times more adorable to watch. Considering his non acting background, him being only 18 at the time and this being his debut, he really did a good job. The best thing they did is they stuck to the same storyline and didn't made big changes. People are loving the story line since 1995

💯 totally agree with you. Dylan's silly and boyish charm was so fresh and yet so perfect for the Dao Ming Si character. He was also effortlessly cool yet youthful. Dylan was probably the most naturally Dao Ming Si of them all (he rocks the pineapple hair like none othef) and he didn't seem like a caricature. He's like manga Tsukasa, and he never loses his quirk until the end. He instantly became my fave.

Omgaw!!!! I just finished watching this movie on Netflix.. First off I'm obsessed with Daomingi Si fashion, and wish I knew the store and if they Carry ladies outfits. Second, Grandma Yu is my favorite her words made me cry. And lastly The writers on this should be applauded for such a great love story..The cast is extremely beautiful inside the and out...❤❤❤❤
All the casts are perfect for their roles especially the main characters daoming si and shancai. A beautiful story with all the love angles, not just rich guy poor girl story. It’s a beautiful version of the manga series. Chemistry of the main casts is perfect and therefore worth watching during this pandemic time. I hope daoming si and shancai will have another drama to look forward to.

Although Hana Yori Dango, Meteor Garden 2001 and Boys Over Flowers are all based in the same manga they have their differences. Watching this version based in this time where there’s social media and phones everywhere is so refreshing. And this one is like a mashup from those 3 versions. It’s so good. I admire every version because they are unique in their own way. The main couple is so cute and Dylan is such a dork. I’m in love with this drama. If a remake of the other versions is made I will definitely watch it.

I have watched it til episode 25, and omg I just wanna say that this remake makes me so happy. Some people might say that the plotline is dumb, but the Taiwanese and Korean version were my childhood, and it makes me really happy to experience it all again. The main characters are all very good actors, they're all very pretty and handsome, and the off screen interactions are soo cute that it makes my heart flutter 💖 Shen Yue is so smol and cute, I think she really did a great job portraying Shancai! Dylan Wang look dominant, but acts cute and childish when he's with Shancai, and that's just the cutests thing ever 💗 Darren Chen, of course, is so handsome, and his backstory is really sad as always, I hope he'd find happiness T.T Caesar Wu and Connor Liong are both so handsome too?? Like omg where did the director find these handsome people?😂 I spent the last few days fangirling over Dylan×Shen Yue behind the scenes cute videos, and actually I am making a fanart rn 💖💖💖

This version shancai is beautiful, less clumsy , and very strong Shen Yue nailed Dong Shancai!! And Daoming Si was a childish brat at the beginning but his childhood was really heartbreaking. The way he changes himself for Shancai was speechless. Dylan Wang is the only Daoming Si for me!!
Don't forget that those 2 main characters was pattern from the originals.. I aggre,they did justice to asi and sanchai's character..

i love this version even though its similar to other versions, its unique in its own way and it has a lot of different scenarios that wasn't included in other versions that makes this so much more better. I would highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the series or manga

In the other adaptations they made him more of an extreme bully when really he's just a little childish and stuff like in this version. out of all adaptations this is by far one of the best tbh. I've seen almost all of them and this one is safe to say that the lead deserves the girl because he genuinely loves her
