Everyone's talking about how handsome dylan wang is. Can we please talk about his terrific performance in the drama? I used to feel extremely bad whenever shancai used to cry. But there were 2 episodes in which daoming si cried and man I was literally sobbing. There were times I cried the entire episode just looking at how sad ah si was. I fell in love with this character and that is because Dylan gave this character justice. Considering this was his debut and he has no acting background, he did a really good job. He is a natural actor
This is the first drama that has ever made me go through such an extremely heartwarming, heart wrenching, beautiful, painful, and extensive roller coaster of emotions. I will remember this drama forever. The acting is just so amazing. I could really feel what each character went through. The character development of Ah Si was insane and so beautiful to watch, he was always a good guy but he truly became more mature in the end. I will forever love Dao Ming Si and Dong Shan Cai together. Their relationship is unforgettably spectacular. ❤️😍😭
The part where Damoing si was chasing her from the bus really had me crying, i really thought he gave up but he couldn’t because he knew he would lose his happiness, If you’re in a relationship and you feel like you’re losing interest please don’t because later you will feel regret, keep a little fire just in there, hang on tight, love will hurt but don’t ever fear it Because we all deserve to be loved.

What I love most about Dylan being an actor is his eyes. There are parts in the series where he doesn't need to speak because his eyes are screaming his emotions making it so much relatable. A passionate actor indeed.

Shen Yue is so lucky because Dylan Wang will always remember her as his first leading lady. Besides their chemistry, there are more things that really attracted me to this drama. This is the kind of drama I suggest to watch everyone. There's no fantasy. It's all about reality. This is to learn that our happiness is in our hands and all we need is to muster up some courage. We all have right to grab our own happiness. It also shows how much it is important to consider the person's feelings with whom u fell for. At first he may be a bit selfish and aggressive but later on all that attitude flowed away with love.

This was really lovely. The four young men with their own personal pain!! The lead young man, his pain, his only love he received was from his sis, n ms. Yu. No love of a mother , life left to his own ideas. His willingness to become a better person, not only for his girl but himself. This young actor did n excellent job!!!
Just finished this on Netflix and it was my first C-drama. I’ve only ever watched K-dramas but I’m so happy I stumbled upon this show and gave it a chance! Definitely one of my top dramas of all time. Was hooked from the first episode and it got better after each one. I really admire the actors in this especially Shen Yue and Dylan Wang, they played their roles perfectly! The story is beautiful as Daoming Si learns how to love Shancai properly and how she falls for him after hating him in the beginning. He never gave up on his feelings for her and they were meant to be. Such a cute story. Definitely went through a roller coaster of emotions watching this but I’d def watch it again in a few months. So good!!

This drama was so cheesy and unbelievable, and yet it was soo darn good. They took us through a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions let me tell you. I was crying, throwing pillows, smiling, crying, mostly angry crying 😅😂 I binged the 40 episodes in less than a week. Not my proudest moment 😂

This is such a great story. In some cultures women and girls are not taught self-esteem and are not allowed a choice. Moreover the relationship between parents and daughters is one of exercising control and this is labeled as love. It works for patriarchies. There are so many revolutionary concepts- the strongest one is of Shancai. Standing up to a bully, a character that doesn’t fall for someone who is rich, influential, popular or handsome, forgiving, trusted by her parents to do the right thing, hardworking and honest. The most beautiful and powerful part is where she doesn’t yes to the first guy that comes along.
Whenever I see Dao Ming Si and Shancai it makes me soooooo happy...I always love their arguments they're like Tom & Jerry...hahaha but that's what relationships are that will make you strong and of course at they end you will realize that you can't live without him/her.
Rewatching for the 3rd time since 2018, love this series for their great acting. Si n Cai are so perfect for each other, lovable chemistry makes this show so special. Si is naturally gifted with acting and this role is a perfect fit.

I know Didi is hot and all but Shen Yue is really really adorable and beautiful. Also, she's so talented. She can express the character very well. Like in ALSB, she's a cute little baby and needs to be protected but in MG, she's a strong, independent girl, trying to live her life. She looks like 2 different person. Yes, this is Yueyue appreaciation comment which is hard to see.
I swear some times I wanted to slap Shancai to make her wake up. My boy Dao Ming Si has been chasing after her since ep.2 proving that he really likes her , that he loves her, that he would even take a bullet for her if necessary and it took her so long to realize that, i got mad every time she broke Ah Si’s heart...but I’m happy because everything got sorted out at the end.
Swan A That was how the story goes. Shancai took a looong time to realize her first love Lei wasn't her true love. It was Ah Si for her all the time. Only Daoming Si could love her and protect her fiercely even if it cost him his own life. 💕

Just finished this on Netflix and it was my first C-drama. I’ve only ever watched K-dramas but I’m so happy I stumbled upon this show and gave it a chance! Definitely one of my top dramas of all time. Was hooked from the first episode and it got better after each one. I really admire the actors in this especially Shen Yue and Dylan Wang, they played their roles perfectly! The story is beautiful as Daoming Si learns how to love Shancai properly and how she falls for him after hating him in the beginning. He never gave up on his feelings for her and they were meant to be. Such a cute story. Definitely went through a roller coaster of emotions watching this but I’d def watch it again in a few months. So good!!

Dylan Wang so far the best Dao Ming Si in my opinion. He's young but with great potential. Shen Yue liked her in ALSB and loved her more in Meteor Garden. wish u guys ALL THE BEST!

This drama was so cheesy and unbelievable, and yet it was soo darn good. They took us through a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions let me tell you. I was crying, throwing pillows, smiling, crying, mostly angry crying 😅😂 I binged the 40 episodes in less than a week. Not my proudest moment 😂

I just love this version more than every version i just wached.
This is such a great story. In some cultures women and girls are not taught self-esteem and are not allowed a choice. Moreover the relationship between parents and daughters is one of exercising control and this is labeled as love. It works for patriarchies. There are so many revolutionary concepts- the strongest one is of Shancai. Standing up to a bully, a character that doesn’t fall for someone who is rich, influential, popular or handsome, forgiving, trusted by her parents to do the right thing, hardworking and honest. The most beautiful and powerful part is where she doesn’t yes to the first guy that comes along.
Whenever I see Dao Ming Si and Shancai it makes me soooooo happy...I always love their arguments they're like Tom & Jerry...hahaha but that's what relationships are that will make you strong and of course at they end you will realize that you can't live without him/her.

Rewatching for the 3rd time since 2018, love this series for their great acting. Si n Cai are so perfect for each other, lovable chemistry makes this show so special. Si is naturally gifted with acting and this role is a perfect fit.

I know Didi is hot and all but Shen Yue is really really adorable and beautiful. Also, she's so talented. She can express the character very well. Like in ALSB, she's a cute little baby and needs to be protected but in MG, she's a strong, independent girl, trying to live her life. She looks like 2 different person. Yes, this is Yueyue appreaciation comment which is hard to see.

I swear some times I wanted to slap Shancai to make her wake up. My boy Dao Ming Si has been chasing after her since ep.2 proving that he really likes her , that he loves her, that he would even take a bullet for her if necessary and it took her so long to realize that, i got mad every time she broke Ah Si’s heart...but I’m happy because everything got sorted out at the end.

That drinking scene was really very touching. Dylan was acting at his best here. As we all know he's only 18-19 when they were shooting this scene, underaged and probably has never touched alcohol but his acting was tops. I bet he had a hard time playing drunk more than in his kissing scenes. 😍
