What a cool ghost story. I can definitely see Meryl Streep being sensitive to the presence of ghosts... I can also imagine ghosts vibing with Streep, of all people. Shes a born observer, and communicator.
Oh my gosh, I had the same experience when I moved into a home after the prior owner had passed away. I heard a huge crash "upstairs", which sounded like a huge box of glass had fallen. There was only a crawl space that I had never even seen before. Whoa. 😳
Her piano story reminds me so much of once when I slept over a girl's house and everything went wrong, it was a terrible night. I didn't sleep at all, for 12 different reasons, but at a certain moment as I was [still] trying, I heard a STRONDOUS noise behind me, so loud that instead of panicking I paralysed in pure shock. It took me some minutes to turn back at me, but when I did, the door to her room, that had been closed before, was completely open. Until this day I don't know what happened, and another bizarre thing is that she didn't wake up. It wasn't a normal noise that someone deep asleep wouldn't hear. I convinced myself that I hallucinated it, although I never had hallucinations before or after that.
People think having a career and fame us more important than a happy marriage but i think the actress home life reflects who they are more so than how much money they bring in, you can't be successful at both and Meryl hadto fail in her personal life!
My father had dead a about a week and family were down stAirs when there was a enormous crash upstairs When they went up to investigate a picture of dad’s mum was on the bedroom floor in My dad lost his mum In to1918 pandemic when he was 4 years old We felt it was a sign I hope it meant that he was with his mum
- I wanted to ask you some questions. If you don't mind that I know you get interviewed frequently and I don't know if people really know you very well. So, I thought I'd ask some questions that I'm pretty sure you've not been asked before. - Okay. - Was that okay? - Yeah, - Okay. - Uh, last time you got drunk was... - last night. - Good start. Have you ever been in a physical fight? - Yes. - A real one? - Yes. - With whom? - I don't want to say her name. - As a kid or as an adult? - As a kid. - Okay. - And she broke my glasses and I ripped her blouse off. - Wow! That's serious, um. Have you ever seen the show Jersey Shore? - Yes, and I'm from New Jersey and it doesn't represent us well. - Do you know who Larry the Cable Guy is? - Yeah. Well, I get it mixed up with Jim Carrey. - No, he's not Jim Carrey but Jim will be delighted I'm sure, um. Did you have a nickname growing up? - Yeah, I had a number of them. - A number of them, any come to mind. - Strip. - For tearing the girl's blouse off. - Strip car. - Nice, I like that. Um, have you ever bought anything from E-bay? - No. - Do you google yourself? - No. - Uh, have you ever joined a fan club? - Uh, no. - Have you ever lit a firecracker? - No. - Have you ever set the high score in a video game? - I don't even know how to play them. - Have you ever dated a magician? - Ah, let me think. No, I don't think so. - Have you ever seen a ghost? - Oh, I haven't seen a ghost, but I heard something that was unbelievable. - Really? - Yeah. - Well, let's take a quick break here, just to tease everyone and when we come back we'll find out what you heard that was unbelievable because I can't wait to hear it. The iron lady opens tomorrow, Meryl Streep is here, we'll be more… - Um, we spoke earlier about the ghost and, uh, I asked if you'd ever seen one and you teased us with your answer so tell us what happened what was it that you heard. - Well, I heard, I was working. We, we had, I had another baby and this was many years ago. My last one. - Congratulations! - Thank you. - Fourth, and I was, everybody was down at the pool with my husband and some friends and I was about ready to go down I was gathering all the stuff at our house in Connecticut and, um, we were doing some work on the house and we were living in the guest house which is a little bitty house built in 1830. And I was downstairs sitting at a desk and I heard what sounded like a grand piano fall, right over my head in the in the room above my head and my first thought was that it was one of the kids and I said: “Henry!” you know and I screamed upstairs and halfway up the stairs I the hair stood up and I realized that, um, everybody no one was home and I searched there's only two rooms upstairs in this little house. There was nothing out of place. There was nothing in the attic. There was nothing on the roof. And I heard like an enormous crash right over my head so and my husband is a sculptor he has he sells, uh, a lot of work in Japan and we had some collectors come and stay in that house and they had taken the 22-hour flight and had dinner and fallen asleep in their soup. - And they died? - No. - Oh my god. They were crushed by a piano. - Oh, no-no-no, this is another time, oh, and, um, they we were all down at the main house and we said now don’t said we're going to take you up to the guest house and they said: “Oh, very nice” and they went up and they were so tired they were so tired they're so polite and it was about 9 30 at night put them all in the house and, uh, next morning he went up to collect them at a reasonable hour like 10 30 in the morning and there they all were in the living room like this dress. You know, wide awake like this the cigarettes and everything cigarettes everywhere they said: “Spirit, spirit.”. - Wow! - Yeah. - Wow. - You want to come stay at our house? - No, but thank you for the offer.
It is because of Meryl Streep and hearing this story that I believe in spirits and ghosts. Baby Jimmy. My very psychic mom had a ghost in her dressing room, but she wasn't afraid because she said she wasn't being threatened. Eventually she told the ghost it was free to go, and it did.
I love her because she laughs at herself. She isn’t pretentious or arrogant.

Made me think of her character in Bille August’s 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘱𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘴 (1993).

Q: You want to come stay at our house? My answer: Yes, please, I'd love to!

Of course they do exist but not everyone is capable of feeling them thank God
I would LOVE to stay at their house 🙂🙂
