Definitely watch KZ's performance of "Close to You" live. You won't be disappointed!
KZ's take on "Rolling In The Deep" on Singer 2018 was unique, and won her that episode of the show. She had polyp problems as a teen, and had to develop a style that didn't rely on being able to hit the high notes.
Why not the KZ/Jesse video?
When two great artist are confident enough to play off of and feed off of one another it can't help but be phenomenal!!

Be sure BE SURE to see (even if not all to be presented on You Tube} all of KZ's performances on Chinese show The Singer 2018 and her songs on the WISH 107.5 bus. There is also a concert performance where she sounds like a human saxophone.
Both so talented, so creative. The best KZ performances I've seen are from Singer 2018. She deconstructs and reconstructs songs like Rolling in the Deep. My only problem watching reactions to that song is that people think she used autotune as part of the intro when she used reverb. But it is incredible it's like several genres in one song. Wow.

The first reactor to have mentioned my favorite vocalist of all time the Divine Sassy Ms Sarah Vaughan🎶 . For that reason alone I subscribed 👌. The Open Studio streamed live a few days ago the 1954 album Sarah Vaughan + Clifford Brown..great stuff. Sorry I digress back to your reaction yes from what I've heard Jaya when she was younger was one of Stevie Wonder's backup vocalist. And KZ is a jazz influenced artist. Hello mam nice reaction!!you were right jaya is trying to mentor kz. Jaya is one of the prominent and one of most popular diva in the phillippines...which she was called the 'soul diva'.. probably the reason why she was trying to mentor kz to be in her generations most popular soul singer.. fact is kz is known as ' the soul supreme' as jaya is also known as ' the soul diva'.. though if its ok to request to you if you have a chance to react on jaya version of 'officially missing you' with 2 of phillipines great r&b singer jay- r ( r&b prince of phillippines and jayson dee also one of best r&b singer in the country..and also this is really special to me because once you really follow kz' s performance her talent is above everyone because of what she can bring in the table. So please react to her rendition of ' close to you' by carpenters and i promise you.. you will love it. Ill even bet my house and lot if you wont love this performance of hers and youll also find another of kz's hidden multi talent aside from singing which for me is not many singers or people can do in the whole world..so please react to her 'CLOSE TO YOU' version.... pls pls pls

Thank you for reacting to my favourite video in UA-cam. Now you know why. It really makes me really feeling good every time I watch this video. It was really very helpful for me since the lockdown started here in London in March. It’s one of the videos that should be watched by a lot of people too. Thank you again for reacting to it.
Both singers have UA-cam videos that will make you appreciate them more. Too many to mention but I suggest Jaya singing Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Through the fire” and KZ singing “Rolling in the Deep”. FYI, when KZ does a cover of a song, she turns it into her own song. You’ll see that it all her performances. I like their (Jaya & KZ) original music too but mostly in Filipino language.
Jaya is our "Queen of soul" and Kz is our "Soul Supreme" here in Phil....
Jaya is one of the vocal trinity of the Philippines (along with Regine Velasquez and Lani Misalucha).
KZ is a unique artist of her own. So much talent and energy in a small body.
Have you heard the #TNTBoys sing recently with their transitioning voices? They did a cover of 'Lay Me Down' on their TNT Boys channel.
Jaya is 50 years old and KZ Tandingan is 28 yrs old..so it looks like a mom & daughter performance
kz used to cover songs and made it her own. she sang adele's "rolling in the deep" in a competition in china called "singer 2018" you might want to react on that and be mesmirized. she totally changed the arrangement of the song herself.

I have to say, I was a little taken a bag that you chose to watch this duet instead of watching KZ singing something by herself first, but it is a great performance to see her as a showcase of her jazz skills first if you want to. I hope you watch her rendition of rolling in the deep next.

Please, watch her rendition of “Say something”, as well as “close to you”. On the song close to you, she makes her voice sounds like a trumpet. It is incredible! You also need to watch Katrina doing impressions of other singers, on “never enough”. She also sings “burn”, as well while impersonating other singers.
I think the first time I heard this song was Alison Moyet. Another great version.

Jaya has become one of my favourite singers. She is called “soul supreme“ in the Philippines. She is a part of a vocal Trinity, with Regine Velazquez and Lani Misalucha. I’m actually surprised you haven’t done Regine Velazquez yet, come think of it. She is very reacted to amongst Filipino singers. She is considered the biggest diva of all, and it’s called “the Songbird“. To me, she is a Filipino Barbra Streisand, but she is often called the Whitney Houston of the Philippines. Lani is the one who sounds like Whitney, so you can review her singing her Whitney Houston medley.
