Cyno is one of my favourite characters 1) The Anubis aesthetic, my inner child obsessed with ancient Egyptian myths and also the House of Anubis is QUAKING 2) The satisfaction of lining up his skill with the eye 3) He's just so fun to play in general. 4) gave me a reason to use Fischl again
i dont care there are not enough buffs to last 18s this man is getting all 18sec he is too cool. i think the dendro archorn will help solve all these dendro support needs.
@@twelfth.hokage bigger problem is dendro support,dendro mc kinda best option now but if enemy run away from his burst or was to fare from itwhen u cast it,u can't swap back to dendro mc to use skill,so u have to deal raw electro dmg,cyno will become much more stronger with dendro xingqiu, something what will follow u,so he probably need some time to open full potential

Great guide! I'm really glad his ICDs were covered. I shifted Keqing's TF set on to Cyno and because his skill CD has no ICD you can basically spam his skill with the I interval and between them. Just like you mentioned, skipping one skill proc makes everything align perfectly 👌 Phenomenal guide
minor correction: wiki lists duststalker bolts as having unique ICD with 2.5s time-based reset and no hitcount-based reset (as opposed to standard ICD, which resets every 3 hits). also, elemental skill only lacks ICD during his burst; outside of burst it has a unique ICD with 0.2s cooldown. this doesn't change his overall gameplay at all, so it's a good simplification for the purposes of the video. just listing it here for anyone interested

I think he's meant to be played with reactions but you could buff his normal attacks with yunjin, keep in mind that you might be losing dmg by playing him this way.

I pulled Cyno while going for Candace, I was not realy interested in him but I leveled him anyway. Results are : he is a lot of fun to play and one of the best if not the best Electro carry. Would recommend.
I got cyno and his c1 today and I came straight here since I didn't expect him to come home so soon. I really enjoy your videos and your voice makes it better to watch. I unfortunately manage to only have one copy of the white tassel but it's better than none 🤣🤣
I was rolling for Kuki Shinobu because I don't have her. Then at roll 29 it was golden. I won the 50/50 and got Cyno. The earliest roll of my life. And I have a Jade winged spear sitting in the corner. I guess I'll Main him now ☺️
As much as I love cyno I will say albedo does have more flexibility and fairly easy to build. Still use him to this day and not disappointed at all with him

My Deathmatch is also just R1 so needs a few more battle pass turn overs. Just need to prioritize crit in artifacts but overall glad to see Kitain is a good choice for him. Keep up the awesome work! @@amirul3233 white tassel is better, but if you play the game since the beginning as me and you burned all yor white tassel and have 100% exploration... Then white tassel is not an option. Rare item more than a 5* weapon. These are the things that hoyoverse needs to change. White tassel should be in the gacha... It is a 3*!!

I've been putting off getting the Deathmatch on the BP on my 2nd account but now that I have Cyno I have to get it. He's using the Fav Lance until I do get the DM (this BP cycle) but I've noticed he doesn't really need the energy recharge on it. I have always had better ER artifacts than EM anyway. This is a great guide. Thanks. :)
One thing about the obstacle on skill timing is the number of effects on screen. For instance, having Kazuha's burst is severely impacting my vision on noticing the prompt, combined with all the dendro reactions as it is a given.
Cyno requirement for him to be active on field for the duration of his burst does not allow you to play burst swap teams. for those who dont like klee, xiao and razor, this is not a character for you.
I'd like to share a pretty amazing trick on equipping the Kitain spear to Cyno. Happened on my play a few times earlier. After using Cyno's Elemental skill, if the burst is used *right after pressing the command* for Elemental Skill, there is a good chance that the Kitain spear's energy generating effect will still happen even after the burst animation ends. Normally, the burst is not usable after the elem skill hits, as 3 energy is immediately eaten by the Kitain spear effect. But with Cyno, this rarely happened with my plays. It's kind of difficult to describe how to time the input, but it's closest with playing Itto (pressing the burst button right after pressing the button for Ushi Throw). I think this happens because of how Cyno's E.skill moves. The skill seems to land the hit on the target a little later than Cyno's feet landing on the ground, making it possible for a different input (ex: dash-cancel). I'm not sure on that part, but I find it really odd that I am still pulling-off a burst after an elem skill hits with the Kitain spear on Cyno (this never works on Thoma, etc.)
Getting him C2 instead of Dehya when they ran double during Dehya's debut - and consequently getting his C3 in his next run - yeah, arguably my smartest Genshin choice
I just got C4 and honestly this allowed me to remove Ei for Xingqiu. Then this also addresses Baizhu's energy issues due to his high cost AND because I play with bf we can vary team comps more or have a double battery -ei x cyno-
I know it's kind of a given that he's probably stronger than Razor in most situations, but I'd like to see a comparison or maybe an updated Razor guide with the new dendro synergies, such as EM Razor with C6 Bennett.
@@el2747 idk why you felt the need to bring raiden to the table. Literally nobody asked haha. And tbh i think cyno is made for aggravate teams and lets be honest. Raiden does not compete at all in aggravate teams. She is worst than him. On the other hand she is pretty good for hyperbloom. But again, 0 people asked
AH! Good that i had the Inazuman craftable spear sitting around. Now i gotta choose if i want my Cyno to be focused on hyperbloom ( so i can free Raiden) or not. Thank you Sevy, always a life saver! ( can't get the Cyno's sig weapon, sigh )

Just got my boy at 17 pity but I won't be using him yet because of those damn scarabs. Great guide Sevy, I think my main team for him will be DMC, Fischl and Jean and the jade spear as his weapon.
Wavebreaker's Fin buffs Burst DMG and Cyno's DPS window is not counted as Burst DMG, but as Normal/Charged ATK DMG. It's definitely not for him. You'll find Watatsumi weapons in guides for characters who are focused on Burst DMG.
Got him from 80 pulls (already had him guaranteed) and his weapon from 60 pulls. Was very hyped for him even before his official release. But he is still far from upgraded so I need to run through desert to find scarabs. But my acc is cursed with artifacts so it’s gonna be a long run there as well
Well this guy just had to go and Itto'd me so hear I am lol. Thank goodness that hes not too hard to build and I'm currently building him right now and overall as far as I'm concerned hes basically what would happen if Xiao and Razor fused and Cyno was the end result lol. I mean I can't be the only one who, the minute I tested out his burst immediately thought wait that's just razor's burst only much more faster. Not to say that it's a bad comparison per se but it's just something that I found out on my own that I found kind of funny. Overall great to see that he is a pretty solid character regardless and....... Yeah I'm with you his voice is pretty manly though I subscribed to his voice actor on UA-cam and I have Three Houses and Three Hope's which has his VA so I already hear that every single time lol. Again soild guide Sevy and yeah I was about to get Candance despite being Itto'd by Cyno.
I had to skip Cyno due to prioritizing Wanderer rerun (and knowing it can likely appear at any patch now) But I know I will get him one day and each passing day I don't have him I keep wanting him more and more. But this also means I have more time to save for his constellations and all, and out of sheer luck, I already got his signature weapon. And if that isn't a sign that I WILL get him, I don't know what is. That said, I had to refrain from watching any Cyno content the past 3 weeks to avoid the urge to pull when I could devastate my chances at Wanderer all at once. But seeing this now makes me want him more (I'm rambling) I don't regret not pulling for him at all, I know he'll come home one day. And luckily I happen to be the world's most determined man. All in all great video, Sevy. I love how in depth your guides are and how you consider many playstyle options without discouraging others as much as I see on other guides. Keep up the great work!😊

It strikes the imagination how many team comps players can build with Cyno. Also I see some similarity between him and Raiden because of their damage through the burst, but Raiden is focused on recharging energy for her team and Cyno, as mentioned in the guide, is more selfish in this case, focused on more amount of damage and he consumes a lot of energy. I've wondered about putting Cyno and Raiden in the same team to enjoy with animation, but now I think it can be a loss of damage
Be honest I main raiden and I also wondering to put cyno and raiden same team, it might not be super optimal but hey as FTP it still work, raiden e still proc and increase bust damage, and in case cyno ulti is down no enwrgy I can still quickly burst with raiden and fill energy for everyone
@@alex97480 agreed. As FTP in the open world during slaying bosses it may be so much fun, but i dont sure about something like 12th floor of abyss because that two characters provide maximum efficiency through prolonged bursts coming separately

Why wouldn't one use an anemo unit on the aggravate team? Does the anemo mess up the quicken/aggravate? I imagined the VV shred would further enhance the electro dmg!

Zhongli's shield lasts 20 seconds. Well mine does cos it doesn't break. 60k HP. Unless fidget spinner ruin guard

First time watching one of your videos (recently got into Genshin) and this is very well crafted! The information provided is very clear and concise.
I feel like no one has mentioned:
A) if he has synergy with Yunjin
B) his synergy with Collei’s sprout from her skill, especially with her C2
A. No, his atks during burst count as Burst Dmg, so Normal Atk damage is futile

Don’t get me started on the off chance you have an electro enemy or raiden’s skill running, I get so blinded by purple that I miss the chance horribly

I just got C4 and honestly this allowed me to remove Ei for Xingqiu. Then this also addresses Baizhu's energy issues due to his high cost AND because I play with bf we can vary team comps more or have a double battery -ei x cyno-

I know it's kind of a given that he's probably stronger than Razor in most situations, but I'd like to see a comparison or maybe an updated Razor guide with the new dendro synergies, such as EM Razor with C6 Bennett.

Razor in comparison feels extremely clunky unfortunately. I think it has something to do with his animations.

Just got my boy at 17 pity but I won't be using him yet because of those damn scarabs. Great guide Sevy, I think my main team for him will be DMC, Fischl and Jean and the jade spear as his weapon.

What about Wavebreaker's Fin for Cyno?
I really love the Watatsumi weapon series, but it always feels left out in every guide.
Wavebreaker's Fin buffs Burst DMG and Cyno's DPS window is not counted as Burst DMG, but as Normal/Charged ATK DMG. It's definitely not for him.
You'll find Watatsumi weapons in guides for characters who are focused on Burst DMG.

Got him from 80 pulls (already had him guaranteed) and his weapon from 60 pulls. Was very hyped for him even before his official release. But he is still far from upgraded so I need to run through desert to find scarabs. But my acc is cursed with artifacts so it’s gonna be a long run there as well

Well this guy just had to go and Itto'd me so hear I am lol. Thank goodness that hes not too hard to build and I'm currently building him right now and overall as far as I'm concerned hes basically what would happen if Xiao and Razor fused and Cyno was the end result lol. I mean I can't be the only one who, the minute I tested out his burst immediately thought wait that's just razor's burst only much more faster. Not to say that it's a bad comparison per se but it's just something that I found out on my own that I found kind of funny. Overall great to see that he is a pretty solid character regardless and....... Yeah I'm with you his voice is pretty manly though I subscribed to his voice actor on UA-cam and I have Three Houses and Three Hope's which has his VA so I already hear that every single time lol. Again soild guide Sevy and yeah I was about to get Candance despite being Itto'd by Cyno.
I had to skip Cyno due to prioritizing Wanderer rerun (and knowing it can likely appear at any patch now)
But I know I will get him one day and each passing day I don't have him I keep wanting him more and more. But this also means I have more time to save for his constellations and all, and out of sheer luck, I already got his signature weapon. And if that isn't a sign that I WILL get him, I don't know what is.
That said, I had to refrain from watching any Cyno content the past 3 weeks to avoid the urge to pull when I could devastate my chances at Wanderer all at once. But seeing this now makes me want him more (I'm rambling)
I don't regret not pulling for him at all, I know he'll come home one day. And luckily I happen to be the world's most determined man.
All in all great video, Sevy. I love how in depth your guides are and how you consider many playstyle options without discouraging others as much as I see on other guides. Keep up the great work!😊

It strikes the imagination how many team comps players can build with Cyno. Also I see some similarity between him and Raiden because of their damage through the burst, but Raiden is focused on recharging energy for her team and Cyno, as mentioned in the guide, is more selfish in this case, focused on more amount of damage and he consumes a lot of energy.
I've wondered about putting Cyno and Raiden in the same team to enjoy with animation, but now I think it can be a loss of damage
Be honest I main raiden and I also wondering to put cyno and raiden same team, it might not be super optimal but hey as FTP it still work, raiden e still proc and increase bust damage, and in case cyno ulti is down no enwrgy I can still quickly burst with raiden and fill energy for everyone
@@alex97480 agreed. As FTP in the open world during slaying bosses it may be so much fun, but i dont sure about something like 12th floor of abyss because that two characters provide maximum efficiency through prolonged bursts coming separately
I done it already. Raiden sara razor optional. Its pretty fun bcoz of razor quick energy recharge.
You can put fav lance on him so that he can charge the team while being onfield. But I think its still not enough to battery XL and XQ

Why wouldn't one use an anemo unit on the aggravate team? Does the anemo mess up the quicken/aggravate? I imagined the VV shred would further enhance the electro dmg!
Aggravate team 4th slot are flex slot, best should be Anemo as you pointed out.
But using Shield character or healer, no issue.
Vv 4pc bonus doesnt procc off field so you wont have an 18s electro shred. Zhonglis shield has a 20s electro shred tho
