Im 24 and just lost hearing of high to mid frequency's on my right ear about a week ago, i have trouble hearing and there is no infection or anything, wish i could have done things better and taken care of myself now i have to worry it doesn't get worse all my life, all of this while i was already going through a deep depression and chronic back pain, i know it can get better but honestly i dont see that happening

@@derek4177 hey! Thanks for asking, I got better thankfully, I took cortisone as soon as I got diagnosed which was the day the symptoms started, it took a lot of time and patience to get used to the tinnitus though I am now doing much better with that, sometimes I forget I have it and compared to how it was when it started I couldn't be more happy with the results of the medicine and thankful for the immediate help by the doctors and the help from my family.

    Hearing Problems
I have had trouble with hearing most of my life, mainly Neural-Deafness and Acoustic shock disorder so in speech, what I thought I may have heard is not always what was really said or complete. Like when someone says “The cow jumped over the moon” what it can sound like to me is, “da ow umpt ower da noon”, however I look at lips while listening and my brain is highly trained to extrapolate and interpret, so I still get on in life, although it is stressful at times. Consonants like a P, a G, a D, a J, a, K, a Q a, T, a, B, a V & F, I cannot tell apart. And I cannot hear the S sound, unless it is very loud.
This hearing deficit over works my brain and after a while I get what Audiology calls “Acoustical Fatigue” and so I usually snooze for bit after the struggle.
    Acoustic shock disorder
When there is an outburst of loud sound, it shocks my brain to pain, so the loud automobiles with no or poor mufflers, are terrible when they drive by my house. It is no wonder I do not like to target shoot, even with ear plugs on.
Most people that know me cannot fathom this hearing situation, like when they are talking to me a big loud truck goes by or a car without a muffler, they just keep on talking all-through the sound moment and expect me to understand. Any background sound like in a meeting, church, school, etc I am essentially 80% deaf during the background sound play. “You talk well and I hear you well, so I assume that you can hear as good as I do” This in not correct!
I have recently been doing some experimenting with my hearing loss and it looks promising, so any continued luck, I will be glad to pass it on to others.

When listening to music only through my right ear, it sounds like the music doesn't make any sense. All the notes are completely off, like the musicians can't play in tune. Voices sound weird and distorted, too. Also have high frequency hearing loss that's got worse over the past 2 weeks. Constant tinnitus. Left ear is perfect. What could cause this? I doubt it's wax (they're clean according to my doc), or infections (also confirmed no infections by doc).
Back story: I believe I had a ministroke or two about a decade ago, but my right ear hearing improved back to normal after both of them. I'd suffered complete hearing loss on both occasions, one for several days and one for several weeks. Took months for hearing to restore to normal. Could this have caused permanent damage that would manifest at a later date? It's the same ear.
    Thanks for the video!

Do not be afraid to ask people on the phone, especially, business, to speak up and speak slower! Best to always make a quick statement about your condition at the beginning of the tele conversation. In this day and age, business has to be sympathetic! Domestically, ask family, friends, contacts, for their own sake as well as yours, to look at you when speaking, to be in same room, as you and to use simple, `sign language`, where possible, along with speech. Do they want to know the time? Prod their wrist with a finger while asking. Do they want to go swimming? Then, perform the `breast stroke` while asking you. Change the baby`s nappy? Ask them to screw their face and hold their nose. You get the idea!

Do synthesizers have an effect on the ears? Loud sounds from any instrument can deafen, but can synths deafen you at a lower volume?

What about hyperacusis do we get it when we get an infection and the infection like hardens the small bones in the middle ear??? Or inner?
I got sinusitis symptoms spring 2022 and clogged ears ever since and then I got Covid in June 2022 and then ear infections in July from music but I was also dealing with sinus issues or feeling very stuffed in my nose or just felt sorta under the weather. Anyway so then I got tinnitus in august 2022 After some ear infections shit was kinda gross even though nothing expelled out of my ear I think the puss or infection just hardened behind my ear drums. Then I got sound sensitivity.

What if you have mild hearing loss in your left ear but still hear pretty good out of it? My left ear dropped to 35db at 250 frequency and 30db at 500 frequency where my right ear was 20 and 10.
But I can still pick up sound and bass from songs, talk on the phone find out if that ear, I mean I can hear background noise good and what direction it’s coming from etc. like I can hear pretty good out of it, only thing I’ve been experiencing is this pressure and fullness sensation and low pitched ringing sensation, or ringing from the pressure I don’t know how to explain it. It’s not high pitched ringing and it does ease up at night it seems like. I’ve also noticed sensitivity to some sounds like scratching the wall I can feel it in my ear, closing lids hard I can feel it, sometimes my voice or other peoples voice I can somewhat feel it in my ear as well… it was worse at one point, but has improved atleast gradually. The humming test I have a hard time distinguishing which ear is better, most of the time it feels equal and other times maybe slightly louder in my right ear?
My symptoms at one point were pretty intense with the pressure and sound coming from my ear, that’s really the only time I notice a little difference in my hearing? When it eases up it almost feels normal. But it seems like for a week now my symptoms have gradually improved? Not 100% but better than it was gradually.
I’ve been getting treated for middle ear fluid for about a month and half now, and been dealing with these symptoms on and off for 2 months exactly. I haven’t had vertigo or any other serious symptoms, just the pressure and fullness and low pitched ringing. I got sick with a bad head cold and congestion, stopped up, sinus headaches etc and lasted for like 10 days ATLEAST and somewhere between the 7th and 14th of November I woke up and noticed my left ear just felt like, full? Pressure? And that sound (low pitched ringing or whatever) thought maybe I just slept too long on that side and all that mucus and congestion went to my ear, and I just kinda shook it off because I’ve dealt with this similar experience in my right ear years ago and it got better over time so I didn’t really think anything of it, well November 28th was my first visit at this clinic and that’s when I started getting treated for middle ear fluid and slight mild infection idk. Never would have thought of hearing loss, never would have crossed my mind. I don’t do anything to super loud excessive to cause damage, I don’t have any diseases. But maybe it was whatever virus attacked my sinuses I have no idea. Maybe my body is just taking longer to heal and get over this.
Just curious if anybody out there has dealt with similar symptoms that I’m dealing with and if they think my situation will get worse or these sensations in my ear will last forever??? It’s been 2 months now and my symptoms haven’t gotten worse, I mean for a while it seemed like it was on a routine, where it would ease up at night and then flare up bad when I wake up and midday.
If anything like I said maybe some slight gradual improvement.

Like my audiogram was like a big ass reverse slope, it was pretty normal and same until the last 2 lowest frequencies and then it dropped off some, to 35 and 30

@@wobekillin9991 I think you got sinus issues breh. Also idk if you’re into music but I damaged my shit from music and I was also dealing with ear fullness and hearing loss sorta. I still have this issue in like 3 months it’ll be a year of ear fullness.
You probably need a sinus surgery or a cleaning of your sinuses. If you’ve had bad allergies growing up maybe your sinuses are just in need of a cleaning ?????

    • @Cardoza.Nsmg3

@@wobekillin9991 idk about your hearing loss if it’s that different maybe it was your infections idk. The low humming or ringing it probably “tinnitus” and it can go away I think if you take care of your body, eat good, exercise, and protect yourself when the seasons get harsh AND also clean your a.c. Unit.

@@Cardoza.Nsmg3 idk man this audiologist doc told me it was nothing conductive cuz the tympanogram showed my middle ear was normal and eardrum and all that so it’s got me freaking out.
I was taking decongestants but I’ve stopped because I didn’t think there was any point of it. Like last night my ear felt like 95% normal and then today I woke up and it came back the pressure feeling and low pitched ringing and it’s been present all day
