- When I came up with this idea a few years ago I honestly thought that it was impossible. I at least thought I'd ever have the means to pull it off, it was truly just a dream. However, over the last few years I talked about it enough to bring it into fruition & THANK YOU for Red Bull for bringing this project to life! Surfing New Jersey, California & Hawaii in the same day is about as far as you can push time travel to it's limit. Please enjoy & THANK YOU for the stoke & support FOR THE DREAM!!! - Ben

Surfing at night .......next to a pier .......all I would be thinking is "Sharkbait" .........I've paddled out in the rain just as the sun was starting to rise and I swear I could here the theme from "Jaws" for the first 20 minutes until it got light ! Surfing is one helluva drug !

It took me some time after finding the Vlog in 2017 before adopting the philosophy and starting to take the steps towards my dreams. My journey has only just begun but I am truly in a better place. El Porto is fairly sad in the Summer... But, in fact, in the Winter, it's got consistent size and power coming in (out of the offshore canyon), on the regular. Shape and your results may vary... Nearby, at Hammerland and Redondo Breakwater, you're gonna find the more consistent shape, size and power, provided that either is adequately exposed to the swell angle.
I used to do a similar Trifecta/Triple Crown Run - exclusive to SoCal, that could frequently produce great results. (Somewhere in) Malibu - Wedge/Newport Point/Jetties - (somewhere in) La Jolla. Given a good South or SW swell... that's a challenging and HIGHLY REWARDING run to attempt and make. In the Winter you can make some adjustments and do just as well, despite the potentially added mileage - while going from Ventura to SD.

Surfing is not as popular as most people think. JOB's channel doesn't even have a million subscribers and he is waaay more famous than Ben Gravy. The proof is in the pudding😉
@@catalinagomez924 you might be right, but I also think you have to really consider the amount of time your target audience spends on devices. I love surfing, I am outdoors every chance I get, as I imagine many who watch are. Gravy, Tina Cohen, and JOB ( and sometimes Kai Lenny and a few others if its a rainy day) are the only vlogs I watch religiously. Most days my only screen time is watching these haha. So if your audience doesn't spend a ton of time on devices you're not going to have the numbers, in viewers or time spent viewing, as say a gamer whose target audience is in bed with a hoodie on maccing on Doritos and Monster all day on a screen. A rough generalization that was kinda rude but you get my drift.
Gravy's content is so sick and easily keeps up with or even rivals JOB who is heavily sponsored and could possibly have a much larger budget so that says a lot to me. You can't fake this. He is out there doing it and my claim is this:
