I saw comments about Mcdonald's locations in VIetnam but it's gone now
I am sad
Answer though Saigon and Hanoi only have them
I looked into this years ago, there are 2 main reasons for this, 1 McDonalds is one of the lower preforming fast food joints in most of Asia, 2 McDonalds requires to own the land their buildings are on as McDonalds is a Real Estate Firm first, fast food second (True story)
For the first reason, Vietnam is a family based nation meaning we eat together not alone, this is why KFC is such a dominate force in Vietnam were Vietnam's eat on your own idea doesn't fit or do well
i think Endless is picking on VN for a reason , but Phuc Map who is American love to live in VN ,you guys know why , i leave the answer to the audiences / if you want to date attractive Vietnamese women , you need to be attractive and herpes free Endless , you do this wont help hahaha honest advice , not only Vietnamese women , all women all over the world are like that
You know honestly i have no idea what your trying to say, but you do love to visit me a lot so I just assuming this is some fanmail 🥰
@@EndlessTravels I am a new sub and I just read this guys comment to your video. I too, do not understand what the f#ck this dude is trying to elude to.
Side note:
I like your videos. You are giving a honest assessment on what is going on in VN for potential Expats and potential ELA teachers who are considering to come to VN. I think I am five years too late (to be honest). The pollution that you are referring to in VN, it sounds a lot like Jakarta and Indonesia (overall/in general). It is SHOCKING how underdeveloped the sanatation system is in SouthEast Asia. I've stayed two months in Sumatra and Jakarta, and sanitation is a real issue. Jakarta is better but still... when you see major canals in Jakarta full of sewage/sludge/polluted dark brown and thick water, it is very shocking.
No there are serious problems with vietnam when it comes to living there, your whole country is about as clean as my local trash dump.
I have a question. Could you please address the issue of age discrimination? What is the cut off age to get hired as a teacher? Thanks.
Age discrimination is subjective. I've known a few teachers in their late 60's that were teaching down in Saigon for many years.
The guy was lively and really fun to talk with regardless if he was talking with Vietnamese or English teachers. So i feel if someone is older and they put off a "Boring im old" vibe there will be concerns but
if your 60 or less, like to smile, and fun to be around and give that good vibe i wouldn't find age really the biggest concern.
@@EndlessTravels The reason I ask is because I've been told in two different job interviews that schools don't usually hire teachers over the age of 40. This was when I was in China. I know Vietnam is a different country but it's very similar to China in many ways. I've already applied to a few jobs in Vietnam and haven't heard back from any of them yet.
Ah yeah ok, if your doing this online YOU might get some pull back becuase Vietnamese tend to judge books by the cover and yeah Vietnam and China being similar, they are pretty much the same on many levels including education.
My advise on this is create up a new CV, get your pretty face top dead center, and focus your CV on teaching and how you going to make that school rich as in they'll love you there and the kids will too
You could even avoid the age situation until the end. If you are doing in person interviews you typically don't get this pull back though, in all i'd say just avoid the age talk, there is no legal limitation at the age of 40, there is a cut off for work permits in Vietnam but that is WAY past 40 so legally don't worry.
Ah and with them not calling you back tney might not if not within the first few days, Vnese tend to have ADHD towards a lot of things
They see a new email, new cv they like the look they call
If not they keep clicking buttons
Honestly like myself i'll play with titles to get more views, you gotta play with your CV to get more views, its a numbers game out here and with new semester starting here in a month or so its a bit more busier than normal
Hope this helps some.
