    Halogen are weak ligands
    while Carbon/nitogen containing ligands are strong ligands.

    All Halo grp ligands are weak field ligands
    And CN- No2 etc which start with C or N..those ligands are strong field ligands

    (Nicl4) 2- hybridization sp3. Geometry =tetrahedral. Magnetic nature = paramagnetic, outer orbital complex.,high spin complex...... And Ni(CN) 4)2- ka hybridization dsp2, geometry square planer, magnetic nature diamagnetic.. Inner orbital complex, low spin complex... Mam is are correct

    Compounds with weak ligands will always have sp3d2 hybridization, while ones with strong ligands will always have d2sp3 hybridization

    Strong field ligands are - CN- ,CO ,en, NH3 , NO+ ,Py.
    Week field ligands are- I-,Br-, Cl- ,NO3- ,OH- ,oxalato2- ,H20.

    For (Ni(cl)4)2- the hybridization is sp3 and have paramagnetic property.tetrahedral shape.
    For (Ni(CN)4)2- the hybridization is dsp2 and have square planar structure.
    It is paramagnetic

    Was stucked on same question coz not know about week field & strong field ligands, so my all given 4 options comes paramagnetic but answers was only single option, trick was this, few min vedio but was helpful, 🙏 thanks
