- Here's a drawing of a grazing horse. I used a Fabriano toned paper with Winsor and Newton clear gesso and worked on top of it with Polychromos pencils.

clean and tight work. very enjoyable.
Cura dei dettagli, realismo perfetto. Complimenti.
Amazing !!!!Congratulations!!!
The drawing is so realistic that the horse moving on its own and having its own life
So enamored, watching a piece unfold from sketch to finish.
Having ridden and watched and studied horses, I am amazed and appreciative of the quality and detail here.
Drawing horses these days, I am dodgy about adding values. Seems that if the values are not of the right shape and in the right place, even correctly managed values regarding light, dark, betweens, can muddle a reasonably good line drawing.
Thank you for sharing your extraordinary talents.
Beautiful!
Love this drawing, it is more appealing to look at than the actual picture! I like how you changed the background and added more color, it really makes the horse look so natural in it's environment.
Predivno
Beautiful… never thought of putting gesso down, good tip. Could I use pastel pencils instead of coloured pencils…would they blend out do you think?
Pastels would also work.
Your art is very inspiring! I got myself some clear gesso too, because I saw it in your videos. I tried it in a sketchbook and I noticed what you mentioned here: the pigment doesn't stick as well. It takes some getting used to. Did you use a fixative after you were finished with the drawing?
Yeah
