They didn't mix this fast when I was clubbing. Then again I was always dancing on the dance floor so my perception is skewd lol
What's funny is a lot of old school djs shame me for not taking 3 minutes to mix into the next song
I watch twitch streamers dj and some of them like Pyka or Jessu or popular but they fake mixing they play a long playlist and when they act like turning nods the white line on it dosent move and stay in same position.. they dont loop scratch or use ross fader they add a few echo effect and people seems to like it cause they recieve donations and subs... ill start doing this because of these reason 😅 no need to be an awsome mixer like carlos on twitch

I am just getting started on the inpulse djc 200. Its bloody cheap and can do most of the things shown here. Just check it out and get one. Its so bloody cheap you wont regret it. Build is good too. Small enough to carry in back pack. Hercules is good. Im glad you Carlo used it.
Indeed! Though there are a few things I'd find difficulty in replicating on a 200. Hercules is really showing some amazing promise though!
@@djcarlo Yup. You are right. It doesn't even have a mid knob after all. It's good enough just for learning the basics like beat matching, cue points and polishing concepts. I can't wait to be confident enough in my skills and upgrade.

Hmmm, that's something I haven't really tried as, from experience, it's unnecessary. Plugging straight into the speakers usually works. Just look out for clipping or distortion I guess!

What a mix! I realised there is no cue point on the song you transition out? how did you know when to start your next song? by bar number?
Just by listening really! Once you know the song well enough, you can pretty much mix out where you please!

That's hard to say! It really depends what kind of music you want to play, and which program you're more comfy with, either Rekordbox or Traktor!

Hi mate can you, please, tell me how do you record your mixes? Because when i record directly in serato then export for youtube, my sound is like duller and closed, without punch. And youtube tells my content loudness is 0.0db like you.
I use impulse control 500.
Oof, that's really odd. Check out my Best Settings video for my preferred recording settings. That might help!
So ... I have been using Serato DJ Pro for a decade now and I do use stems in all my mixes, but I've never seen the FX instrumental echo. Is it in the FX packs (I do have all fx packs and everything else except DVS)? I usually use the ECHO OUT for backspins (barely use it), but it works more badly than properly. I have a Roland DJ-505 i.c.w. a Reloop Neon and a Behringer TD-3, if that helps to explain it. Thanks in advance. Nice mix though. I like what Hercules is doing with the T7, belt-driven spinning platters, a hell of gamble turned out very positively in the professional market.
It's part of the stems feature actually! It should be mapped to either the 6th or 7th FX pad. Check it out!

Overall, I'd say yes. Though it's really up to you given the design and features.

Great mix, but @0:20, just that loud af echo backspin becoming louder than the track itself due to Serato software FX making it that loud will make me want a hardware FX as part of the next DJ controller I get. I was heavily considering this but the FX section in Serato is lacking balance I want in a mix. Looks like a lovely controller and an amazing DJ nonetheless!
Yeah, that's why I prefer hardware based FX over software ones any day. But, well, at least they work! Hahahaa
