One of the best kayaks out there. Love my PA12 360. I haven't dabbed into a trolling motor, as haven't had the need for it yet.
You'll love that 360 until it breaks....and it will break. Awesome setup though.
Neat & clever rope trick to drop the boat in the water. Tying the kayak to the trailer was brilliant. Well done. I will have to try that myself.

Highly recommend getting a power pole micro setup, works very well in shallow water when you can’t run your motor on spot lock and/or don’t want to scare fish, and helps with unloading if needed, like with times you can’t trailer it down.
Contact Hobie dealers and ask if they have the pads in stock, you can probably get them in quicker than getting them from marine mat.
Horizontal rod holders are also great for opening up your casting room, you can take the vertical mounts inside of your Hobie and turn them outwards, or buy a different stager system.
Have you tried loading your kayak backwards and using the bow mount to launch? basically you would launch it out there and use spot lock with your remote out of the way, then go park your truck. I've had lots of success with that my boat never touches the bottom of the ramp lol.

I did my full deck padding this winter, in a mahogany wood color, and my boat is a limited edition seafoam color. And I went with the NK-180. On my 12ft fin drive, 34" wide, she moves. And I think you found the name, Green Machine. I like that! 😁🌊 🎣

I use foam golf balls on scupper under my seat and the ones in front of the seat scupper so u don’t drop lures down then

having the 360 drive with spotlock seems counter productive i would put something like the new nk300 on the back.
I agree but the other way around is better. Spotlock on a PA 180.

Thanks for the video. Would you be comfortable to leave the drive at home and juts fish using the motor? Debating if I want to install that bow motor and use my Predator without pedal drive. The reason - it has a 2 blade prop that paired with pedals so upcoming water would makes prop rotate and pedals spin). Thx

I haven’t bow mounted an i-Pilot to a kayak so I can really say, however I can say that I love the xi3 and I’ve had no issues.

I have the pa12 360 and I have a trailer so loading and unloading is obviously easy at the ramp, but when I wanna put it in the lake behind my house, I launch it off my dock by myself with no issues. My dock sits about 3 ft above the water too. Sure the PA are heavier than most kayaks, but the reality is, 120lbs isn’t that heavy

Yeah I look at mine on the trailer alot and think that it's more if a boat thast for me, having a trolling motor and storage just take the kayak part away slightly and when you get into the kind our boy here has then it's legit just a tiny bass boat.
