Coming from a full-time cinematographer here, the amount of work that goes into this is simply astounding that this is just a small side show... the production value is through the roof with this one. Would love the production team to give a full breakdown on a separate channel to show the crazy amount of work. Just amazing guys, well done.
@@ForePlayGolfwe would all love that! This is better production than the pga tour! Lol and they have a million dollar set up! Full semi trucks and everything? The drone shots are epic with the yardage! Keep it up boys! Y’all killing it
coming from a non cinematographer... I don't know how much work it is lol but I appreciate it! be something neat to see. video on the process of editing these. from the common dummy like me lol
This couldn't have come out at a better time for Joel. Watching him struggle so mightily in season 2 of Full Swing was tough. I think every man with kids and a career can empathize with Joel's situation at a smaller scale. I almost felt like episode 3 piled on him and painted him in a negative fashion. Really happy to see him working through those things and getting back. Great work guys.
5 years ago, something like this would be on TV. They would over produce it and only take the best 1 or 2 quotes from each hole. This is so much better. It feels like we are eavesdropping on a pros conversation.
The hack can't even rake a bunker - yet he talks like he's a pga tour caddy. Then he has the nerve to laugh at Joel missing the putt on the 9th hole. What a tool.
This is the first time I saw your show. Joel Dahmen was very interesting to watch and see his process. He has the right idea with his lay back attitude. Thanks.
This is pure gold content! Amazing golf with great tips & funny stories/commentary and more importantly still entertaining without any gimmicks or other annoyances 👌
I’m so glad you did this video. Joel is my all time favourite golfer. I would honestly choose to play with Joel over playing with tiger or any other pro golfer. He is so relatable and his outlook on life and golf is spot on.
Love Joel for many reasons, but him praising Shane for being a "great husband" with such enthusiasm shows me that he values fellow golfers who aren't toxic douches. I love this game so much and I'm grateful for all the awesome people I've met playing over the years, but hate coming across dudes who clearly hate women and just act like entitled 13 year olds. Will say they tend to be the outlier in my experience but just as with any facet of life, good and bad people to be found. Another great Side Gig Dan!
This format, and production, is fantastic, but there’s room for improvement, with the host/caddy for sure. The insight from these pros, is invaluable. Let what they’re saying breathe for a second. There were countless times, where he interjected, when Joel was still sharing his thoughts. Stop rushing to talk, even if/when you’re asking good questions.
I was hesitant to commit an hour of my life to watch someone else play golf. The typical UA-cam “bro” golf gang gets tired, fast. Or the host who is over energetic and asks stupid questions. However, this video was fantastic. I simultaneously learned a great deal about Joel as a person and some great insights on how he plays the game. As an advanced amateur and aspiring scratch player, this content was extraordinary. Keep up the good work. You’ve gained a passionate fan.
This is similar to the old “Playing Lesson with the Pros” on The Golf Channel. A little more laid back style. I love these. Love hearing both the technical parts of the game and the personal side mixed in. Great work!! 👏
This is fantastic. Great content--wonderful insights into Joel and great chemistry between them. Dan has found is niche and footing. When he came to foreplay people were hard on him. Talent always wins and Dan is a winner. Loves golf, really smart and funny in his own way. Love his work and this series. Keep it up Dan.
Full Swing was great at showing how cool and normal Joel is. He’s like one of the boys but has more talent in is pinky than I will ever have. Great episode
I got to watch his first 3 years of golf when he was a kid as an assistant at Clarkston G&CC, where his family had a membership. I called him to the tee for his first round of golf and by the time he was 8 I knew he would be on the PGA Tour. He was a golf prodigy from the very beginning. Great family, mom and dad were great people and raised Joel well. He has been through a lot of adversity but still made it work.
People like what they can relate to. That’s why guys like Joel and Ricky Fowler are so likable, because they seem like normal dudes. They might not be chasing a win every week, but they are relatable. That being said, I think Joel has grown a lot these last few years and takes golf a lot more seriously. Great dude that everyone wants to win. Whether that be on the golf course, or just in life.
I freaking love Joel! He’s every weekend golfer but just much better than us! I feel like I would get along great with this dude! Class act! Great golfer! Good dad! Good husband! Just a cool cat all around
What a brilliantly produced piece of work! Dont get me wrong the content is class but the way this video has been shot is unreal! The visuals, the music and the overall editing are just top drawer 👏🏼
Omg…what a great video! Two great dudes. Both great communicators. I learned 2-3 great tips (ex: stand slightly closer to the ball for a straight burner off the tee). Awesome!!!
Joel is simply a good human. I hate seeing him beat himself up for not focusing enough on golf when he just had his first kid. I think much more highly of him for not focusing on golf at that point.
Jole seems like a pro you would want to play a round with as an amateur golfer he seems like he has lots of nuggets and tips. He's so right I grew up on a golf course and everything he said is so true
JD (this one…the real one) reminds me of an every-man golfer. I mean, you look at him and don’t think “I bet he’s a professional athlete.” Then you see him absolutely crush it…and it gives all of us choppers hope.

Thank you! 🙌 Maybe we'll do a mini series of the production guys breaking down some of our more intensely edited videos!
@@ForePlayGolfplease do, that would be awesome to see. Great stuff as always!

The cut with a loud music pop after Joel drops “I mean, look at Riggs.” Prieto level. 👏

Again, best series out there for real golf fans. Keep them coming Dan.

Not to mention all the game changing golf club infomercials we would have to watch! 😂
5 years ago, this wouldn't have been broadcast anywhere
This content is elevating this channel so much, this type of video is what all of us are looking for.
This is the best golf related media I have seen in a long time.Thoughtful and well produced. Well done,
Dan really knows golf and can talk to these guys in their element. Great stuff!
Danny Rap gets too much crap. I think he’s an incredible addition to Foreplay.
@@bdbeaudette 100% agree
@@bdbeaudette He's annoying. And added zero value to full swing

this is great golf content. Might be my favorite content out of foreplay, 4 man scrambles close second

Best UA-cam golf series there is

Finished 12th at the Players! Lovely stuff
Just to say Dan, this content legitimise's this channel as a golfing channel vs 4 dudes playing scramble. Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Some of the best content on this channel. Great work Danny!
Joel is such a good person. Stunningly genuine.

I loved the bunker raking lesson!!!! Somethings us scrubs never think of.
Who does not love Joel Dahmen, Long Drink ambassador and spectacular dude!
Some of the best stuff on Barstool Sports. Dan is doing awesome content!
Dan this is your element. Keep these coming.
I agree with the others. It’s a refreshing way to do an interview. Joel sounds down to earth.
Thank you Fireball for sponsoring! This is better than watching pro golf on TV!
Joel 100% steamed about that finish for the rest of the day.
LOVE these videos, keep it up!
This is what you call a "playing lesson"...learning how to manage your way around a course is the key to playing good golf.
Joel so fun to watch hope good things come to him this year
Love this so much. Really enjoyed the episode with Big Irish, but this is the fav now.
What a great guy… thank you both.

Joel is World Class. So enjoyed this. Also, some great content to help my golf game. Keep it up
Absolutely love Joel! What a guy!
Love the series, keep it up!
D rap x Dahmen is such a vibe. Awesome video!! The production is A+
Love this series, great stuff Dan and team🙌
This is amazing! Love the talk about Shot Patterns! :)
Love these!!! Keep them coming
Bravo Danny ...love this gig.
The Ebay hybrid anecdote is arguably the best thing I've heard this year.
he balled out in players too. what a great dude.
Absolutely banger. Joel is a real one.
I need PGA, and TV golf as a whole, to figure it out….but in the meantime this series is keeping me going
Nipsey hustle “rip to that guy” 🤣 love it
Best video on UA-cam in 2024 hands down. Loved every second and it was REAL AF
I must admit this is my favorite episode you guys have ever dropped.
The rake lesson in the bunker was top tier
Danny is such a likeable guy. What a great series .
Damn this is good content and Joel looks great. Literally would never get this quality of content on TV.
please bring trent's breaking series back - best thing around !!!
These are great videos and each one gets better. How are people not watching these? Keep it going D Rap.
The bunker fix lesson was everything
What a great watch. Some of the best golf content on UA-cam for sure. Keep these coming!
Great job, this was such a good video, a great insight on how a pro approach’s the game.
Fucking Danny Rapp is out here turning haters into converts with great content! Props to Joel for always being a standup guy.
Standing closer to the ball to lower the ball flight is wild, if I did that I would hit the biggest hosel rocket of all time
I love these vids. Nothing beats the keegan one imo, but Joel seems like an awesome guy and great hang.
This entire video I thought that Riggs was the one doing the caddying and I was just beside myself with rage as he gave tips on where to hit, etc.
What a great video. awesome job to everyone involved.
Very nice video and also nice to see Joel Dahmen hitting the ball well. High hopes for him this year. 👍🏼😊
Top tier content. GG's DRap and crew!
This is real good. Nice work Dan
Favorite series Foreplay does by far.
This and Trent breaking 90. Nothing else.
This is great content…keep it up Dan!
Yeah these style of videos are VERY good.
How good of a caddy would Dan be- so uplifting. Also best line of episode was Joel: "its not that hard being a decent human being."
Love this series
Do one showing a day in the life of a professional caddy, both high end and journey person. As an old club caddy, how do they make it?
Joel is simply a good human. I hate seeing him beat himself up for not focusing enough on golf when he just had his first kid. I think much more highly of him for not focusing on golf at that point.

“ I spend time 😅with smart people🤔
“The missing link to my golf game🙌”
Joel is such a cool guy. It would be awesome to play with him.
Dan called it at the Players....well done Joel!
What a great video!!! Thanks!

Ricochet for Riggs lol, “can be a 8 handicapper if you are a good putter like Riggs”
Love that Joel referred to it as a “nip” shoutout New England and CT and the packie
These are such great vids
Love this series!!
GREAT STUFF BOYS
this is some of the best content on youtube golf
great episode
What a great dude.
Joel is ultimate dude
I loved this
Great video. Joel has an interesting mind. Great guy.
This Joel Dahmen is a golfer of all time
I can’t believe more people aren’t watching this…
Joel is an awesome person
