Holy crap!!! Ok... so, I started recording life with a low budget. I did what I culd with what I had.. Any way... I ordered this TZ x3 after watching your video and I am blown away! The noise floor if almost non existent! The clarity and range is phenomenal! Worth EVERY penny! Thanks ! I'm actually looking forward to recording this weekend! You're the best!
We have the Stellar X2, X2 Vintage, and the X3. Each stands on its own merit and will give you different tonal qualities to choose from. All three are fine mics.
@@campar1043 In my opinion, yes. On the surface, the X3 sounds like it would be a better fit for your voice. The X2 has a upper-mid scoop which may well exaggerate the scoop you have in your voice. X3 is more flat with a gentle, minimal upper-mid boost. I love the X2 on overheads, but tend to prefer the X3 on voice (depending on the voice!).

I have an x2 but my voice is kind of high mid scooped but has alot of sibilance, doesnt play very well with the x2, would you recommend the x3?

@@theglobalzrecordingproject yeah you nailed it, I also noticed the upper mid scoop. Gonna exchange it with an x3, thanks
Sounds fantastic!
I'm surprised this doesn't have more views! I definitely need to pick one of these mics up, a much needed upgrade from my AT2035.
i have at2035 and Stellars X2 - Vintage + regular. So, the difference is huge with that at2035. Love stellars)
I swapped an at 2035 for an X2, its much better, now im considering the x3
X3 doesn't sound balanced.
