This felt like the fastest roller coaster in the park and I’m sure it was up there with Kumali. Crazy! And quite scary in terms of speed lol

About time this ride got a repaint and the trains fixed up it looks good :) they should put the launch in a tunnel with lighting effects and smoke would make this good coaster great
Sean Woolfenden We said that when we were there a little racing tunnel or similar but at the same time having it open has that natural elements effect of the wind in your face on the launch
This ride taught me that the rain feels surprisingly sharp at 60mph. Fantastic ride though.

In Toverland, The Netherlands, they have the Booster Bike. Almost exactly the same ride. It's a really cool coaster.

The fact this coaster immediately goes through trim brakes after launch, and has zero theming, has always upset me.
All coasters at Flamingo Land severely lack theming 😞 a real shame isn’t it as a nice tunnel section on the launch and some trees, sign posts etc could really amp up the immersion

Those brakes are only to be used in case the launch didn't propel the trains up to the appropriate speed. That's Vekoma's solution of roll back brakes on their hydraulic launches

I find launch coasters ointkmidatign, vut swallowed my fear yesterday and did this. It was awesome! The launch really took my breath away. Shame about the truk break straight after the launch, but otherwise a great fun coaster.
I really liked the restraints too - something a buit different. As a small person, I didn't find them too uncomfortable at all.
I love how cool the restraints are too 😊

Velocity is 1 of my favourite rollercoasters as well as Kumali, Mumbo Jumbo and Hero but when it doesn’t make the motorbike noise you don’t know when the ride is going to zoom off but when it does make the noise you know when the ride is going to zoom off

Those aren't trim brakes, they are there to stop the train completely if there is a problem during the launch.

Been on this with a friend of mine 6 times last week for college trip and sat at back and didn’t expect. I like it. (That’s 10 times I’ve been on it. Twice when I was in year 9, 4 times with myself and 6 times with my friend)

@@Mary-qu5dd Hi! I know you won’t see this now or you’ll have already been on it but I went on it in October 2020 and it is literally “1, 2 and launch on 3! I don’t like rollercoasters but I went on it because my little sister and brother wanted to go on it and at the beginning I was holding my breathe because I’ve done that on everything roller coaster I’ve been on and I figured if would be better than screaming since my mouth would be dry after, but at soon as you get to the first hill it’s completely fine, I cried all the way up the hill and halfway around I screamed “THIS IS EPIC”!! so it is definitely not as bad as it seems. I am a very tall 13 year and and I embarrassed myself through the queue 😂

@@monty9052 Phew! I always remember my friend losing his glasses on Colossus at Thorpe Park. Thankfully they fell onto the only part of the ride that has metal mesh and easy access to retrieve them with some careful finger pokes 😂

I literally thought I was going to fly off this ride. I didn’t feel safe at all.
It's got some great airtime. Perfectly safe with the Vekoma harnesses but it certainly leaves you feeling more open to the elements that's for sure!
It felt very safe strapped it well and never thought I was going to fall off

Hiii, so I’m hoping to go to flamingo land at some point this year.. last time I went I went on two rides (cliffhanger and the small Dino coaster) then went home because I chickened out.. I have never been on a extreme coaster, only the small one at our local fair. Which ride do you think I should go on first so I can get over my fear?
Hey thanks for commenting! I mean Cliffhanger is a ride that still intimidates me so the fact you went on that means you’re already way braver than you give yourself credit for. If you really wanna build up form dino I’d hop on Twistosaurus and see how you feel with the rotations and the track. Once you’re comfortable with those two then Velocity is your next one so you can assess how comfortable you are with speed. Hero is a bit rough and jerky and Kumali is intimidating so those two would come after for sure. That’s the order I’d do them in personally, I’m scared of heights and I still push myself to do them, it’s a mindset but building yourself up is exactly what I did and it helps a lot! This was my first roller coaster, I decided that even if I really hated it once I was on then it would be all over so quickly that it wasn’t going to be a big deal! I thoroughly enjoyed it but still won’t go on any coasters that invert when your on.

I remember going about 12 years ago on hoilday there and because there wasnt many people in the park they were letting you stay on the rides we done tht 10 times in a row and my legs felt it the next day

Decent ride, not been on it for over a decade. I am surprised to see no theming at all still
It’s a shame as it’s not a bad ride whatsoever but the lack of theming is a strange decision. With that said the coaster next door has LOTS of theming planned for it may spread out into Velocity’s ride area too 🤞

On the motor bike rollercoaster did it even have a seatbelt or something or was it just that on its own?
Has a harness that clamps down on your back, very secure, very comfortable

don't know if ur still reading old comment but I love velocity and I love roller-coaster but i just can't do rides that are high and go upside down cos i feel like i will fall out the seat or somet how do i get over this 😂
Of course I try and read as many as I possibly can! It's a great coaster and I was like you regarding height but I took it a step at a time and i'm now comfortable getting on high coasters even though I'm still always nervous every single time on the way up haha

Danny Clarke Not stupid at all bud, the harness pushes down on your back as you’re leaning over the bike and your feet are bent backwards like an actual motorbike mount

What’s the yellow ride to the left just before the ride starts? That new?
It's the new coaster, currently unnamed but is said to be called 'Inversion' (imaginative I know) it was delayed due to the pandemic but work has started up again on it recently ready for a 2022 opening.
